You were my reason to live. I would die when you smiled at me. I can still see you, Painting flowers on the wall. I remember you happy I remember it all. Kolter blinked, surprised when his eyes caught a glimpse of red. He let his eyes fall lower, now gazing at the face of a stranger that he didn't know existed two seconds ago. Silently he cursed himself for not noticing before. What if they'd been a threat? They still could be. . .
Kasey placed a gentle hand on her brother's arm, looking up into his face. She knew no matter how nervous he was about the strangers, he wouldn't really argue with her. Her eyes showed pleading.
"Kole, just go talk to them, pretty please?"Kasey pleaded softly, "Come on,"
Kasey grabbed gently at his arm now, instead of just resting her hand there, and began leading him toward the girl and what looked to Kasey like a strange, small bird.
Kolter did not fight his sister in this. He would not struggle against her. Instead he walked with her. That didn't mean he was any more sure of the situation then before, just dealing with it. . .
"Hello,"Kolter greeted wearily once they were close enough to Fox and Trill, the two they were approaching, or at least when Kolter thought they seemed nearly close enough to hold a civil conversation with one another.
Kasey sported a triumphant smile as she stopped before Fox and Trill, glad she had got Kolter to be nice. Or, it seemed like she had. That was good enough. Somehow I can't believe That anything should happen. I know where I belong And nothing's gonna happen.

Is it safe to say? (C'mon C'mon) Was it right to leave? (C'mon C'mon) ßrΣ†† Brett had a disgusted look on his face as he looked at his schedule. He liked all of his classes, except for one. But that was more than enough to make him angry. He was unhappy with English classes and thought them relatively unimportant. Everything else was fine, but to have to repeatedly start his day off with a class he hated would make him angry. He'd be sure to liven that class up on a regular basis though. Brett smirked, almost evilly, and made his way over to the dorms.
As he walked over to the dorms, he spit a couple times on the floor and ground. To him, it didn't matter that it was wrong to spit on the floors. Brett just didn't respect the institution enough to care whether he was inside or outside. Or whether something was appropriate. Brett had actually made it a regular habit to break the rules here often. Disrespect, disregard, and causing distress. That's what Brett had been all about. And if they though they would keep Brett in his dorm at 9:00 they were dead wrong.
When Brett got to the dorm building, he looked at the familiar setting of the common room. And for good measure he spit, on one of those too. He knew where his room was without having to look. Dorm 4, right down the first hallway. His dorm would be fourth on the left. He found it and stopped before he opened it. He was silently wondering whether or not that one girl would be in his room. With his hand on the doorknob and the key already unlocking the door, he hesitantly went in. To his, dismay, though again, he'd never admit it, she wasn't there. Brett smiled and looked about his room. It was okay. He didn't bother packing much, so he wasn't surprised to see his things up in his room. He had left his more loved possessions at home, like his drum kit and stereo. He did however bring some of his less favorite items. Brett opened his suitcase and pulled the few clothes he had. He had jeans and various tee shirts and hoodies, but not many. He'd probably have to do laundry semi-frequently. Good news was though, he would have an empty closet, where he could keep his most ambitious, troublesome ideas in. Smiling at the thought, Brett's joy was overrode with the sound of...something. Something musical. And not the cool kind of musical. Like, classical music. Brett frowned and walked out of his dorm, and looked at dorm 7. It's where the music had been coming from. Smiling, Brett was going to have his fun already. Going back into his room and grabbing a staff shaped weapon from his bag, he returned to outside the door of dorm number seven. He chanted something quietly, and tapped his staff on the ground.
A puff of smoke appeared, but that wasn't what Brett meant to bring. A rather large dead rat carcass was now resting outside the door. It would give the next person who saw something to think about the next time they played the violin. Smiling, Brett went back to his room and started putting his clothes into his closet.
(( Why thank you! I aim to please xD )) Will I ever learn? (C'mon C'mon) (C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon)

