((Um, Tabitha, if that's your sample post that was required, I believe you were supposed to PM it to Tomachi with your character's biography and statistics. sweatdrop ))

A sigh escaped Roy's lips as he ran a hand through his dark hair. "I don't know if I'll have the time. You know how busy I can get." Roy bent down to pick up the puppy, who had earlier been enjoying the attention that Riza had been giving it. Scratching the dog lightly behind it's ears, he was suddenly struck by a though. "Hmm... Hawkeye, why did you come out here, in the first place? You apparently to have something important to tell me." The puppy wriggled in Roy's arms, trying to make itself comfortable. Noticing this, Roy adjusted his hold on the dog, supporting it's bottom while holding it against his right shoulder. It began to nibble on the golden cord on his uniform, but if Roy noticed, he didn't say.

Riza reached over to Roy's shoulder and gently pulled the golden cord out of the puppy's jaws before dropping her hand. "Ah, yes, I almost forgot. The Furher sent paperwork directly to you. He'd like you to sign it immidiately."

"Is that so? Alright, I'm going, I'm going..." replied Roy, moving the dog towards his other shoulder, away from the cord. Nodding his thanks to Riza, he carried the dog with him back to the office, making sure to quickly grab Havoc's ashtray from the utility closet. He arrived in his office, setting the ashtray down on Havoc's desk where he usually kept it, and put the puppy on the floor once he got to his own desk. Sitting in his chair, he sighed to himself, and took the papers that the Fuhrer wanted signed.

Riza arrived not long after and sat at her desk once again.

The soldier waited for Roy to finish and sign the papers.

Suzu stuided herself in the full-body mirror, she was wearing a simple gray dress. Well, simple to her parents anyways, the fabric was very expensive and it trailed behind her a little. She would be meeting him today, and wearing a straples tight dress did nothing to improve her mood. Sebastian, that was his name, Sebastain Yoland. A very ugly name in Suzu's opinion. She gave a short sigh, and walked outside her room and into the hallway. Her parents were waiting in the giant entryway below, on rich red carpet with the classic rich person chandeler. The stair spindles were hand-carved and a deep cherry, the walls were a different wood of which Suzu coudn't name at the moment. She started walking down the curvy stairway, wondering where exactly this Sebastian guy lived.

Roy set his pen down, finally done with the papers that the Fuhrer had sent him. Gathering the papers together, he handed them over to the soldier, who promptly thanked him, saluted, and left. Leaning back in his chair, Roy looked around the room, his gaze falling to the area under his desk. The puppy was pawing at his boots, not liking how Roy had ignored it as he signed the papers. Roy reached down, picking the small dog up and sat it upon his lap. Happy with the attention, the puppy lay content on Roy, laying it's head down as if to take a short nap.

The sight reminded Riza of Hayate and she began to regret not bringing him today. "It seems, sir, that you've both grown attatched. . ." she noted, giving him a tender smile.

((Hello everyone I will start posting tomorrow, but because I have a custom character I wanted to post the quick bio I sent in with my request to join so you all knew a little about my character right off the bat:

Gaia Name: UltimateJagger

Character Name: James Spade (Spectrum)

Age: 24

Appearance: Medium Height and Build. Tends to dress in formal fashion. He is the sort of person you look past without a second thought. He has very light blond hair that is almost borderline white. His most distinctive trait is an automail eye with a white transmutation circle on it.
Sex: Male

Biography: James Spade's profile at Central will tell you that he died investigating "Forbidden Alchemy" for the military. In reality James was secretly looking into the myths surrounding the Philosopher's Stone, but as he learned more and more he began to fear the stone and those who would wish to posses it. He began to suspect he was being used by some unseen force to find the stone and immediately fled from his research and the military. Not wanting to show their interest in the stone quite yet James was reported dead, but a secret bounty remains placed on his head known only by choice State Alchemists.

The birth of Spectrum followed James' death. He was severely wounded by a gunshot to the face by the very State Alchemists hired to hunt him down. Although he managed to kill them, he passed out and very nearly died.

Saved by a master automail crafter and now calling himself Spectrum, he began a new life. He had seen Alchemy destroy so much that he decided to punish those who would profane the mystic art. He has honed his own Alchemical skills to the degree of perfection and now hunts in an effort to repair the damage that "corrupted alchemy" has done to the world.

Alchemy/Powers: He has the very unique ability to transmute light and sound. He can create shadows and convert the light into powerful and burning beams. He is also able to create powerful focused sound burst capable of smashing stone.

Above all he is never without a transmutation circle, because his automail eye is actually capable of projecting a perfect transmutation circle onto the ground. A side effect of this is that this method only works when using his "Spectral Alchemy" due to the circle's design specifically to advance that type of power.

Any additional Information: In many ways he is like Scar, but slightly more just and predictable. He does not favor the military out of fear of what they will do when they learn who he is and he is difficult to get close to. That said he stands for justice above all and would be more than willing to put everything on the line for those he cares for. The other side of that coin is he is willing to brutally kill those who abuse alchemy and it's principals.

Ok looking forward to joining.))

