Giving
He gave her a chance; She gave him pain He gave her his love; She gave him the door He gave her love; She gave him lies He gave her his life; Angels took it back for him
Translation: About a man giving all he had to a woman who apparently didn't give a s**t about him. He committed suicide and the angels took his soul.

Consequences of Intoxication
He's drunk again She's on her knees Tears down her cheeks She pleads and begs for a life Gun in his hand Another life is lost
Translation: This can be taken many ways. Depends on how you read it. It can be like a man is drunk, the girl begs for her life, the man kills her. It can be a man is drunk and sad, the woman sees the gun, pleads with him to keep his life, but he commits suicide.

Angel of Darkness
In the darkness, She comes In the darkness, She steals lives Go to sleep, Wake up with hospital bands on What happened?
She marked her victim One, you're safe Tow, you're hers Take it off, You forfeit life She flies through the night, Harvesting the soul she claimed Try and escape her if you dare She'll get angry And kill those around you
The angel of darkness Comes at night She's the Grim Reaper And we are her toys
Translation: This is a variation of the dream I had. In the dream, a blue fairy/nymph flew around, collecting souls and killing people. She picked random people. If you woke up with one hospital band, you were safe and it signified that you had too pure of a heart to be taken so early. If you woke up with two, however, your heart was impure and she would take your life in due time. If you ran from her, she chased you and got angry. To defeat her, you had to seal her in a burlap sack and toss her into the ocean, releasing her evil spirit to return to the heavens. In the end, no one succeeded in doing so.

Misery Consumes
Misery's all I know; Pain is all I bring To those around me Happiness left me long ago Happiness is an illusion Manifested by a person To hide their pessimism and grief Happiness doesn't exist
In this world, There are many living under The illusion of happiness There's no such thing as "true happiness" There is contentment, But happiness is just a useless word Thought up by ignorant beings To hide their suffering and pain, To live in a delusional state of mind Where they think they're happy
In the end, They discover that happiness doesn't exist And they realize the error of their ways Misery consumes them, One by one, Until it has consumed them all When they accept that they're miserable, And will always be so, Contentment replaces misery
Translation: I bring misery to all those around me. Simple. Happiness is an illusion fabricated by humans so they will ignore how truly unhappy they are.

Don't Be Gone Too Long
I see the morning break The dawn revealing your smiling face And I remember Why I came I want to see you every day
The days are long and the nights are cold But with you here, I feel so warm And I wanna know why you have to leave so soon It doesn't matter cuz I'll wait for you But just remember
Don't be gone too long Cuz I'll miss you, dear Even if you leave, I'll hold you near my heart The memories are here to stay forever Just don't be gone too long, my dear
I love you more than life itself I'd give my life to see you smile, baby I wanna know why you captivate me Cuz your grip on me won't let me breathe
There's a love for you in my eyes Tell me do you see it and the size Of my heart can't get much bigger And all of the space is for you so
Don't be gone too long Cuz I'll miss you, dear Even if you leave, I'll hold you near my heart The memories are here to stay forever Just don't be gone too long, my dear

Dictator
You dictate everything; Who I hang around, Who I date, Where I go, When I'm back, Even what I do Now that I have someone who cares, You dictate everything I do with him He asked me out, You said no We talk on the phone, You complain it's too long What else will you do to control me? Will you read this poem? Will you listen in on conversations? Will you follow me everywhere? I know you're protective, But let the leash go Take it off of this adult There's no use for it anymore But you never will You'll always control my life Even in death
Translation: I was mad at my father and he constantly dictates my life.

Freedom
You treat me like a child You control everything I do From the clothes I wear To the style of my hair My life, because of you, Is dry, unentertaining, and mild
You say you love me But it does not show I try to break free, But I still get the third degree You're the one that'll know If my life is dying drastically
Because even though you try, I will try right back Cuz I want my life And wanna be someone's wife So I'll try and get it back on track And your control will slowly die
I dream the day Wher eI am free to do Almost anything on my own Cuz I don't wanna be just another clone So I'll try and try, harder than you And I'll be free, no matter what you say
Translation: Same as Dictator. I want freedom from the chains that hold me.