Hush Now My Darling; Be Still Love Don't Cry Sleep as You're Rocked By The Stream Sleep and remember My Last Lullaby So I'll be with you when you dream Fox took them in with an interested gaze. The older one didn't seem thrilled with having to talk to her, the younger one convincing him into coming to her. She pushed back her hair behind her ear, pausing a moment.
"Hello, to you as well." Fox said her lyrical voice floating around the office building like sweet spring water. She bowed her head, half-way, with a small smile. "I am Fox, it is a pleasure to meet you." The words came out soft, layered with the feeling of pleasant companionship. The scent of strawberries and a hot summer's day wafted around the girl, faintly aromatic, not overbearing.
Trill chirruped angrily as if wanting to be introduced. Fox chuckled softly, gesturing her head in the small phoenix's direction. "And that is my companion Trill." Trill preened her hair, decidedly happy with the quiet Fox for speaking so many words in the same stretch of an hour. Today Is Only Yesterday's Tomorrow "Definitely..." "Love will conquer all, " "The constellations that decide fate can be changed." Should completely vanish. All it is, is a cowardly lie.

● ωιѕн uρσи α quιєτ »» s m i l e ««❝ As the last few musical notes died away, Anna sighed. She was definetly not out of practice, but she couldn't seem to concentrate completely on her music..
Setting the violin tenderly back in its case and shutting it, she turned back to unpacking. A few miscellaneous books went on the shelf; notebooks and writing implements on her desk. All in all, she didn't have much, for those three boxes her stuff had come in weren't all that big.
Deciding to go out and explore the Academy's grounds, she also decided it would be best to change first. She was currently wearing clothes she had been wearing the entirety of the twenty-hour travelling she had endured to get here. So, going over to her dresser, she pulled out some items of clothing; a blue-green longsleeve shirt almost the exact shade of her eyes, and a pair of jeans. Throwing said clothes on, she shoved her feet in to her shoes. Twisting the door knob, she opened the door - it at least didn't creak, like one almost expected it to when looking at it - and stepped out, closing the door behind her. Only, as she stepped, her foot connected with.. something. Something icky, from the feel.
Looking down, she wrinkled her nose in disgust. "I know this school is about as sanitary as a decomposing sheep," she said dryly, kicking the disgusting, somewhat stinking, thing out of her way carefully, "But that's really pushing it." Shaking her head and brushing some stray strands of pale blonde hair out of her eyes, she continued down the hallway. That's almost as bad as the time Gracie brought Mother a dead bird. she thought, remembering her family's pet cat with a small feeling of nostalgia. ❞ »» a n n a «« мαιrι vαℓєяια ●

Is it safe to say? (C'mon C'mon) Was it right to leave? (C'mon C'mon) ßrΣ†† Brett couldn't help but laugh as he heard a voice say that. Naturally, he was smart enough to not check out the scene of the crime. But this time, something told him that he should this time. So without further waiting, he popped his head out of the door to see what was going on. He had tried to hide the bemused look on his face, but only managed to amplify it. Though his expression turned completely blank when he saw who he had managed to freak out with his prank. "Eh..." he said quietly and steadily. It was the good looking girl whom he had seen before. Brett, not one to be let his own true feelings show, he let out a chuckle and looked the girl in her eyes and said, "It appears as if the rat found his trash."
Oh, geez, that was mean...I don't really mean that...
Maintaining his smirk, he retreated back into his room and closed the door behind him cackling. He could feel his head and heart hurting a little though. He locked the door and proceeded to lay down on his bed, thinking about the bad things he had already done this year.

