Amitola rolled his eyes. "Well I don't think it's nice to comment on others' parenting skills. Besides, I don't live with my parents. They're too busy taking care of my more important siblings. So you're right by saying that they don't tell me what's nice and not." He moved around a bit, as his legs were getting a little stiff.

"I have children of my own so I have my own parenting skills. Even if you don't live with your parents they should still be trying to care for you as well. Or atleast some has to be caring for you." he said and shifted his own weight as his liegs were getting stiff as well.

"Pinky? A dad? Ahaha!" The foal hopped about, laughing wildly. After a few moments, he calmed down and shook his head. "Nope. I go any place I want, do anything I do, fend for myself, y'know?"

Rhapsody shook his head. Foals fending for themselves? What was the world coming to now a days. "Yes, I am a father of two, now fully grown, boys. And I find it hard to believe you fend all for yourself and your parents don't mind it."

Amitola fluttered his wings in a gesture of shrugging. "Don't think they know. I'm s'posed to be with Miss Midori, but she's been so busy with Phae lately she doesn't even seem to notice when I'm gone. So I just leave." He nodded, and flicked his tail at the other male.

The older stallion raised a brow and then smiled. "Oh! So you do have someone to look after you, it's just that you tend to run away from her. That's not very nice. She probably is worried sick about you out here all alone! I don't think that she just doesn't notice you." he said to the foal and watched as he fluttered his tiny wings and flicked his tail.

Amitola shook his head. "Oh, no she isn't. When I get home, she doesn't really care. She doesn't ask me where I've been, when I left, or anything like that. She just says 'hi' and goes off to tend to other things."

The pink stallion cocked and eyebrow as he listened to what the foal told him. It didn't seem right to him that a mare would pay more attention to one foal over another. "That isn't very caring at all, I don't think. Why would she be more interested in this Phae and not you?" he asked though he didn't think he would get much of an answer from a young foal.

"Well, Phae's her actual daughter. I'm just a foal that showed up one day. Besides, Phae isn't all that smart. She gets into a lot more trouble that she can't get out of than I do." Nodding, the foal kicked a rock, growing rather bored of the conversation. "What about you, Pinky?"

Rhapsody nodded understanding now why the mare would care more for the filly than this colt. The other was her own flesh and blood and this one was just some other burden to her. "That makes more sense now." he said thoughtfully and then he caught the colts question. "What do you mean what about me?" he asked curiously.

Amitola fluttered his wings in a shrugging type gesture. "I guess what I mean is, did your parents actually stick around to watch you grow up, or did they drop you off with a random grown-up?" The question was very straight-foreward, seeming almost rude, though that wasn't his intention.

Rhapsody stood there a bit shocked at the colts question. It had been quite sometime since he had thought about his childhood and the memories weren't all that great. How could he try to explain this to a young foal? "Well, no, my parents didn't leave me with another adult but both of them didn't stick around either." he began a bit hesitantly. "My mother actually left me with my father and took my sister with her. I never actually met either of them. So it was just me and my father." he said a bit straight forward. He wasn't sure if the colt could understand this or not but he would find out sure enough.

Amitola nodded. "That happened to Mags. 'Cept her mother took off with her brother, then just randomly waltzed back into her and her father's lives thinking she'd be warmly welcomed." Nodding again, he asked, "What if your mother and sister just randomly showed up? What would you do?"

Again he was shocked by the colt's questions. Such grown up questions for one so small. Though he had every reason to wonder since it he lived with someone who had gone through the experience. Maybe he wanted to know if both had the same experience but truth be told, Rhapsody didn't know what he would do if his sister and mother suddenly showed up. "Well, I am not sure what I would do exactly. I do know I would be very upset, more so with my mother than my sister." he started. Of course he would be angry with his mother. She had left him and his father alone with no word of whether she was alright or anything. Though he wouldn't really know if it was his mother or not if she showed up since he had never seen her before in his life. "I wouldn't be so upset with my sister though. She probably had no choice in the matter. But I don't know what either of them look like so I wouldn't know if it was them or not if they showed up."
