"You don't have to worry about the chair." Kay said to Mathis entering the apartment. "Okay guys, everyone up. It's time to praactice." He said walking over to a rack of guitars he had and picking up his favorite electric. "We only have a couple more weeks until our real gig." Kay slung the guitar strap over his head and pluged it into the amp. Waiting for the others to join him, he tuned his guitar and lossened up. ((Below is a picture of his favorite guitar...))

yuna got up from the couch and watched kay tune his guitar. "ok so which one do you wanna start with?"

Saiya took her position and gave a thumbs up. "When ever your ready doll." She said with a smirk. Her base strapped on and plugged up, she did a couple practice bars while she waited for them to decide.

Mathis shrugged and sat down behind his set, placing a hoof on the bass pedal and giving it an experimental thump. He nodded when it sounded as it should "Maybe something fast, but fun" he tapped out a quick beat on one of the secondary snares.

Mathis gumbled and added a little more finece to his beat, making it more complicated "Such a show off sometimes Kay" he said. He glance at Yuna "Gonna lend us a voice Yun?" he asked over the music.

yuna smiled walked up to her mic. "alright... some people you can never please. you might as well just let them be..." she started singing "hey hey" by superchick.

Kay smiled inwardly when Mathis picked up the pace. He had come to know Mathis to well. Show him up a little and he pushed himself even harder to be better on the drums. Maybe Mathis noticed, maybe he didn't. But Mathis' playing had greatly improved from what he had been when Kay had first started the band. Yuna and Saiya too.

Mathis smiled, the drums sounded especially good tonight Maybe I should leave them at this tension, it works better than the last test-tension he thoguht, adding some symbal to the beat. He spun a stick in the air and ran through his routine quiet beat, still quick, but low enough to where Yuna's voice could be heard easily, and the bass guitar almost matched in tone.

Kay wove his guitar through the drums and bass beats perfectly. That will but a bee in Mathis' bonet... he thought. Kicking up his rythme to make a smooth contrast he played in a way to make Yuna's voice really shine. Yuna had improved the most of the ones Kay had recruited into the band. But something was still missing from their band that could kick them up to the next level.

Mathis snorted at Kay's obvious teasing I'll show you a thing or two Mathis smiled as he added a drum roll behind the song's main chorus, coming to a climax as the chorus ended. He backed off as the song grew a little slower, then faster again, keeping the beat wasn't as hard as modt paople thought.

Saiya was quickly becoming irritated at the boys little war. She let her irritation be known when she butted in on their competition with her own little show of talent. She stuck her tongue out at them.
