She would have been preferred there to be a large current then a soft one - less of a chance of her butt falling to the ground. She hesitated, and threw a glance over at Shilling. He just churred at her quite happily, and gave a squirm.
So, Cleo drew a slow breath, her eyes half-hooded as she peered along the length of the room. ...dang. They squished closed briefly before she got off running. A quick little thing, she was! Small and fast, and she pushed up with her legs into a might jump!
--To fall on her face.
Well... Ow.
She winced and pushed herself up, pouted while on her knees. An accusing look was sent at Geia, before she huffed. Cleo stood up again, brushed off her knees, and ran again! Ran! And pushed herself up fiercely and flapped her wings harder then she did. This time she made sure to match the jump with the wings and straightened them out to soar!
Glee! She was gliding!
Granted, her landing was less then graceful: she stumbled a bit but she was standing when she was done, huffing and puffing.
"HA!"

Ligeia had started forward a couple steps when Cleo fell, a look of concern on his face... then he was momentarily frozen by the look that she threw him. He watched Cleo as instead of being upset or wanting to give up she tried it again, this time getting her wings to do what was needed for her to glide. He gave a bright smile, clapping his hands, "Great job Cleo!" He called out to her.

This time, Geia got a smile. Cleo jumped nearly violently from mood to mood. Rather, she hid the anger behind a usually in-place mask, something happy chipper. People liked those things better anyway. She bounced happily when back on her feet and put her hands on her hips with a triumphant grin.
"HA!" She paused. "Do I have to do that again?"

Ligeia looked over to where his father was standing taking down notes on his clipboard for an answer to her question.
The red hair teacher shook his head, "No, you can rest now. You will need to practice when you have the time if you want to master the skill. Just be careful when you try it the first time outside as the air currents outside are more powerful then in here." He cautioned her.
The owl gave her a smile, "Good luck in your next try." He said to Cleo.
Orpheus nodded, "Your free to go now, you can get some ice in the nurse's office if you need it."

"I'll be fine!" She beamed happily, and gave a little salute to Ligeia and Orpheus. "Thank you so much for teaching me! I'll be careful! Thank you!"
A little wave, and the skinny thing was gone. Zoom!
