Flamingo Fatality Fairy My Bearded Dragon, Mr. Pricklesworth, sleeps in a position we like to call: "The Flying Zucchini". He's sprawled out on top of his log with his back legs dangling out from behind him and his front legs tucked under his body. And one time, he slept upside-down, hanging from the mesh lid we keep on his cage. xD Haha, I love dragons xD Beardies seem to have a similar personality to water dragons. So amusing.

lol, cute. i found my gargoyle gecko sleeping like that yesterday. i adore how lizards choose the weirdest positions to sleep in. my leo used to sleep almost like that when he was a baby, he would rest his head on things so i made a bed and pillow for him. he never leaves the bed. i dont think ive ever seen my beardy sleep, she is always awake and watching us

lewydusa I was considering buying one Or a bearded dragon What are they like as pets? Fun? Expensive? x I dunno about beardies, but. Water dragons (babies, at least) are real energetic, for the most part xD They need really big terrariums, constant misting to keep the humidity up, you need to change their water constantly.. eat quite a few crickets and worms each day xD; They're really quick, so you have to be careful how you handle them so they don't slip away and rocket off to somewhere they shouldn't be. Um.. I honestly can't give the best advice on which to choose, but I'm PRETTY sure beardies are better to start with, just because desert reptiles don't require high humidity, which is harder to achieve than you'd think xD; My water dragon Jazz has been real expensive so far, since he had an infection in his tail a month or two back and he needed to go to the vet.. His tank alone was $200, not counting everything that we needed to furnish it. Water dragons are tropical tree-dwellers and need lots to climb on. Um, I believe most bearded dragons you'll find are captive bred, while water dragons are usually wild caught. Captive bred herps are less likely to be carrying parasites or diseases, which could save you a lot of money in the vet department. You'll have to ask a bearded dragon owner on their costs xD I haven't looked too much into what kind of environment they need. (I know I kinda talk down water dragons but I do love my little guy <3 He's just an expensive little bugger and needs a lot of maintenance xD)

Expensive? x beardies are a better starter reptile. they are easyer to handle than water dragons from what i hear, i used to have 2 beardies. they eat alot when they are babies and they need a large tank when they are adults, then again, so do water dragons. all herps can get expensive, unless you make everything yourself and breed your own bugs, but they are all worth it. beardies like to come out of their tanks and even enjoy going outside or on short walks. i dont own a water dragon, but i have heard they are a bit harger and need more room than a beardy.

Yeah, water dragons need a bigger terrarium since they need a lot to climb on to keep them all happy and exercised xD The males can also grow up to three feet, whereas I think beardies aren't as long? though they're also not mostly tail. I've heard beardies are more docile, and from the sound of it, easier to handle than water dragons. I personally haven't tried to take Jazz outside (because I'm afraid I'll lose him), but I've heard water dragons are very skittish and don't do well on walks. Whenever I let him bask in my window, he gets pretty scared if birds are around, so.
