Aleister Crowley was a very popular occultist around the turn of the century who claimed to be "The Wickedest Man in the world". He claimed to have fantastical powers of connection with spirits, demons, etc and claimed that his magical powers allowed him to see into the future and perform acts of magic on other people. He was an influential member of the OTO and Golden Dawn.

Upon further search, it is in fact Lam, or a species of interdimensional/interstellar space beings whom Crowley claimed he could contact for information and other things. Members of the OTO still claim that, with the proper ritual, they can contact them and use them for guidance... But, Crowley also said it was probably not a good idea to attempt to contact them without knowing exactly what you're doing, as they're not exactly the friendliest creatures.
Either way... Still looks like a greyskin to me.