You oughta take your medication every Be a good dog, live life in a wonderful way Tell me why you want to be blind I don't want to be normal like you I know now everyday I get closer to the place inside Where I can be normal too. Kolter didn't seem to be willing to keep the conversation going at first. His eyes now fell on the bird, his mind examining the situation silently. So, the girl seemed nice enough, and the bird seemed to be somewhat intelligent. . .That was good to know. . . His thoughts were interrupted at that point. Curious, he turned his gaze on Kasey
Kasey had been the cause. Swiftly her elbow had drove into Kolter's rib. Being shorter had it's advantages. Fortunately for her, it didn't really hurt Kolter. She didn't think it would. Now that he was watching her, she smiled sweetly and spoke. Hopefully Kolter would follow her example. That's what she wanted. . .
"Hi! My name's Kasey,"Kasey stated. Her voice was sweet, as though she were purposely being non-threatening. Truthfully she was trying to dull the edge that she felt Kolter could leave on a conversation with his rude behaviors. Maybe if she was sweet, they would put up with Kolter. She liked being kind to people, though.
"Trill is very beautiful,"Kasey added, her voice revealing the admiration she felt. It certainly was not faked. Regardless, her eyes stayed on Fox rather then Trill.
Kolter listened silently to his sister, seeming to take every word in as some unspoken conversation between them rather then a simple introduction. Alright, introduce himself and offer a compliment? That was easy. Too bad he wasn't going to do it. Kasey must have meant for him to, but he just didn't want to. Yeah, the bird was cool, he thought it'd make a wonderful and powerful companion, but he still wasn't fond of this stranger. She hadn't done anything to him, he just didn't know her well enough to let down his guard any. Wait, was it his turn already? Kolter looked to Fox with a smile, trying to seem nice. Hopefully she wouldn't tell quite how forced this expression was.
"I'm Kolter,"Kolter offered. It was polite to let the girl extend her hand first when shaking hands, and since she didn't he figured he was off the hook. He didn't want to shake her hand, really.
Hopefully that was good enough for Kasey. She'd no doubt have a fit if he went and blew this chance to make friends. 'Just because he was a selfish jerk didn't mean she had to suffer', his mind recalled her saying, though she phrased it differently and had a rather unpleasant choice in words coming before the jerk title she dubbed him with. If he could help it, he wouldn't relive her anger.
Kasey smiled sweetly for her brother's benefit. He'd done okay. Before she decided for sure though, she wanted to know how Fox reacted. If she thought Kolter was rude in what he said, Kasey was sure to change her initial opinion on the matter. They cannot hurt you, Unless you let them. I'll say it again They cannot hurt you, Unless you let them.

● ωιѕн uρσи α quιєτ »» s m i l e ««❝ Sighing, she turned away from the door a guy, the same guy that had passed her in front of the main office, had poked his head out of. It was bad enough his words were harsh, but what seemed to make it worse was that it was him saying it. Why do I care who said the words? It doesn't change the fact that they were mean.. Continuing down the hallway, hiding her clenched fists behind her back, she shook her head. He was probably just an.. an.. a*****e. she thought, her somewhat bruised feelings raging inside her.
Soon arriving at what must have been the gardens; as there were tall hedges everywhere, arranged in an almost mazelike pattern, with rose bushes and other beautiful blooming flowers dotted here and there. Finding a nearby bench, she sat on it; pretending to be engrossed in admiring the flowers. But in reality, her mind was in a rather complex jumble. I should put a dead toad in his bed was one of the many thoughts that streamed across her mind. But she forced herself to think rationally, pushing her anger and sadness down into some deep, dark pit in her mind. This is a big school, and there's a lot of students. Naturally there's going to be some nasty people.. she convinced herself, though just barely.
To anyone else looking at her, she would seem to be at total calm, even relaxed. But growing up where she had, in her mother's utterly prim and composed house, she had quickly learned to disguise her feelings, to push them away. Inside, she was feeling a great urge to punch something, preferably him. But Anna was anything but a violent person, so she forced that feeling away too. ❞ »» a n n a «« мαιrι vαℓєяια ●

