"Ah, what a thing that would be." She smirked, "Do you have any idea how few males are out there that are like that? You've no clue how many I've met that have loved and left as though it were nothing. Would I be happier if they had stayed by me? Perhaps. But I'm happy now, and that's what matters." She shook her head, "Don't get too caught up in finding someone who is good for them. It's ultimately their decision, you know."
"I know that." Hivu clicked her tongue teasingly at him, "Unless you want to get technical, of course." Perhaps not the wisest thing to say, but this was an argument, after all. Why shouldn't she pull rank on him?
"But I won't get into that." She shrugged, "We'll stay on equal terms. Fair?"

"Fair enough." He replied with a smirk, but within that sneer there was an odd sort of affection for Hivu. He was sure if he wanted a rank Toh Ni'd give it to him to be honest but Hivu suited her job and he'd never defer to her because of rank alone. Only if she won an argument fair and square and even then with an eyeroll.
He'd take her some of advice to heart a bit, though he'd still worry and would always want only the best for their daughters. He was their father after all, it was sort of required. And as for him moving and ending the conversation now...
"Looks like I'll be staying here for a while then, eh?" It wasn't really a question.
The End.
