Juu couldn't help but look a little awed. Were all the Zengea so pretty? Though-looking, but pretty. He stayed a little in Mwindaji's shadow, unsure of his place now. And was this 'Dohani' who Mwindaji wanted him to meet?

"When we last parted ways he was discussing something with Mfalme Shujaa. Long-winded males often wind up talking in one place for some time. Perhaps he is still there? I can lead the two of you back to him." She nodded slowly before turning to head back on her way, obviously expecting the two to follow suit after her.
Her nose wrinkled slightly as she leaned down close to the cub in hopes that her words wouldn't be overhead by the elder female in front of them. "Don't worry about her, Juu. She likes cubs... Even if she acts grumpy around them. She acts grumpy around everyone/"
"I heard that." She snorted, glaring back over her shoulder. "Hurry up. Take any longer and we might have to hunt for the Hukumia elsewhere."

He was in fact still close to where he'd been speaking with Shujaa. The Mfalme had wandered off to continue his watch and he had gone on his own way. He was currently surveying the land that he could see that stretched across the hunting grounds. There was a herd moving though and they should take advantage of it.
He would have to speak to Nya and see if she and the others could bring down a hearty meal for them. They could use the uplifted spirits that came with a nice full belly. It seemed like the herds were moving though a bit early this year but that hopefully wouldn't be a problem. There were always herds that stayed in the area or there was something else they could bring down.

Juu couldn't help but let out a cubbish giggle. "My Mama got grumpy sometimes! But usually she slept and taught me a little 'bout huntin'." He smiled. "I got good at pouncing mice and bugs." He made sure to keep up with the lionesses, though he had to hop a couple times to keep stride.

"Well, Zengea Umbra'Nyatia is probably grumpy when she's sleeping too." She nodded with a slight, teasing smirk, slowing her pace just enough that the cub wouldn't have to struggle to keep up while leaving her still with a clear sight of the other lioness ahead of them.
She ignored the chatter of youth behind her, knowing well enough that Mwindaji should know better than to act as she was in front of such a young, impressionable cub. Shaking her head she found herself glad to see Dohani just above. "It doesn't seem as if you have moved much since I last saw you, old friend... Mwindaji's coming. She's found a cub..."

When he heard a familier voice behind him he turned his head to look over a shoulder. "I hadn't reason to move as of yet." He could see rather far from his perch and the Mfalme couldn't be all that far from him so he was in no hurry to patrol in one direction or the other. The two kings seemed to be taking a lot of joy in patrolling the borders once again
"A cub?" He raised a brow. "One of the youngsters or from the outside?" If it were one of theirs ... well it would speak well for their fortunes. That would mean not all the little ones were lost.

Juu blinked. "Really? Is that possible?" He frowned in thought. How was one supposed to be grumpy when sleeping? A bad dream? Or maybe...His eyes widened. "Does her face get stuck like that?!" The horror! He didn't want his face to get stuck on grumpy! He liked laughing and smiling!

"Maybe." She laughed, shaking her head slowly only to become a bit serious as she glanced up at the two elder lions. Overhearing Dohani's words she interjected before Nyatia could answer. "One of the youngsters. His mother was a member of our pride."
She paused for a moment before leaning down to give the cub a gentle nudge forward, glancing up after doing so. "Hukumia Dohani'kifuniko, this is Tamaa-kaa'juu."
Once more she bit her tongue, knowing that she could deal with the other female on her own time instead of interrupting things that were already in motion. She stepped back so that Dohani could see the cub, waiting for his words.

He picked himself up off the ground and turned around so he could look at the cub. The young male seemed to be old enough that he might have seen him before, perhaps only days before the attack.
"So you're alone now little one?" He ignored the fact that he was probably looming over the cub as he looked him over. He seemed to still be in good health even if he'd been alone since his parents death.

Juu stumbled forward a bit at the nudge, but recovered and sat, smiling. Oh the dark lion was big, but Juu was just happy to around others...around the pride his mother spoke of so highly.
"Yes, sir." So this was who Mwindaji wanted him to meet. Juu hoped he'd be a big lion one day.

She stood back beside Nyatia and watched, never having really paid much attention to the process of bringing cubs before a Judge before. She'd never had any of her own and this was the first that she had brought home... There didn't appear to be anything wrong with the little warrior to her. She hoped that there wasn't anything that Dohani saw that she hadn't.

He smirked slightly. "Your parents must have left you early." No member of the pride would count themselves alone so long as others lived. "You are far from alone Tamaa-kaa'juu. You have the pride with you."
Reaching out he stuck his paw under the cub's front legs and lifted hims lightly. He was a bit under weight but nothing a few good meals wouldn't cure. Otherwise he seemed to be in good health. He looked over at Mwin and Nya after a moment. "He will need someone to watch him until he is old enough for his training to begin."

He had the pride with him? Juu's smile brightened, even as he was lifted a bit. He could stay! He couldn't help but feel overjoyed and happy. He was going to be part of his mother's pride! It was all he could do to not shout happily and run about...that would make him look like a doofus.
But he did bounce a little. This day was getting better and better!

"None of the Zengea are currently with cub and most are too young to know how to properly care for one." She tilted her head slightly, trying not to let her eyes linger on Dohani and the young one for too long. She refused to admit that the sight had any effect on her all, willing to dismiss it all.
"In which case, I suppose that only leaves one thing for you to do with him, doesn't it?" Her brow lofted slightly as she glanced at Nyatia. "If none of us know what we're doing with cubs because we're 'too young' that leaves only you, Nya."

"She does have a point." Nya was the only one of them that had previously had cubs. He doubted the memory was pleasant for her but it was the truth. "Until others return, or one of the Zengea find themselves with a litter of their own you are the only one who knows how to raise them properly."
At least until the cubs was a bit older and could be taken way. He was sure that currently he would be the one stuck training the young one when the time came.