Is it safe to say? (C'mon C'mon) Was it right to leave? (C'mon C'mon) ßrΣ†† Brett reached into his bag and pulled out a tiny jar of wooden toothpicks. It was a little odd for him to carry such an amount of toothpicks around, but he liked to use them. He felt it made him feel a bit like a badass. And it was a better alternative to smoking. Though he was certain at some point he would probably end up picking that up as well. Brett pulled one of the mint toothpicks out and popped it in his mouth, just letting it dangle. He let out a sigh and retreated back to his bed. He lay there just awhile before he started to think about serious things. Brett knew that if he lay there long enough he would start thinking about stuff he didn't want to. Like how being mean made him angry, and in turn, made him meaner. Brett knew he would grow to be a bitter old person with no one around him if the trend continued, but he felt like there was nothing he could to prevent it.
Shaking his head and moving his bags and suitcases into his closet, he eventually went back out into the hallway, where he still saw the rat. Brett scoffed and took the little staff out of his pocket and tapped it twice. The rat immediately began to decompose at an incredible rate and soon all that was left there was a pile of dust. He pocketed the little staff again and walked back into his room, grabbing his dorm key and putting his schedule on his bed. Brett didn't know what to do now. He could go to the lake or fool around in the "forbidden" forest. Of course he could always check out the common room and relax there. Or ruin everyone's mood in the garden. Any Senior student knew that garden was where all the "lovers" met. Grinning at the thought of more disregard for everyone's feelings, he made his way quietly to the garden.
When he got there, he saw a small number of couples admiring the 'beauty' of the gardens. Brett scoffed and spit in a random direction. Love didn't exist to him. The thought made him weary, as he had never seen a decent example of such a thing. In fact, Brett was going to make sure it didn't happen in this garden. Not today. Removing his little staff from his pocket, he put it to the ground and outlined the shape of a human. He tapped the outlined human shape where the brain of the human would have been and muttered to himself some words. Stepping back, he looked on as a hand shot out of the ground and an undead creature pulled itself out from the ground. This particular zombie was harmless, but a zombie was a scary enough sight. Brett went up to his summoned creature and spoke in it's rotting ear, "Disrupt the peace,"
The zombie began lurching off through the garden in typical zombie fashion, and Brett smirked as he watched his handywork make it's way through the garden. Will I ever learn? (C'mon C'mon) (C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon)

Sleep lovely one I'll chase away your nightmares With a yellow crayon sword And a rainbow smile "It's nice to meet you Kasey, Kolter." Fox said with a nod. Trill, ever the exploitative little phoenix he was, flew off her shoulder and landed on Kasey perching there on the younger girl. "It seems he likes you, be careful, he's a very vain bird. Once you give him attention he'll not let you forget it."
The petite girl was not offended at all by Kolter's behavior. In fact it amused her to no extent, causing her to take the young man and his sister into account. Kasey seemed to be the sun to Kolter's moon, cheery where he was stoic and silent.
She understood stoic and silent. She understood the urge not to talk and how such things could be taken as rude. Heck, she even understood being guarded around someone who meant possibly no harm. She also caught his false smile though, but held her tongue.
She did not preach and only gave advice when it was asked of her. Trill preened Kasey's hair, giving a happy whistle that he had made a new friend or at least a new perching place. I see you roll your eyes You know, it makes me smile You are like the sun to me Bright as liquid fire Kolter glanced at Kasey when he realized that Fox didn't make a big deal of him, not yet at least. Hah! Take that. He'd evaded Kasey's wrath! Now he couldn't keep the smile from his face as he looked back to Fox. His spirits seemed raised for the time being. Regardless to the smile, he looked a bit bored still. Uninterested.
Kasey giggled when the bird came to her. She wasn't the least bit scared, it was so cute!
"Ohh, hello,"she giggled again, talking to the bird. That didn't mean she expected it to understand, just that she was acknowledging it. Perhaps not in the best way possible, yet in a way all the same. That seemed all that mattered, at least to her. Vain? Well, she didn't mind at all, though the idea of stealing the bird's attention was not something she took lightly. She knew well that it was Fox's bird and she wouldn't want to challenge that. If it got too out of hand, she'd try to fix it. Surely it wouldn't though, so for now her worries were non-existent, or at lest non-pressing.
Kolter appeared tense immediately, his eyes having followed the bird to his sister. He looked about ready to jump at the bird or to scream at it, one of the two. Then, like a secret password he was waiting for, his sister giggled and the tension drained away almost instantaneously. Kasey. . .He would not try to intervene with something that made her happy. Surely it wouldn't kill her, he'd get it if it hurt her. For a moment his eyes went back to Fox, now suddenly interested in her.
"Is that bird dangerous?"Kolter questioned. His voice was different then before. It was calm, not revealing the least bit of panic or the previous tension.
Kasey rolled her eyes at his question. She was still quite happy and entertained by Trill, but she decided she needed to talk to Fox and ignore the bird for just a second.
"Please, don't mind Kole. He's such a baby sometimes."Kasey stated before looking to her brother. For a few seconds she caught his eyes, long enough for her to start sticking her tongue out. It just barely showed between her lips when she realized that the bird might try to bite her if she did that. Shock filled her expression for a brief second as she pursed her lips together. In another second she was paying attention to the bird again, giggling softly as if nothing had happened.
Kolter obviously wasn't thrilled about the insult, but he smiled none the less. When his sister's attention went back to the bird, he looked back to Fox with that same, interested smile. With his sister he had snapped to a sort of reverence that was vacant now. He was doubting quickly that the bird would hurt Kasey, and yet he still felt his question was appropriate. So live for the moment And take this advice, live by every word Love is completely real So forget anything that you have heard Live for the moment now.

