Mikaril's eyes grew wider when he heard the blade being unsheathed. To do someone in right at the entrance of an alley with a hundred witnesses a few feet away! Then again, he thought miserably, this IS a society of drow. It was a general rule to do your business in secret lest anyone witness it, but if it didn't involve a House attack, did anyone really care? And he wasn't exactly from the general area. Even if his House bothered to look for him, it could be months or even years before they found out anything, if they even cared to search that long.
He watched the colorful drow come to his defense with a measure of surprise, and confusion at the guard's words. Lady Zariira? That drow sure didn't look or sound like a lady. Unless......he pursed his lips. Unless he had a mistress. Which would explain his finery. Wonderful, he thought, it HAD to be a female I stole from. Probably a powerful one too.
He watched as the other one arrived, huffing and puffing, and he wondered if this one would insist on the other killing him for his trouble. He still had his armor, but pretty much the only enchantment it had was a silencing one; it's strength was typical, which meant it likely wouldn't defend a well-placed blow with that much strength behind it. It took every ounce of discipline he had not to struggle free and make a break for it; one move and one of the guards would surely grab him and bust his head against the wall, and he definitely had no protection there.
He heard a small ping as the guard gave him a poke with his dagger, and he bit his lip hard to keep from smiling. Could the guard not see that he was wearing armor? Well, any advantage you can get.....
He flinched and jerked as though he had felt that poke and got unsteadily to his feet, looking as docile as he dared.

The guard had not missed the feel of the armor under his hand. However he felt the small poke and resounding metallic reply had given him some minor satisfaction.

Once everyone was to their feet, Kyil unfortunatly felt at a loss as to what should be done next. His guards however, seemed to know well enopugh what they wanted to do.

With the one still gripping Mikaril tightly, the second guard made to start searching him for the stolen purse and of course for any weapons he could take from the captured drow.

"Ah...so... Now we get what was taken and then we go right?" Kyil asked as he watched the guards. The one holding Mikaril did not attmept to mute or conceal his mocking laugh. So very different from the one Mikaril had let out a short time ago.

"No Sir Consort." He stressed with open mocking the title for Kyil. "We will take him back to the dungeouns and inform Lady Zariira of his theft. She will decide how best to deal with the mongrel."

Despite the iron hand feeling strong enough that he was sure his shoulder armor would need to have a dent hammered out of it, Mikaril kept his face stony, even as he let the second guard frisk him. He didn't so much as wince when his dagger was discovered; he was more concerned with the fact that now the guard would have to be both blind AND stupid to think that he had no armor, for there it was, in all its glowing glory.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the guard poke his hand into his brown satchel, and again he had to smile; that thing was always empty thanks to the enchantments put upon it. He wondered for a minute if perhaps he should have placed the purse there and have it whisked away, but he knew he had wanted it out and within reach so that he could use it for his purchases.
And speaking of; he heard the distinct clinking as the purse was pulled out of his cloak's inner pocket. Wonderful, he thought, they're probably going to skin me and make ME into a new coin purse. He was vaguely unconcered wiht anything else they would find; just the jade earrings he had purchased earlier, which he didn't really want anyway, and his toolkit, which was replaceable.
Mikaril couldn't help but let a shadow of fear pass over his face at the mention of them taking him to this mistress. Still, he didn't miss the guard's obvious mockery when he had addressed the colorful drow, and he couldn't help but feel a tiny lick of sympathy. As the guard began to march him out of the alley, he passed by the obviously stricken drow and mumbled,
"Sorry I laughed at you."

Dagger, earrings, coin purse, and kit were removed by the searching guard. He may have been slower then his companion, both of eye and foot, but he was keen enough to ferret out the small hidden items on the young thief. He did not miss the weird sort of armor he wore either, though he did not make mention of it right away.

The guard pocketed his coin purse, along with the jade earrings, then joined with his companion by clamping a hand on Mikaril's other shoulder. Two guards hauling a little thief through the streets would not get too many glances after all. Over the course of the search, the first guard had taken possession of Mikaril's dagger. With his own blade now sheathed he was inspecting the thief's blade as they marched Mikaril out into the street.

"Strange armor...looks like magecraft." The guard whom had done the searching spoke as they walked.

