That intimate speech, made her heart skip a beat. So maybe he felt the same about her? Could she only hope?
"I care about you too, Chocolate.. I care about you to a whole nother level.." She said with a bitter laugh. She loved this male, and she knew it. There was no fighting it, because she had lovedh im since she met him.
She had never been called beautiful before, and she turned her head away, blushing a bright red. "Oh Chocolate, you have silver tongue.." She licked his cheek, more intimately then the last had been..
She had those eyes.. Those deep eyes that begged him to see right through her..BNegged him to see her thoughts.

Chocolate frowned and nuzzled her lightly. "You shouldn't Shezaam, I'm no silver tongued hero for you." He lightly swept his muzzle along her cheek and head and sighed. "I'm too dark for your sweet light, and you should put your mind from me. I should put my mind from you, I shouldn't taint you princess."
He frowned and pulled away from her pacing. "I live alone, I feed alone, I sleep alone, all these things I do alone to prevent the pain of loss shezaam. The losses of my family, my friends, my packmates, they echo in my mind, each death following me. I am always the last, the sole survivor, and I could not bear to loose you, to be the last, alone, without your sunshine in the world."
He turned and snarled softly "You can see now? You must see! I won't drag you into loneliness just to have you for my own! No matter...no matter how I long for you."

So he had said it. He had said he felt for her. And now there was no losing her. She gave him a stern look, yet it was caring, and comforting as well. "Chocolate I think you know better than to know that you wont ever lose me.. And who are you to tell me you are too dark for me?" She laughed bitterly. "Have you seen the pack of which I came? They are spiteful blood thirsty cretans that I despise myself for being part of."
She looked at him with a narrowed eyebrow.
"I see you for who you are, and you cannot live alone forever..Someday someone needs to take that cold place by your side, and make your pelt warm at night.." She looked athim earnestly..

He danced back and looked at her shocked, yes she was bright, vibrant, beautiful. He hadn't expected her to turn her stubborn charms on him though. She conjured an alluring picture though, his darkness complimented by her sweet light, her warmth bringing him comfort in the long nights.
He frowned and shook his head "I will not allow you to think that you can make yourself happy with a brute like me! You are too deserving of better Shezaam!" He turned and fled with a snarl, though in truth the snarl was for himself. His words shamed him, he didn's have any right to allow or disallow her to do anything. He hoped however that the words would serve to anger her, and keep her from foolishly thinking of him as better then what he was. It was his fault, his failure, because of him others were dead and gone, and he was alone.
So very alone.

She was saddened when he went away..Sure that it was because he was not all that happy with her. If he was, he could accept that she loved him back. But something in her heart made that feel wrong..She knew that he loved her too..She knew he was running from what he was.
"Im not leaving you.." She whispered, her eyes firm.
And her head lifted, ina weary howl, at how her heart had broken for the first time in a long time.
