"Aeonus is our bestest best friend! He's a Pride Lander too, he's older than me but that doesn't mean I can't beat him in a game of Pin!" She puffed as she was tickled, she couldn't help but laugh, wiggling under her grandmother's paw. To her, the signs of age were nothing, it was how one acted and behaved. "You are home now, aren't you, Grandma Koho? We're in the Pride Lands!"
Eiji'dai yawned softly as he curled up against her side, speaking over his shoulder at her, "When we do find him, lets just hope he remembers us. More importantly..." he whispered. "You."
Ezekiel purred softly as he scooped his daughter up into his paws and placed her on his chest again, poking at her. Since Safuma was with her family a lot, he spent a lot of time with the children and keeping everything in order for when he had guests or when Safuma returned home, which was frequent. He didn't know how long he could go without being near her and hopes that he never will find out.
"The maned wolf is a predator too, I figured if Taalis wanted a playmate, he would be good. Never met him formally, but I trust my cubs are doing the right thing. As for Stallion, Eiji'dai's zebra friend, he is an orphan from what I gathered. Since Eiji is all he had, I don't see why not. As long as no one tries to eat the poor thing. All of them are young, so friends are great for them, friends are good to have." At the sudden surprise at the mention of having so many cubs, he flicked his ears back as his face flushed. It was a little embarrassing but it was the truth. "Yeah. I'll explain it on the way home, I suppose or another time. But yes, there are fourteen of these little ones running around." The father spoke, rubbing his daughter's chin softly, earning a soft purr from her.
"Now that you know we are here, what do you think you are going to do? Are you going to stay at Pride Rock with the other royals?"

Koho smiled at the explanation of Aeonus, making another note to herself, though knowing she would forget more than likely, there were so many new faces that it was hard for her to keep track of everyone, and now that she had so many grandchildren of various degrees to spend time with, Koho had no idea how she would keep everything straight. "I have no doubt that you can pin any lion you want to my dearling! And yes, I'm home, I was born here you know, a long time ago." Koho winked at Taalis before her father took her away again.
Koho nodded at Ezekial's reasoning, she had no place in instructing a father about his children, and she never intended to. She just hoped that the little zebra stayed safe, "Friends are essential for cubs, for they become allies in adulthood," Koho nodded philosophically. She laughed though, as her grandson's cheeks grew red, "No need to explain cubs, my dear! They are a blessing, and the more the merrier!" And there was certainly no need to explain the number of cubs in front of a few of them. Koho was certain that the pair would have many more conversations when little ears weren't around, the male seemed to have a lot to explain "later".
The question seemed strange to Koho, she had long thought about the search for her family, but never what she would do after, since it had seemed an end in itself. It was an easy decision though, "I will do what I always do. Take care of cubs, spend time with my family and go to Pride Rock only when called." Koho smiled almost mischievously. Though she pulled off quite a royal act when she wanted to, she much preferred the energy of cubs to the stuffiness of "royal" adults. She had seen so much in her life, and she had always firmly believed in royalty that knew how to have fun, her brother had believed the same and she was always proud of him for it. That question brought another to her mind though, "Is there really so much separation between the royals and everyone else?" She remembered the time when everyone, every lion, slept at Pride Rock, but perhaps they were too numerous now...