● ωιѕн uρσи α quιєτ »» s m i l e ««❝ Anna sighed, possibly for the fifteenth time that day. She had calmed down a bit, but she could still feel the rage and urge to release it lurking on the edge of her mind. Just let it go, Anna. People are just nasty sometimes she told herself again, standing up and turning around to leave.
However, instead of the sight of roses and petunias greeting her as she turned, a rotting, decrepit.. zombie met her sight. Gasping, caught off guard, she threw her hands out; the gesture she often made when creating the shield of 'light' that was one of her few powers. Although, instead of the shield being made around herself, it appeared around the zombie, stopping it in its tracks. Her eyes widening in surprise, she looked at her hands. What the..? It's never done that before she thought briefly before her mind wavered a little. She was rapidly weakening; the shield sapped a lot of her strength.
Her mind told her hand to relax and drop, thus dropping the shield, but her body had a totally different reaction. Almost acting on their own, her fists clenched, and she could feel the rage building just beyond the edges of her mind. The effect was that the shield started shrinking at a rapid pace, and naturally, it started to.. squeeze the zombie. As all things usually end up doing under immense pressure, it exploded. Bits and pieces of rotted flesh flew everywhere, though fortunately none landed on Anna herself. She barely had time to wonder and be shocked at this new.. violent addition to her list of powers, for the extreme loss of energy was taking its toll on her.
Dropping to her knees, she was breathing heavily, struggling not to keel over and pass out; especially if there were more zombies nearby. What was that? I've never been able to put a shield around other things before, I've tried.. and all that rage.. where did it come from? I know I wasn't that angry, even at that guy and his stupid, mean words. ❞ »» a n n a «« мαιrι vαℓєяια ●