Hurt
I understand how you think now; How you talk when I'm not there I understand guys talk smack, But why about me, too? Is that really necessary?
You're innocent, And that is cute, But just because you are, Doesn't give you the right to use me. To use me for such selfish acts, Such as sex and pleasure, Would truly hurt me
Since you made that comment, I've been on guard So guarded that I didn't want to talk to you Is that bad? Is it wrong? No I am simply guarding myself from you Guarding from the pain you'll cause And the harm you'll do But the damage is done Because... I already love you
Translation: Someone I know said a comment about me and it hurt really bad. They admitted to using me.

To The One I Love
You're the moon to my night, The petal to my rose. You're the stars to my moon And the air in my lungs. Without you, I cannot breathe. Without you, I cannot live. Without you, I am nothing.
You're the yin to my yang, The planets in my universe, The blood in my veins. You're everything I need And so much more. Words can't express How I feel when I hear your voice.
You're the water in my ocean And the rose in my garden. All this is true And I'll say it till I'm blue. You mean more to me than you think Because without Rose, There cannot be Kittie.

The Neko and the Rose
She didn't know Which way was up When so many Chewed her up and spit her out. She didn't know Why she lived, Why she breathed, Why she tried. All she knew Was that no on could be trusted. As the neko strived on, She saw many dogs. She fell in love with some Once she found that that's all they were, Dogs, She felt her heart break, For the neko cared too much For the wrong people. Just as she was about to die inside, She saw a rose. A single black rose. So beautiful and meaningful was the rose That it gave the neko confidence. Confidence to live, Confidence to try, Confidence to love. Each time the neko felt down, She visited the rose. The single, solitary, isolated rose. And with each passing day, The neko noticed the rose change.
When the neko first saw it, It was a small bud. But as she kept talking with it And spending time around it, It blossomed. So beautiful and meaningful was the rose That the neko envied it. "Why are you so beautiful and I so plain?" The neko asked. "But you aren't plain," The rose responded. "The reason I am so beautiful is because of you. You paid attention to me, Kept an eye on me as I grew. Without you, I would have surely died, Failed at life," The rose explained. "I'm not special," The neko grumbled. "But you are, Neko-chan. Without you, I had no reason to live. You proved to me The meaning of life. I saw you try And try And try And it made me strive to live. It made me see That even when down, It's possible to be picked up."
So flattered and amazed was the neko with the rose's words Thta she decided to accept herself. Accept who she was, Why she was who she was, And accept The only reason she was alive: The rose. The rose taught her many things in her lifetime. But all beautiful things could not last forever. The rose soon died, Leaving a grieving neko behind. "Do not weep for me, Neko-chan. For I am always with you. You made me so happy And for that, I thank you," Came a small voice. The neko smiled and nodded, Deciding she'd live on for the rose.
Days passed, And the neko continued coming To the same spot she met the rose, Wishing she were still alive. But even in death, The rose still talked with her.
One day, Upon returning to her usual spot, She saw a small bud blooming. It was right where the rose was. Unable to take it, The neko grew angry. No one and no thing could replace her rose. It angered her that this bud would try. The rose was special to the neko. So special that the neko didn't want to live without her. Why did she have to go? Why did she have to leave? Then the neko saw it. The bud blossomed into another black rose. This pushed the neko over the edge And resulted in a decision being made: The neko would die. If she couldn't have her rose, What was the point in living? She understood that The rose wanted her to live on. But why bother When she was alone?
Her only friend was the rose. Her only life was the rose. Her true love was the rose. Her only salvation was the rose. And her guardian angel... The neko stopped. Her guardian angel. Someone meant to look after her Even in death. "Now you see, Neko-chan," Came the voice of the rose. "Though I am not there, I am right by your side, Watching over you all the time." This was enough for the neko. The neko changed her mind, Deciding to carry on, Just for the rose. Now, instead of living for herself, She was living for the rose, too.
Years passed. The neko grew closer with the other black rose, But always holding her first dear to her, Never to be replaced. The neko grew older and older, Until finally, She was about to die. She made her way to her spot. The spot she met the rose. She curled up in a ball And slept the eternal sleep, Joining the rose in the afterlife.
Now, the neko currently stays by the rose's side, Even in death. Because their bond Is stronger than anything anyone could form.
Translation: I wrote this for my twin Blackrose332, showing how much our friendship means to me.
