He felt nothing toward her words, not a sting of regret or self-loathing for himself. Instead he removed his arm sliding away from her almost as quickly as he had done before embracing her. "I suppose it would be lost on persons such as ourselves. I feel nothing for you outside of companionship and yet I was compelled to do that." He wondered for a moment to himself looking to the woman before him.
Reaching out to cover her eyes with his hand he spoke calmly. "Close your eyes. I wish to partake of one last experiment." Though he had no reason for using her to do such experiments, he figured she'd help him better understand himself and this world. After all she had said so herself that she would assist him when he asked. When he was certain her eyes were closed he tilted her head to the side slightly. Leaning down he brushed his lips against her own wondering if it would spark any reactions within him. Though he himself felt nothing, a tickle in the back of his mind came to life.Shooting forward with an alarming speed, Ennui grasped hold of Relique's arm roughly a deep hate filled voice following through. "So is this what harlots do now days? You just stand around waiting to be kissed? You little witch... stay away from him!" Seidus spat, clasping hold of the woman menacingly. "Although it's surprising you'd even stick around him knowing the dangers that lurk just under the surface. Have you told him yet? About me?" He snorted. "Nah, I don't think you have." He remained holding the other clockwork mulling over in his mind what to do. "Soooo... what fun little game should we play today? I could just kill you and be done with it. Goodness knows I'm tired of your face but what's the point of killing you if I can't have a little fun first?"

A shiver ran up her spine and her body suddenly felt as cold as winter's first frost. The pressure of his grip on her arm made her cringe, and goosebumps filled out on her pale flesh.
"Funny how it was he who kissed me out of his own free will, Seidus," she stated. She tried to adjust the way the sheer blindfold fell over her eyes by rubbing her face on her other shoulder. She paused, though, and hissed, "which I'm sure is more than he's ever done with you -- like you said: he doesn't even know of your existence. A one-sided relationship, isn't it?"
She did not fear Seidus even half as much as she despised him, for as she had stated earlier: fear was not an emotion that ran strongly in her. And that probably wasn't a good thing.

"That may be but I don't approve of your interactions with him. Allowing him to kiss you is just as much your own fault as his." Seidus sneered stepping away from the woman he despised. He kept his eyes diverted not wanting to repeat another episode of his fears. He'd learned the first time and that's all that he needed.
"I don't know what keeps me from killing you so much but if he enjoys your company perhaps you are of some use." He breathed finding a tree he quickly climbed up the truck resting on a limb far from the witch's line of sight.

With a deft hand she tore the fabric from her eyes. She stared at him full-on, but did not make a move to thrust her gaze in front of him.
"Hiding, Seidus?" she asked as she watched him move up into the tree. Her voice was sharp and cold, the complete opposite of her usual silver-bell ring. With venom in her eyes she glared up at the perch upon which he sat, but -- as he had so carefully accomplished -- he was out of her sights.

He let out a cackle when she tore at the fabric that was hiding her eyes. He laughed even more when the trees and branches made it impossible for her sight to reach him, plus the face that he was laying with his eyes closed in the tree. He didn't need to see to hunt, half the time hunting was done in the dark anyway.
"I'm sorry sweet but that little trick isn't going to work on me twice. I'll be careful around you so... do understand I've come prepared." He breathed. He went silent a moment then seemed to be moving in the tree before speaking again. "So what do you hope to gain by helping him? I don't think there's anything in it for you if you find a way to be rid of me. He'll be helpless..."

Relique let her pale eyebrows furrow and she took a couple steps away from the tree. She continued to watch the spot where she believed he sat, but allowed herself to give a moment to ponder his question.
Why WAS she helping him? Of course she wanted to rid Seidus from the earth... but that wasn't the reason why she had agreed to help Ennui in the first place. Never had she been the one to lend help to others; it had always been about her, really -- save for a few occasions. So why him? Why then and now?
"I don't know..." she answered, and rater lamely at that. It was the truth, though. She really didn't know why.

"You don't know?" He questioned almost accusingly as he shifted around in the tree. The branches gave off a groaning creak of his added weight but for the most part he made no indication of removing himself from his perch.
"So you blindly agree to help him not knowing why? Are you seeking his approval, affections maybe?" He wondered or was he taunting her? He couldn't tell at this point. One thing was certain, Seidus wanted out of this sorry excuse for an existence. He didn't ask to be attached to the mongrel but because he was, he had a responsibility to protect the naive Clockwork. If he didn't they both would suffer at the hands of these humans. "Well when you do figure it out please be kind enough to let me know. I so enjoy tormenting you." He chuckled lounging lazily in the bush of the tree.