Dance For Joy In the Harsh Beating Of Rain Because Surely The Sun will shine again "Trill? Be dangerous?" Fox rose an eyebrow at Kolter's interested smile, as well as his question. "He is a bird of peace; phoenixes only fight when their love ones are threatened. And I don't mind your brother," Fox said with a nod. "If he was being immature I'd tell him. And you can give Trill all the attention you want, it's a relief to have him be with others some of the times. He's very high maitence; it's hard for me to keep up with his daily attention quota."
Trill trilled happily. That was very true. He was capable of independent thought, an intelligent creature but he rarely liked to display such qualities. He liked things simplistic as possible, which meant attention and the ability to sing whenever he wanted. He delighted in the sound of Kasey's giggles puffing up his breast, his feathers ruffling.
Fox ran a gloved hand through her fiery hair, watching the two siblings once more falling into pensive silence. She wasn't used to talking so much, or people talking to her so much. Normally she was respected, but people were slightly frightened of her quiet nature they didn't talk to her.
She didn't mind the change. The Hardest Thing In This World Is To Live In It...Live..For me. Hush My Darling Don't Fear my Darling The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Is it safe to say? (C'mon C'mon) Was it right to leave? (C'mon C'mon) ßrΣ†† Brett watched his zombie through the hedges as it approached none other than the girl from before. Why did he keep running into her. But if she was in the garden...she must have been waiting for her boyfriend or something. Brett felt his heart beat pulsate throughout his body. He could literally hear it echo into the entirety of his body. Why should he care if this girl had a boyfriend? Well it didn't matter, because he didn't care. That's what he told himself at least.
Maintaining a keen eye and mental grip of the zombie, he watched as the girl stopped it in it's tracks. And to his absolute surprise, watched as the zombie exploded. Brett, still having maintained a mental link to the zombie felt the explosion in his head. As soon as the zombie had exploded, it was like a similar one had gone off inside his head. Brett let out a yell of frustration and groaned loudly as he fell through the thorny rose bush. The bushes had nicked him up a bit as he fell through them and he now had various little cuts on his arms. The pain in his head was more prevalent though, as it was as if ten migraine headaches had gone off in his head all at once. After the sensation of pain went away, Brett got off of the all fours position he had landed on and looked at the girl, who was on her knees.
Is she...in pain...? Brett got up and, not bothering to examine his own arm wounds, he went over to the girl who he had tortured before. All Brett could think about was if she was okay. Though everyone knew that's not what would end up coming out of Brett's mouth. As if on cue, Brett finally spoke to her again.
"Are you...alright...?" Will I ever learn? (C'mon C'mon) (C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon)

By this time recovering enough to at least look up and answer, answer she did. "I'll be fine." she said, her voice carefully bland, not betraying the rage she could still feel stirring inside her; yet it was edged with ice. Glancing back at the ruined tatters of rotted flesh that was the only evidence of a zombie having been there, she continued in the same bland, yet soft, voice. "I'm guessing that was your zombie."
Never once looking at him again, she remained on the ground, hesitant to move. She didn't want to pass out, and it would be even worse if she passed in front of this guy. Live for the moment Take this advice, live by every word. Love is just a hoax, So forget everything that you have heard, Forget everything. Kolter shrugged. He didn't like being wrong or knowing he misjudged something, but at the moment his temper seemed extinguished. For a moment Kolter seemed at loss for things to do. Standing still, well, it wasn't something Kolter was good at.
"Excuse me,"He murmured, more for Kasey's benefit then true concern for the person he still thought of as a stranger. Her words made him walk away from her when he walked around her, avoiding touching her for a reason. The bird seemed smart, he wasn't going to give it a reason to attack him if he could help it.
Kasey watched with delight as the bird moved. Well, not exactly moved, but at least changed in some way. She giggled again. He definitely looked tougher in her eyes with his chest puffed out.
"Ooh,"she found herself giggling yet again, this time in response to what Fox had said. Kasey's voice now showing more amazement then before. It was more obvious when she spoke then when she just gazed at the bird. As for Kolter, she certainly heard him but she ignored him as if she hadn't heard anything at all.
Kolter found himself walking toward the office aide. He listened to his sister as he went, smiling softly to himself before reaching yet another stranger. This was going to get old real fast. Still, Kasey wasn't with him. That was reason to calm down and worry at the same time. Well, not much he could do other then go back to her. The lady in front of him asked his name.
"Regan Desmond."Kolter's voice replied steadily. "May I get my sister's, too? She's just right there. Kasey Desmond." The lady nodded. She seemed impatient and Kolter could tell. He gritted his teeth. It wasn't like he wanted to do this, either! The lady seemed to be taking her time as she sifted through the envelopes, holding Kolter up.
Kasey didn't react to her brother leaving or him speaking, either. She could hear him to some extent. Not perfectly, of course, but enough. It didn't seem to Kasey like there was too much noise other then her brother's voice, really. The breathing and heartbeats of those around, the bird's noises. . .Nothing too loud. Heaven's not a place that you go when you die, It's that moment in life When you actually feel alive.
