He`Brew Messiah Bold starts off as a hoppy beer, which I don't tend to care for, but had a malty finish, which I like. I'm more into malty than hoppy beers.

The worst thing I ever had was Magic Hat #9, there should be a warning label at bars about that one. CAUTION : May look like a golden lager, but is in fact a fruit beer. Contains apricots and citrus flavors that over power everything else.

Magic Hat #9 is in fact the ONLY beer I handed back to the bartender and said "Keep the money, I don't want to cause a fuss but I just cannot drink this."

I've just made my first legal purchase of alcohol (my first ever purchase of alcohol). I chose the, unfortunately non-kosher (this makes me exceptionally sad), Mike's Hard Lemonade variety pack. I'm enjoying a hard cranberry lemonade right now. <3

There's a fine line between what constitute kosher booze and what doesn't.

Even I don't understand or know all the rules.

Except with wine, those I get.

I'm assuming that some of it has to do with the tools used (just like with normal food).

All I know is that this is one goooood drink, and I'm a super-light-weight. wink

Hmm... what's wrong with the smell? and what have you smelled?

I'm just REALLY hyper-sensitive (to most things), and so beer (standard beers that the average American middle-aged, middle-class, guy might buy) smells almost purely of alcohol to me.

eek

Alcohol doesn't have a smell...

Maybe it's just beer you don't like?

It does have a smell though! I can smell it on wine, beer, and other types of drinks.

Happy belated birthday, Dis Domnu! Newbie here, though. I think I missed your birthday before I joined. xp

And uhh... rubbing alcohol has a smell. Does that count? I wonder if I can find that He'Brew beer at The Beer Store here in Canada. It sounds intriguing.

I've always prefered the expensive stuff. It's not Entirely legal for me to drink, but my parents were adamant I would have an education in alcohol from an early age. So I grew up on wine, I sample beer occasionally, I enjoy a vodka and orange as a present every year, and my favourite all time drink is a strong cognac, brewed en France, after a lovely but heavy meal. The intense warm feeling is one of the finest things I've ever experienced in my entire life.

It really does- it reeks, too.