Kyil, he had indeed heard the apology from the thief. He had not managed a reply however, as he was currently fighting the ashamed blush out of his cheeks. Being rebuked by his own guard had stung a bit. As he now knew they were heading back to his Mistress' House, he had to subdue these shamed feelings and return to the light hearted guise he wore for Zariira. Still..it was hard to smile when the fabric of your skirt was clinging to each pert buttcheek independantly. He felt like everyone he walked past was going to look and laugh at him!

"We'll strip him once we got him in a cell. Doubt he'll be needing it much longer anyways." Kyil heard the second guard reply with such a...horribly pleased tone. For a few moments Kyil walked silently behind the guards, rather then before them as he should have. With their catch he noticed they were walking at a quicker pace. Most likely due to a eagerness to get their victim to a place they could take their time. As well as out of sight of the faint hearted Kyil...

"Pity that. He's got a pretty face you know. Maybe Lady Zariira will let him languish a bit in the dungeon. Eh?" The other guard replied with a even uglier tone then Kyil cared for. He knew that tone. he had heard it from time to time. he could even imagin what the other guards face looked like as he spoke.

"No." Kyil forced the word from his lips. Though they felt a little cold and weak as he spoke. The one guard, he who had Mikaril's dagger, cast a glance over his shoulder at Kyil.

"No?" His voice was...a challenge... Kyil recognised this and had to quell the automatic response to bow his head and submitt to that tone.

"No...I...want him...taken to my room the moment we get back." The words came...easily enough. Though Kyil's gut twisted at the angry and not so pleased look on the guards face.

"As you wish Sir Consort..."

((You're killing me with this butt stuff. rofl *Feels immature*))

Mikaril held his tongue at the guard's comment about the armor, though he couldn't resist a stab of pride at the compliment. It may have a silence charm, but the glowing designs were his doing. He didn't acknowedge the remark, but continued to march along like a puppet, offering no outward resistance.
He tried to ignore the banter between the guards, but it became increasingly more difficult, which was probably what the guards were hoping. Stripping him meant taking the cloak too, and he'd rather lose the armor first. He doubted his tormentors would allow him to keep the cloak on, especially if he hinted that he preferred it. He wondered how much of it the guards reall meant and how much of it was just hot air to try and prompt a reaction out of him.
At the mention of him having a pretty face, thre was no disguising the sudden paling of his features. He remembered his sister once telling him malicious tales of tormentors who preferred what she called 'male meat' who enjoyed tormenting handsome young thieves in horrible ways. Much as he knew his time would come one day to travel down that particular road, he would much prefer it NOT to happen in captivity and be a part of a line of torments.
He heard the colorful drow intervene once more, and he turned his head to look at the strange one. Upon hearing HIS plans for him, Mikaril felt the knot in his stomach unravel slightly. He was still wary, but at least if THIS one tried anything funny, he would be much easier to subdue as he made his escape.

Though the guard did not question his desires. Kyil still felt as if he still did not have control of the situation. Perhaps he really did not. It was his Mistress' wrath the guards feared. It was only because of her that these guards even came with him. He was a....a investment...or something.

Once silence had fallen for a good few feet, the guard turned his attention back to the fore and continued his swift march back to Zariira's house. Kyil could tell from the stiffness in both the guards movements that neither were happy with his descion to have the thief taken to his room.

If it were that no attempt was made on Mikaril's part to break free of his captors, the trip back to the forbidding Seventh House would be rather quick. As per Kyils demand, the two would unhesitatingly march Mikaril to the expansive quarters given to Kyil.

Mikaril allowed himself to feel a glimmer of hope, though he had little time to think on what it was he was doing. If he let himself go into wherever it was he was going, he would stand less of a chance of escaping with his skin intact. Then again, he had pulled jobs in plenty of places he had never set foot in and he had had little trouble finding his way out again by observing his surroundings thoroughly. He could always do so here.
He decided that given the circumstances, this was the best course of action. Best to not try to get away at the moment, not unless he wanted to be backhanded senseless and wake up naked in a dungeon. And that was an optimistic outlook.
Being unfamiliar with the area, he didn't see the house they were heading to until he was passing through the entrance. He immediately began to observe every little thing he could, from doorways to how many occupied a room, seeking out every shadow and noting how many of the hired help lingered where. The guards continued to lead him on, and he hoped that it was to the drow's quarters that they were leading him, and not the dungeons.

Being the Seventh ruling house, Kyils Mistress lived in quite the impressive structure. Kyil himself had not yet learned his way around the place in truth. he kept getting lost when all he was trying to do was find his way to the kitchens. So it was that he truly needed the guards to lead him back to his quarters.

