Pulga
Once, someone forgot to add the extra 0 at the end of 100,000 so I got a 1st gen death's whisper at 10,000 gold. I got PM saying that the person made a mistake, and wanted the other 90k. Guess what I did.
I was actually (embarassingly) on the bad end of one of those situations. Instead of listing a dark halo at 152,251... I listed at 125,521. I was very thankful that the guy was willing to refund it back to me (I still lost the listing fee, of course, but it was better than being out 25k). He honestly didn't have to (and I had been making profit that day anyway, so it would have been an acceptable loss), but it was nice that he did.
smile Anyway, I've never returned items that were missing a digit. On the other hand, I've never been asked to have the item returned. Most of the times I've benefitted from such a thing is when the seller has like fifty new donation items, and they're selling so quickly that they probably don't ever notice. Still, I wouldn't ever rub it in someone's face, unless they were a complete a** first (but then I'd probably ignore them, like 50% of the PMs I get).
