And it was gone with just a look. The giggle and laughter stopped. She stared a moment at the water then looked in the direction of the vast deep. A little sigh escaped her as her mind drifted to another place and on someone else. Trying hard to just be quiet and not upset Savith anymore.

**It would take quite a lot of heat to heat this pool hot enough to cook you both. Maybe at midday, but even then it would be a slow process. But I could make it reasonably warm quick enough.** He perked up at the prospect of doing something useful. *I can control heat fine under normal conditions, but when there is a large concentration of it... it has a mind of it's own.** Blaze began to pull the heat out of the air and surrounding rocks and into the water, and small feathers of frost began to form in the wet spots on the rocks as they cooled. As the temperature rose, so did Blaze's spirits.

"mmmmmmmmmmmm That's wonderful Blaze." Dancer said with a light smile turning to him as he spoke. "I'll bathe with you from now on." She chuckled bit and just glanced from time to time at Savith. Turning blue eyes back to Blaze she said, "You might have a use after all." Teasing him in a playful way.

" 'S what I do." Blaze's sun-baked face reddened a little, and the bits of frost that had gathered on the rocks around him abruptly melted. Once the pool was heated enough that thin tendrils of steam began to curl up off the surface, Blaze stopped pulling heat out of the air, and the air currents evened out its temperature. A bit uncomfortable with the present conversation, he tried to change the subject. "Hey, ol' bird, what'd ya do ta that foot o' yours? Lan' a lil' too hard, eh?"

Dewpaw wandered through the woods, having eaten her fill of food. She didn't want to hang around in the main hut because she simply didn't want to be asked any questions about her trip. Instead, she decided she wanted to swim, memories brought up from her talk with Savith earlier on teh forest trail. She walked toward the waterfall, easily finding it, but stopped short at hearing voices. She peaked through the treeline to see Blaze, Dancer, and Savith, and a grin automaticall yspread on her face. She ran full speed for the pool, stripped down not to skin but to a simply cloth covering over her chest and shorts. She jumped, howling as she did, and did a cannonball right into the pool, barely missing Balze.

Blaze heard the howling, and for a split second he though Starsong had decided to join them. Then the water in front of him exploded. The wave of hot water washed completely over his face, and his mind went blank with fear, believing he'd lost control again. He scrambled out of the pool before Dew even came back up, scratching himself to pieces on the rough rocks. "BAKED BLOOD! Gerrout! It's gonna blow!!!"

Water splashed everywhere and Dancer was trying hard not to laugh to much. Watching Blaze dart from the water like a new kitten was funny. Till she saw he was scraped and scratched. *Are you ok hot head?* Her send to him alone. Not wanting to make him uncomfortable by asking. Still it was hard to hold back the laughter. That is untill her eyes moved to Savith. She only glanced at him a bit to find a reaction then looked away again as she waited for Dew to surface again.

Savith had been passively listening to the conversation between Dancer and Blaze, curiously watching Blaze as he worked on heating the pool. The warmth returned the faint almost grin to his face as he just leaned back and didn't to much. It was Blaze's question that turned his head again, and he took a breath to answer... right as Dewpaw cannon-balled into the pool. He was thankful that he'd pulled his leg up onto the opposing knee as Blaze stepped into the pool, for if he'd had his legs stretched out, the cubling might have made connection. His open mouth, drawing breath to speak, however, was not so fortunate. Water invaded, and he sputtered, choking on the hot water. He reached for the edge of the pool, trying to turn toward it so he to cough up the water and get some good air.

Dewpaw surfaced, squirting water out of her mouth, "Hiya!" she shouted, eyes closed to the warm water. She hadn't expected it to be so hot. She wiped her eyes with her fists, before opening them, her smile wavering briefly. "Are you okay Blaze? Did you see a human?" she spun aroudn, eyes quickly scanning the brush. She saw nothing but Savith coughing and Dancer trying not to laugh. "What were you guys doing?" she asked dancer, "They look like they're gonna die?"

Keeping half an eye on Savith and Blaze she answered Dew's question with a slight chuckle as she pushed some hair from her face. "Oh I think you just scared one hundred years off Blaze's life and half drown Savith is all." She smiled at her with a wink. "Nothing they won't get over."

Savith finished sputtering and wiped his face. He turned back toward Dewpaw and managed an even sounding, "Evening, Dewpaw."

"Did I really almost drown you? i didn't mean to. I just jumped in. I mean, yeah, i wanted to surprise you, but not drown you. or scare you that bad." she glanced between savith adn blaze. "I'm really sorry. It was an accident." She was talking fast, barely finsihing a sentence, lke she always does when she's worried or sorry.

Dancer chuckled and giggled as quietly as she could. It all was a welcome break in the tension that was filling the air. "Oh Dew Paw you are a joy to have home again."

"I'm fine," replied the glider to the rapid fire speech. How familiar it seemed. It was all at once pleasant, annoying, and saddening. Savith pressed a few of the wet locks from the sides of his face and back behind his ears.