Spectrum steadied himself before entering the city. He took a long moment to pull his large hat down as low as it could go without obscuring his vision too much. What was he thinking? He had finally achieved it, the likleyhood of the military ever finding him let alone recognizing him was very slim at best, but now here he stood. Standing a mile or so from a military base in a city that was still in a panic and searching for a man with a large scar on his face. He was not responsible for the deaths of these state alchemists, but he matched the description well enough to be questioned and if they dug to deep they would know exactly who he was. The Fuher himself had placed the bounty on James' head and no amount of explaining would be able to deter the eager military dogs to let him go if caught.

None the less he was here. Searching for a criminal, a person whos perverse use of alchemy had left three children orphans two towns back. There was a massive reward on the man who did it's head, but that didn't matter to Spectrum. This was personal, the man would suffer equal to that of which he had caused those children.

"Equivilent exchange indeed, State Alchemist or not I would follow you to the ends of the earth to make you pay for what you have done." Spectrum said quietly, examining the man's picture, He had no name to go by, only that this man was a State Alchemist. That he was stationed in this city and that he had felt the need to shoot two people at a bar shattering the lives of three children.

He took his first steps in, "As long as I get this one, it doesn't matter what happens to me."

"It does seem so, doesn't it?" Roy gently pet the small puppy on it's head as it relaxed on his lap. "Maybe I will keep him, perhaps." Taking care of a dog couldn't be that hard, could it? Turning his gaze back to his desk, he couldn't hide his groan of frustration as he took note of how much paper work he still had to do. "Damn it, Fullmetal... Why do you have to cause so much destruction wherever you go?" asked Roy to no one in particular. Noticing that Riza was still there, and would probably want him to finish his work as soon as possible, he carefully scooted his seat closer to the desk to get to work. Picking up his pen, he started on the massive pile of papers, getting straight to work.

He'd finish his work early so he could spend more time playing with his new puppy.

Spectrum checked his watch, It had been a great deal of time since he had seen any movement around the military facility. So far all he had observed from his rooftop perch was a man, woman, and small animal enter the primary complex.

His target supposedly worked out of an offshoot building to the southern end of the street. It had been Spectrum's hope that he could be in and out before the military manged to mobilize anything.

Rain began to fall, but at this point nothing could deter Spectrum he was focused entirely on the mission and nothing could stop him.

"Help! Someone please help me! -- Oh god someone come quickly!" a young woman screamed stumbling out from her home.

Spectrum heard it. The sound immediately tugged at his heart. Everything in him pulled towards the scream, but his mind forced his body still. His eyes had just caught site of the target. Sure enough he was entering a different building than those he had seen earlier. It was just far enough away -- if he planned on surviving this, now was the time to go. That meant ignoring the calls for help behind him.

"Well this figures." Spectrum knew what he had to do. Slowly he lifted himself from his perch on the roof.

((In my first post I'd said that Roy was done... but no matter... you know how paperwork is... randomly appearing out of nowhere these days... sweatdrop ))

Riza shook her head. If he'd done it eariler... She cracked the pages of her novel, found the last page she was on, and began to read once again. Time had gone by surprisingly fast when she checked the clock; it'd been at least two hours.

"I suck," Spectrum said to himself, "not just a little, but a lot." At the moment he was running the length of the rooftop toward the screaming girl. "What kind of world are we coming to when the whole city stays idle and depends on me to save this girl?" He leapt from the side of the roof loosing his hat on the way down.

Spectrum was now able to fully see the girl, she looked young maybe 14 years old. Blood was lightly dripping from her hands. He called out to her, "What's going on what is the mat--" Before he could finish a large creature slammed into him knocking him across the road.

"...great a Chimera." Spectrum was back on his feet almost instantly and turned to face his attacker. The creature had the head of a falcon, claws of a lion, and the body of a serpent. Instinctively Spectrum's hand fell to his pistol, but he thought better of it. This would be a good distraction for the military, but if they got here too soon it would be for nothing.

Spectrum activated his automail eye and a transmutation circle appeared before him, shining directly onto the creature itself. The creature bellowed at the light it's shriek shaking the buildings. "Impressive set of vocals, let's see what we can do with that!" Spectrum leapt at the creature arm outstretched. Again the creature went to roar, but the sound came out muted and dampened.

Lightning sparked around Spectrum's body, he smiled, "Lemme send that right back at you." Transmuting the sound waves into a focused energy a blast wave slammed into the creature lifting it totally off the ground and dropping it several feet away.

"Get away from this now girl, it's gonna take more then some sound waves to beat this thing."

The girl simply nodded, still stunned, and ran away toward the military complex. "Shall we continue?" Spectrum asked sourly, thinking only that this day had not gone at all to plan.

"Done!" said Roy, allowing himself to lean back in his chair to stretch his muscles. The puppy, still nameless, squirmed in his lap at the sudden movement, waking up and looking dazed for a moment. Shaking it's head free of sleep, it stretched and yawned on Roy's lap, and looked up at him expectantly. Giving in, Roy scratched the pup behind it's ears, and looked around his office. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm orange glow on everything that it touched, making the sky look like it was on fire. Carefully putting the puppy on the floor, Roy got up from his seat, pushing his chair in towards his desk as he turned towards Hawkeye. "First Lieutenant Hawkeye, I'll be taking my leave now. Have a good evening."
