Amythest couldn't help but feel a tad of sadness seeing the one fish swimming off already. He didn't seem ready to meet them or stay. "Do you think he will be ok? Will he come back to see us? Why is he leaving us?"
Then, the other two who had been meeting each other swam up and in turn checked out both Amythest and Malila. They also loved on the other baby who was in their daddy's hair. Amythest was so happy to see them all together. She swam up close, so it would be as though they were all hugging together.
Then, Guess swam outside the flower. She saw something that had been moving on the wall. Amythest went over to see what it is. "Oh.. that's a snail sweetie." She could see the look in Guess's eyes that wished it could come inside. "Well, snails are slow. Who knows if it's coming in or not..."

Malila giggled softly and detangled his daughter from his hair. "Come along now...." He held her up to eye level and grinned. "I think Kalara will be your name. A pretty name for a very pretty little girl." Kalara seemed to grin and attempt another backflip, once again looking very shocked at her upside down father and mother. Malila couldn't hide his smile as the deep purplr son came over and nudged Kalara upright again before the two started a tiny game of tag. His eyes wandered to the son that was already far in teh distance. "I'm sure he will come back one day. He'll be fine. Don't worry dear." He glanced don to give her a reassuring kiss but noticed she was talking to their other daughter about a snail and decided to wait his turn.

Amythest nodded. She lowered her voice as though talking to herself, but inwardly wishing the little one heard her. "Well then, take care my son. I hope you will come back to see us eventually. You will always have a home with us." She smiled and tried to make it so her love for him would follow him always.
Returning to herself and her family at present. It made her so happy to see all of them so happy. "You know Malila... I just had an idea. Perhaps we should have more babies? I know this flower is small, but guess what. I think that coral rock up towards the top of the reef opened up. We'd be a little closer to the surface. It'd give us more room. These three could have it where girls in one room.. Quartz in another.. A room for us... and then more room if we have more babies. And, if I get to grow like you did. We'll definitely need more room.
Meanwhile, Guess was still rather afixiated on the snail. She started to peek her head out of the window. She looked at it. The snail had started to lose its grip on the flowery texture of their homes walls. It nearly fell straight down, but it fell on Guess's face. She hurriedly rushed inside. "Mom.. Dad... LOOK!!! It fell on my nose! Does that mean I get to keep it?"

Malila looked at the snail hanging from his daughters face and couldn't help but wonder how so many pets kept finding their way into their home. "If anymore of us find little friends we're going to need a bigger house." He grinned and watched the hermit crab running along his arm. "I think that's a wonderful idea Amy! Whatever would make you happy." He kissed her cheek and softly wispered "I like the idea of more these...."with an impish quality to his voice and a very mischevious smile.
Kalara was still having fun with her fathers hair...it was just so fluffy! After a final dip through it she settled down closer to the floor of the home in order to hear what they were talking about. She really liked the idea of a bigger house! Something where should could make her own room cute and pink and full of happiness! Her face even squinched into a very happy grin, just at the thought of it.

Amythest made a small announcement to everyone then. "Ok guys.. we're gonna go look at some new homes.. vacant ones. You all get to go. I don't think we've taken you anywhere. Now, be sure each of you are with either me or your father. NO WANDERING OFF..." She gave a look towards Guess. Something about Guess made Amythest nervous for her. She seemed to have an air of a clownfish who might be a little too carefree. Then, she went to wake up the seahorse which had been recovering in the egg nest.. which wasn't more than the pile of empty shells which were being absorbed by the sea flower in which they lived. "Hey you. Are you feeling much better? Well, we are heading up towards the top of the reef. We need to find a bigger living space. We're gonna look at rocks. Flowers are pretty... but we need something spacious. Would you like to come? you can be the nanny-man?" She chuckled. She felt already this seahorse was like a part of their family.
He silently rose up and followed after her. She almost wondered if all seahorses were so subdued.
As she rejoined the family who seemed to all be getting jumpy and ready for their expedition, she swam up to Mallie. She loved calling him Mallie. She looked at his deliciously and whispered, "I couldn't agree more. Somehow we seem really good at this. Maybe this seahorse would kind of baby sit for a weekend and we could have a romantic getaway to foster more offsprings..."
Guess swam off to the side. She tried to listen in. She made a muted glare. Then she pouted up to them. "I don't need a babysitter. I'm big... I can take care of myself!"
Amythest looked at her. "That's quite enough.. let's be on our way to go look for a new home.

Malila grinned at Amy's reply. More young ones sounded perfect. Rounding up their kids with his arms he headed them towards the surface trying to make sure none of them wandered off while Amy looked for a new home. "Amy I heard that the eel up here moved out and lefta fairly large cave. That what you looking for?" Malila imagined that quite a few batches of offspring would fit there.
Kalara let herself be led from the home, playing with the Hermit crab that her father kept. The crab was currently on his arm and therefore, in play-mate reach.

"Hmm.. does it have holes in the wall? So, we can have light inside and be able to look out on the reef? If so.. I think that'll be just perfect!" While Amythest was swimming into the cave to see it, her body started to convulse a little, and a bright purple and periwinkle light spewed out. when the light passed away, Amythest had been changed. She had evolved into a form similar to Malila. When she looked at herself, she was so happy. A new body, a new home,more family. Could their life together get any better? She saw the rest following up close behind. She swam out to Malila. "MALILA! MALLIE!!! LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO ME! 4laugh "

A young adult Beta with pink, white and purple scales swam cautiously into the bright waters of the coral reef, looking back to where her owner's image seemed to float above the water. Silver Angel waved, encouraging her to go on. Today was the day to meet her family, she'd said. Iris went on, a few strokes at a time. She didn't know where to start. She was certain her family were all nice Betas, but she was still a little nervous. What would she do once she found them? Would they still accept her as part of the family? Silver Angel had also told her that she had an older sister who had already laid and hatched a batch of eggs. Iris felt her pink face go slightly pinker. What would it be like being an aunt to someone who was older than her?

Amythest saw the baby come in. Her mother's instinct kicked in, and she realized it was her daughter. She had grown so much. "Oh.. hello there... look how big you got. All of you are so big... and look at Kalara's children too. Who would have guessed our family would be sprawling like that?" She thought to herself about the one child.. Guess. She had grown up rather malcontent with their family life. She was always struggling and aiming to get out. Noone had seen her for months. They had no idea where she was.

Iris looked at the other Beta, feeling a little self-conscious until the other Beta began to speak. "M-mama?" she asked, a bit timidly. She didn't remember much of her family from when she was still in the egg, but Silver Angel had told her stories about her family since she had hatched, ance once again she began to remember her mother's warmth. Iris smiled at her mother and swam closer. "Hello, Mama!"

She smiled as she swam beside him. "How are you doing this fine evening...ir is it day." She said as she looked up at the surface. "You never really can tell." She said as she kept watching the surface.