"I know Uncle Ezeoha is a direct royal from the main tree. He sleeps in a den not too far from my own, but he is a single male with many cubs. I rather not speak about Ezeoha and his daily activities, but he was one of my teachers when I was younger. Needless to say, his lessons proved worthy and these cubs are proof that he isn't a scattered brain, one tracked mind lion," Ezekiel laughed as he watched Taalis slowly nod off on his chest. She was easily tired and the first to fall asleep to be the first to wake and play again. In his mind, that wasn't explaining the cubs. The thing he needed to explain was... there was two mothers.
"If I didn't have my friends, I dunno if I could have found a shelter. If it were not for them, I would not have the one I am living in now. We worked together and dug it out. Who knows what these two can do with their friends but the future will tell," Now that he thought about it, he wished he and Ophos didn't end off on a sour note. Then again, the hyena almost killed Safuma and him. Though, he knows Safuma no longer wants him near her or the family, Ezekiel was not one to push aside forgiveness... it still has to be earned though.
"Great, so I will have some help wrangling them all for their naps," Ezekiel smiled as he rubbed his daughter's head softly. "Most royals linger about the royal den, but since there has been a surge of new members, many have decided to take residence in the savanna where there is room to stretch. Safuma is Uncle Mufasa's and Aunty Sarabi's granddaughter, if we lived up there, there won't be much room for anyone."
Hopefully... she doesn't pick up on the relation between the mates and further more, don't question it too far.

Koho listened intently as Ezekial spoke about various family lines. She tried to keep track of the names and store their context, but the family tree seemed to have gotten very tangled and large while she was gone. Which made sense, since she had left behind six children, who all had been healthy and able to bear cubs, and Mufasa and Sarabi had had plenty of cubs themselves. Nevertheless, Koho was still trying to grasp the idea of all her family.
She smiled as the cubs started nodding off. She purred soothingly to them, wising them pleasant dreams, and hoping that they slept for a while longer, giving her a chance to discuss family matters further with Ezekial. The golden lioness lowered her head, resting it on her front paws as she continued to listen. Nodding once in a while and adding her comment, "Friends are wonderful to have. Family is handy once in a while too." Koho winked at Zek, chuckling softly.
Koho nodded, considering her options, "Well, I don't much enjoy crowds of adults, especially royals, they're so stuffy." Koho nuzzled Zek's paw, which was the closest to Koho. "I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to sleep when it rains...." But until then, sleeping out wasn't so dangerous in the pridelands, there was nothing that would dare take on a prideland lion royal. At the mention of Safuma being her brother's granddaughter, Koho's eyes quirked, that didn't make sense, but she would puzzle it out later, nothing to worry over now. Then suddenly Koho's maw widened in a yawn, "Oh! I'm so sorry, looks like this old lioness is tired after all this excitement." Koho smiled sleepily at Ezekial, "Or perhaps the cubs are just rubbing off on me..."

"Friends are indeed wonderful to have, but family is what you come home to every night. If it were not for that, I would be out wandering where I could start one and who the female was who I would be coming home to," he replied, picking up Eiji'dai and placing him beside his sister. Carefully, he curled himself around them protectively as a father should, giving each a tender lick. "I am just lucky I have a loving family and wonderful friends. When you have a best friend, you are lucky, when you have more... you are blessed."
Ezekiel smiled at his elder and nuzzled her softly, motioning beside him. "No worries, Lady Koho, please, rest beside him. It will be some time before I'll have to head back to the den and tend to the rest of the cubs. I cannot have these two tagging along while I hunt. Maybe later I will help you find a den for you if you rather not spend nights with mine. Though, with so many bodies, you'll stay warm," The father smiled as he placed his head upon his large paws, closing his eyes casually.
"Spend all the time you need here before you decide to do anything else. Either way, my family-your family, will support your decisions."

Koho nodded absently, her eyelids growing tired once again. She smiled warmly as Ezekial gathered his son and daughter together, again agreeing with the lion's views on friendship and family. His offer of rest was welcome, and Koho didn't even bother to stand back up to move. She simply scooted her body to the spot the lion had indicated and lowered her head back down to her paws. Sleepily she thought about the idea of sleeping alone in her own den, and didn't much like it. Shaking her head slightly, Koho smiled at the warm comment, "I would like to stay with my family for now, I've spent many nights alone and don't wish to repeat them...."
As Koho's half-open eyes watched Ezekial lower his own head, the large lioness smiled absently before closing her eyes fully. "I'm just glad to be home, and will stay home as long as I can...." And shortly after that, the lioness was napping in the warm sun, dreams of hunts and cubs racing behind her eyelids....