Which they were in fact doing.

Kyil was greatly relived when he saw the double doors to his rooms. He was even more so relieved when the servant girl standing boredly beside them hurried to fling them open at his arrival. She showed him a great deal more respect then the guards did, and for that he was grateful.

The doors opened to reveal a sultans harem type chambers. A large single rm with a plush silk covered bed, draped silks and exotic feathers as decorations. A full vanity that would the the envy of many females. Plush fur carpeting to make for soft walking stretched from one end of the room to the other. The only other door in the room was wide open to reveal a garish style bathroom far more fitting to a noble lady then to a simple drow male.

It would be into this room that Mikaril would be roughly thrust. Kyil would follow shortly afterwards, clutching his package to his chest as he turned to nod his head slightly at the scowling guards.

"That is enough. You may leave now. I will be remaining here for the rest of the day." Or so he currently planned. Kyil knew that if he wished, he could walk out those doors in seven minutes and demand to be taken elsewhere...and someone would comply. He would not though. He had other things to think about...such as... as the doors closed and clicked shut behind him....what was he going to do with the thief?

"Ah...so now...I guess...we are alone...."

Mikaril saw the double doors and tensed; double doors in his House were where the females were most likely to be found. But as they opened, he took the scene in with wide-eyed wonder. Seeing as the colorful drow was not being in any way submissive, he guessed that this must be the drow's own room. But what a room! Even his sister didn't have a room quite like this!
He found himself roughly shoved forward, and he stumbled as he tried to regain his footing and not trip up on the plush carpet. He couldn't help but wince as his filthy shoes came in contact with the carpet; it looked expensive, as did everything else. Such extravagance for a male was more than he could comprehend.
He rubbed his shoulder ruefully; that neanderthal's fingertips were going to leave one colorful bruise. He eyed Kyil warily as he walked in behind him. He didn't move when he gave ordersr to the guards that tehy were no longer needed, and his eyes darted around for possible places to hide. His mind spun with half-baked ideas, anything from trying to find a window to grabbing a disguise and pretending to be part of the hired help and casually walk out. But even that plan couldn't take place with Kyil standing here in front of him.
Mikaril tensed again as Kyil turned and faced him, and he found himself assuming a defensive posture.
"I guess we are. And I think you ought to know that if you have certain things in mind.." his eyes darted momentarily to the silk-covered bed, "I might retaliate."

The filth on his skirt demanded to be removed immediatly. However, Kyil was uncertain exactly what to do about the thief he currently had in his room. There was a single window to the room. A lovely spiderweb shaped glass criss-crossed with thin metal bars. He doubted the thief would exit through the double doors, and it did not occur to Kyil that he might seek escape through the window. All he could wonder was...what did he do now? He couldn't just shoo him away. The guards were sure to talk about this horrid outing and he did not want to inadvertantly shame himself further.

Still, he just -had- to get out of this skirt! Kyil re with one hand to uncomfortably pluck at his hip. Though he paused after a moment to blink as Mikaril would respond so...defensively.

"Certain things....resist?" Kyil's eyes drifted towards the bed that Mikaril had glanced at. For a brief moment nothing registered upon Kyils face, though that quickly changed. A faint smile pulled at his lips, and a sad butlight laugh chuckled forth from his throat.

"Oh..no...no no no... I couldn't do that even if you wanted me to. No no.... Mistress Zariira has been very clear. She does not wish to share me with another. You do not need to worry about any intentions I might have. I just did not want them to do something horrid to you."

Mikaril listened intently, then visibly relaxed, even managing a weak chuckle himself as he rubbed his shoulder. "Not me; I'd rather it be with someone I had the chance to know first." He looked around at the place once more, then down to his muddy filth-encrusted boots.
He looked up at Kyil and his next words came out in a rush.
"Umm, d'you mind if I.....that is...can I take my shoes off? See, you've been pretty civil to me and I don't wanna ruin your carpet..." Noticing also that the spotted skirt was still on Kyil, he deliberately turned his back to remove his shoes, placing them as close to the door as he could, figuring that would be the most likely to get cleaned, since that would be where the most dirt collected and people came and went.
Having given Kyil the opportunity to change, he took this time to study what little he could see of the room, namely the double doors. Perhaps it was his being more trusting than most despite his profession, but he no longer worried about being taken advantage of, but it still didn't hurt to stay alert and remain observant.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 01, 2008 10:43 pm

Kyil nodded his head slightly, the movement causing his earrings to sway and flash as he repiled to Mikaril's first comment. "Ah, it is nice to be able to be intimate with someone you have known and come to trust. But...sometimes it is not altogether wise I think. You wouldn't wish to get attached. Terrible things can happen then." He seriously doubted his advice would make much sense to the thief. or perhaps it was already common knowledge and he was just wasteing the young man's attention?

