Shemei watched Firrah. He had so much energy she loved it. "Well I don't know...where do you want to explore?" she smiled and got up to her feet, "Would you like a ride wail you think of where we should go look for food first?" She knew where they could go for food and she was planning on taking the little male home with her. She felt a protective streak growing within her over him.

Firrah's gray eyes grew wide and even more excited when Shemei suggested that he ride on her.
"Yeah!" he exclaimed enthusiastically, clapping his hands together just once and then running towards the older Katorai. "Maybe we can explore a forest or a jungle or a cave or a desert or a meadow or anywhere we want!"
He circled Shemei once, twice, three time, and then stopped right in front of her, grinning sheepishly, one finger hooked on his lip, his toes pointed towards each other and head slightly lowered.
"Um ..." he murmured, slightly embarrassed, and if his fur wasn't so dark he would have had a bright red blush, "how do I get on you?"
He didn't want to hurt her, after all ...

Shemei laughed and laid back down flat on her belly. "Crawl on up...I am sorry I forgot you were a tad shorter than me." she smiled warmly and waited for the little male to get atop of her.
"Well those are a lot of places to see. Well I guess we shall wander and find places to go from there...but I think maybe a forest would be nice...and i can show you my home." she blushed softly and looked over her shoulder at him, "Well...that is if you would like to stay with me."

Firrah crawled carefully up onto Shemei's back, ever so careful not to pull on her fur, and when he had settled more or less in the middle of her back, just a little in front of her hips so that he wasn't only on her spine, he wrapped his legs gently around her stomach so that he wouldn't fall.
"Your home?" he asked eagerly, his ears pricking up brightly. "Stay with you? Really? For how long?"
He was unable to hide the excitement from his voice. Would he really be able to stay with her? What did that really mean? Would they eat together, sleep together, play together? He wanted to play with Shemei every single day!

Shemei smiled. "Well it is acutally not my home it belongs...to another but he allows me to day...and I am sure he would welcome you. And it would be as long as you like. You would have shelter and your own room, and I would get to to see you every day."
She smiled and started to walk towards the woods allowing her body to adjust to the feel of his smaller one where he was. She walked slow and as even as she cold. "We can walk by it first if you wish to look at it. Then maybe if you want we can go inside and you can see if you really want to stay with me."

Firrah was ecstatic about the entire idea, and as Shemei walked he leaned forward, bracing his hands on her shoulders so that he wouldn't fall.
"I think that would be the bestest best thing in the whole wide world!" he cheered eagerly. "It would be so much fun to play with you all the time! And we could explore and play and if I get dirty you can give me a bath ..."
His eyes grew slightly unfocused as he dreamed about all the fun they would have, living together.

Shemei found it very humorus that Firrah had drifted off into day dreaming and the last word he spoke was of her giving him a bath. She nods and was afraid to talk and distribe his thinking. She did not want to bring him down with the words of how unkind the owner of her home was. So for now she would just leave it alone.
She walked deeper into the woods moving smooth and slow her eyes scanning around. "I would enjoy it too Firrah...being with you so much and you better not get too dirty my tongue can get tired." she giggled and smiled, "You can pick any room you want but two of them, one is the owner's room and the other is his study. But all other rooms are open for you to claim if you like."

Firrah's reverie was interrupted by Shemei's voice once more, but he didn't mind, not one little bit. He listened to her intently, his expression growing thoughtful.
"It doesn't matter where I sleep," he smiled finally, "but it would be really neat if I can have a room that's near yours!"
And he lay down on her back, tucking his arms around her stomach so that he wouldn't fall, finally calming down a bit as he watched the scenery go slowly by. He found her quite comfortable ... he was glad she had found him, and he was glad that she was his friend.

Shemei tilted her head a bit and smiled, very glad to have Firrah relaxing and enjoying her. "I am sure that can be arrange but I do not think it wise if we share a room. For you will grow up one day and you will want to have your own time and space."
She moved and started to slow her her walk as a gigantic redwood tree started to appear. It have a huge metal door and windows all up it's trunk. Even though this tree was clearly a mansion and home it still seemed like this old tree was thriving and living.

Firrah's eyes grew wide as the tree came into sight, and he sat up once more, careful not to hurt Shemei's back.
"Whoa," he breathed, eyes wide in awe. "That's so ...."
He trailed off, not knowing a suitable word for the sight. His expression grew puzzled, though still intrigued, and he tilted his head to one side and asked, "What is it?"

Shemei laughed, "This is home...if you still wish to stay with me." she started to walked towards the tree there were some lights showing within the windows. She smiled. "Do you still wish to stay brother?"

Firrah nodded eagerly and tightened his legs slightly around Shemei's stomach.
"Of course I want to stay with you!" he said eagerly. "I think we would have a lot of fun together! It would be so neat, we could play all the time, or just be silly, or whatever you want to do!"
He couldn't hide the excitement from his voice.
"What's he like, the guy that you live with?" he asked her, his tone changing to curious. "What's his name?"

Shemei nods and smiles, "Yes brother we will have have so much fun together. I would love doing anything with you." She laughed and then as he asked about the owner of the house she tensed a bit "He is Ma..."
A deep slightly menacing voice sounded from behind them, "His name is Master Casimiro Damianos." He stood with his hips cocked to the side a and one hand resting along it. His flat emotionless eyes looked at the two of them. "Bringing home another stray Shemei?" He reached out and grabbed Firrah but the back of the neck and kicked Shemei out from under him.
As Shemei started to growl Casimiro put his foot to her neck. "For being defiant your new toy will have to face the punishment." He started to walk into the house carrying the small boy. "Come Shemei...you try to pull that act again I will do worse to him!"

Firrah could feel Shemei tensing beneath his legs, and suddenly he felt himself being lifted off of her by the back of his neck. He let out a strangled squeal of surprise, but it turned to a squawk of anger when he saw Shemei being kicked away.
"You big bully!" he shouted angrily, kicking and struggling as Casimirio brought him towards the house. "Let me go! Let me go! You're just a big meanie! Let go let go let go! I'll get you for this! I'll get you! You hurt Shemei! Let me go!"
And he growled and hissed, trying to make the bigger Katorai put him down so that he could run back to Shemei and make sure she was all right.

Shemei winced as she followed the master into the house, "Little brother I am alright...please....don't worry. She wanted to tell him not to struggle. That Casimiro liked it more when you struggled but she knew if she said something now the master would hurt him more.
Her ears lowered and now she knew that Firrah would not want to live with her after this. But after the frist few beatings if you learned your place Casimiro would leave you be.
She followed the master into one of the lower room which was dark and she did not struggle as Casimiro chained her hands to the one wall of a corner using the cuff on one wrist and then her neck to the other wall using the decorative cuff that had been forged around her neck. She kept her eyes locked on Firrah's her eyes showing regret and sorrow wishing she had never brought this on her little friend.
Casimiro Damianos smiled, "Big bully? You would not be saying that if your dear Shemei was playing with another little male instead of you would you?" He threw the struggling Firrah to a stone table in the middle of the room. "So she wants you to be a member of his family huh?" His voice was eerily calm and there was not even a change in tone from the even amused tone.
When Firrah tried to move to Shemei a dagger would zipp across his nose cutting threw the skin and cartilage of the bridge of the nose.
