The dark-type jumped from his current platform to the next, the heat on the first making his paws very uncomfortable, and as such he didn't notice the fire blast until it was too late, and it hit him straight on. He yelped and a dark aura surrounded him quickly, quelling any flames that might have clung to his fur, and he leaped onto the next platform.
"Nice hit, Pip!" Kazuki called, ignoring the threatening growl he received from his pokemon. "Ryou, use confuse ray one more time! Hopefully it works this time!"
The blind pokemon growled, ears pinned to his skull. If it hadn't worked the first two times, what made him think that it would work this time? Still, he flashed another blinding light at the cubone, hoping it would confuse her.

"Jaidev! Are you ok?" The purple haired trainer worriedly asked as she watched her cubone spin dizzily around on her pillar, almost toppling again into the nets below. "Oh please Jaidev! Don't hurt yourself!" She pleaded as she thought of what to do now.
"Use Bonemerang!" she called out hoping it would be a safe move. Jaidev tottered on the edge of the pillar as she threw her bone weakly at the umbreon.

"Good job Ryou! Look out for the bone!" He shouted, proud that the dark-type had finally managed to confuse Jaidev. Hopefully they would manage to pull through with another win.
"Bre!" He called, easily avoiding the attack and wondering if the bone would fly back around and hit Jaidev instead.
"Natural gift!"
Ryou's rings glowed dark blue as a beam of ice shot from literally no where, headed straight for the confused cubone.
Super effective, +50hp if it hits

The bone hit Jaidev instead of Ryou much to Pippeh's embarrasment. "It's ok Jaidev! Try Fire Blast again!" she called out with a worried voice. What if her cubone got burnt to a crisp?!
Jaidev wobbled once more as she grabbed her bone clumsy like. She gave a pathetic growl and released the fire.

The dark-type snerked as the fire blast missed him by a mile, and he whipped his tail back and forth in anticipation. He knew what his trainer would say, so the scarred pokemon didn't wait for the command. Yet another beam of ice formed out of no where due to the natural gift attack, and aimed straight for the still confused cubone. Oh, how the blind umbreon loved confuse ray. ...when he used it, and it worked. Not any other time, of course.
Super effective, +50hp if it hits

Jaidev was knocked backwards and once more fell from the pillar. Her landing in the net and then landing on the pillar thereafter weren't the prettiest sights to see. But somehow the cubone managed to hang on. "Oh Jaidev. Don't kill yourself please?" she pleaded as she thought about what to do. "Try Bonemerang again!" she called out hoping it wouldn't harm the cubone this time.
The cubone spun around trying to locate the umbreon but gave up and just randomly threw the bone hoping it hit the other pokemon.

Apparently, random throwing was the best strategy for the cubone. Ryou wasn't expecting such a thing, and the bone hit him straight on. With a yelp the dark-type stumbled, the bone colliding painfully with his side, and the attack seemed to drain him of the rest of his energy.
With a tired growl, the trembling umbreon collapsed onto the pillar, defeated, and Kazuki swiftly whipped out the dark-type's pokeball and recalled him in a flash of red light. "Good battle, Pip! I hope you know Ryou will want a rematch, and he won't go easy on you next time!" Doubtless, the dark-type would be absolutely fuming later about losing to a cubone. Poor thing.

With a shake of her head the cubone finally got her senses returned to her as she looked around. Giving a growl of success she hopped over the pillars back to Pippeh. "Oh Jaidev! I'm glad you're alright!" she gave the cubone a big hug before getting whacked in the side with the bone club. "Ow. Ok. No hugs. Sheesh." Looking over at Kazuki she smiled. "Thanks! Jaidev will take the challenge with no problem I'm sure!" Turning her attention back down to Jaidev she couldn't help but give a bigger smile. "You did well."

He replaced the pokeball in his bag and offered Pip another wave. "That's good! I can't wait!" Well, he could, but Ryou wouldn't be able to. Poor guy. Oh well, what's done was done, and they couldn't change that. He offered Pip another wave before hurrying out of the stadium and towards the nearest pokemon center, thinking of ways to avoid the dark-type's impending wrath over losing to a little cubone.