The rush of words, along with the simple and honest response the young thief gave him...it made it so incredibly easy for Kyil to truely smile.

"Oh no. Go right ahead. I would not mind at all. I just have to..ah..." Oh good! Mikaril had sensibly turned his back, giving Kyil the privacy he needed to drop his skirt from his waist and toe off his slippers. Since he already had his new pants tucked under one arm, he ripped into the paper packaging and hopped quickly into each of the legs. It felt weird, wearing no undergarments with the pants...but at least he was covered!

Stepping lightly over the furred rug, Kyil left the soiled skirt where it laid.

"I am called Ujool Kyil, though my Mistress refers to me as just Kyil. May I know your name sir?"

Mikaril paused as he undid his shoes to listen to Kyil's words. He replied without turning his head. "Well, I've yet to know someone on that personal a level; I'm not exactly desirable material to many females, unless they like them small and devoid of muscle. But thanks for the tip; I'll keep it in mind."
He finished taking off his shoes and placed them carefully beside the door, smiling as he wiggled his ten inoffensively clean black toes on the plush carpet. He tried to give the other drow plenty of time to change his pants, so he just stood there and tried to grasp the carpet with his toes. What a delightful fabric, he thought to himself, I wouldn't mind a square of this stuff in my secret room.
Hoping that his host was changed, he turned around slowly, sighing with relief as he saw him standing there in the pants he had watched him buy. Trying not to look at the soiled skirt lying on the floor, he tried to keep his gaze focused on Kyil's face rather than his colorful decorations.
"My name is Mikaril Torlyl. If you want to be technical, it's 'Mikaril Torlyl, youngest son of House Torlyl, 6th house of Undrek'Thoz.'" He smiled and shrugged his shoulders disarmingly. "If you don't want to be technical, then just Mikaril."

Kyil was quite thoughtfully considering Mikaril's profile when he turned about. His admission of not being 'desierable' had piqued the drows interest. Due mostly to the fact that, well...his entier lifestyle was centered around drawing the attention of females...or males...whomever was his customer at the time.

"Well... I'm not familar with style and dress incoporating armor. But I do not think your frame would be as much a turn off as you may think. You have potential I believe...maybe...you do have lovely features from what I can see. There are some females that like slender small men." Kyil spread his hands slightly to present himself, along with a slight jutting of one hip to a side. "I was not as fit as this when I first began working, yet I still had my fair share of customers. Perhaps it is just your presentation?"

Honestly though, Kyil felt he should admonish himself. He doubted the thief was interested in tips such as the sort He had to offer.

"Ah. Whatever you are comfortable with i have no problem complying with." Kyil responded when it came about to names and such. He couldn't help the smile that quickly claimed his lips. It was terribly hard to break certain habits...well...they were alone after all, and he did not think his Mistress would be cross with him so long as he held true to her commands.

"Would you like a drink Sir Mikaril? Or something to eat? What about your shoes? I am sure you probably would like them washed after being down that nasty ally."

Mikaril felt his face turning redder and redder with each of Kyil's declarations about his attractiveness to females. Try as he might, he just couldn't think of any bonds of affection between a female and someone like him unless it was something like a love-slave. Imagining himself with an iron collar around his neck and a loincloth made of less fabric than a wristband made more blood rush to his face. He probably looked brighter than a candle in the infrared.
He smiled as he observed Kyil and his pose.
"Well, maybe I haven't paid as much attention to my form as I should have, but I'm pretty sure I don't have half your muscle, and-" He paused for a second and let one of his hands wander up to the folds of his hood, where he grasped a bit of thr cloth between his fingers and absentmindedly rubbed it. "And I don't think I would be able to show so much of myself, definitely not comfortably."
He noticed what he had been doing and brought his hand down quickly, in time to hear Kyil's next words. He laughed again, that not-unkind laugh. "No need to 'Sir' me; Mikaril's just fine. I wouldn't mind something, so long as you have something in turn; I wouldn't want to eat in front of you. What do you recommend?"
