Frey took a solid hit from the shiny cubone's bone before darting off high into the air. The graveyard spread out ominously below for the bird-pokemon the see.

"Quick Attack!"

The pidgey followed his trainer's order and dropped into a stoop, falling out of the air using gravity to propel him while using his wings to steer in range of the cubone.

Grinch was pleased that his attack had made contact but was soon followed by an angry Quick Attack from Frey.

"Cuuuuuu-bone! Cubone! Cuuuu!" Grinch tried to swing his club at Frey to fend him off but the pidgey still managed to get his hits.

Kayla knew that it was time to end this or it won't look good for Grinch. "Come on, Grinch! Let's end this right now! Use Rock Slide and give it all you got!"

Grinch was finally able to get away from the little bird's attack and scraped his bone club along the ground and threw it back at Frey, hoping that a few of the rocks would hit its mark and end this.

With a stroke of luck, the tired pidgey managed to dogde the rocks produced by the cubone's Rock Slide.

"Good job Frey! Steel Wing!" Sienna called to her pokemon

Frey's wings glowed silver and he flew with all the strength he had left in him towards Grinch in a Steel Wing attack.

"Gahhhh!" Kayla and Grinch both growled in annoyance at all the missed shots of that rock slide but they didn't have time to ponder on how that could have happen when the pidgey aimed straight at Grinch and launched a mighty steel wing attack.

"WATCH OUT!" Kayla shouted but no good. Grinch took most of the hit as he tried to block it with his bone but it backfired into him, sending the cubone rolling.

It was hard to see the little cubone struggle to get up as he winced and looked up with only one eye open; panting.

Looks like this will be it for sure. Kayla thought. If they manage to make this hit, it will be their victory but if not...

Kayla shook her head and looked up more determined than before. "Grinch! Come on! Let's use Rock Slide one more time!"

Grinch winced again as he got slowly to his feet and raised his bone club and swung the bone along the ground again and aimed it at Frey. Both Kayla and Grinch prayed and hope that this time it hit.

Kayla and Grinch's prayer was answered, and their final Rock Slide hit it's mark. The impact from the rocks against his feathery body sent Frey tumbling down among the gravestones where he fainted, exausted from the battle.

"So close yet so far again, huh Frey?" Sienna spoke aloud as she held up Frey's pokeball for him to return. The pidgey was engulfed in a red beam as he was returned to the red and white ball in Sienna's hand.

Sienna walked over to Kayla and stuck out her hand for a handshake. "Thank you both for the battle." She said with a small smile.
