"I suppose that makes sense... It's never really occurred to me." He tugged at the mask a little looking at it. Glancing back up, his ears perked, "Well, unless I'm not real..." As for really being a ninja, "My dad is a ninja and he's taught me and my siblings." He gave a small nod. Though ninja's were assassin's he supposed he wasn't completely considering that wasn't what he went around doing.

Carlos grinned at Tomo, who was trying to see things from another perspective. "It must be great to know martial arts. Maybe I should learn someday..." he mused, playing with his ear. Maybe he could get out of the way or fight back and not end up on the wrong end of someone's fists... Then he hopped up on the back of the couch and glanced back at the other before jumping down onto the floor. "I'm Carlos, by the way. You coming?"

Tomo chuckled, "Ill admit it is pretty handy to know. Builds confidence." He nodded with a smile. His ears perked and watched the other hop over the couch, making him grin. Rising himself he straightened out. "Nice to meet you Carlos ~" He moved around, "Of course, I was the one that offered."

Carlos glanced back at Tomo. Confidence? Normally that was something he had in abundance. Lately though, not so much... "I guess I'll have to find myself a teacher then," he said lightly, then gave his fellow unicat a grin and fell in along side him. "It's nice to meet you too, Tomo." A walk in the park with someone would be a nice change. He needed to get his mind off of things.

Tail waving he chuckled lightly. "I could show you." He hadn't been insinuating the other lacked confidence, it was just a fact he'd noticed in general. Purring lightly he started to lead them from the shop. "It's a nice day out ~" When they got to the door he held it open for the other unicat. At least the other seemed a bit more perky now. Maybe it had been a good idea to offer.

Carlos walked with his hands clasped behind him, tail waving - yes, waving - behind him. His ears perked. He also hadn't been insinuating that the other should offer... "Really?" His ears drooped a little as he passed through the door. "I don't think I'd make a very good ninja..."

Tomo shut the door behind him as Carlos passed, his ears perking. "Well, you don't have to be a ninja to learn martial arts..." He chuckled lightly as he fell into step with the other unicat. "You could just learn it because... It's sort of fun once you start." He smiled, purring lightly, his tail swishing a bit.

"Oh... well... you didn't tell me you knew any other kinds of martial arts." Carlos glanced back at the unicat curiously as he closed the door. When they got started up again, he had a subtle spring to his step. "So what other kinds do you know?"

"Well, there's lots you can learn... I know mostly Ninjutsu and Jujitsu. I know a bit of Judo and Kenjutsu though, too." He glanced at Carlos... He probably sounded like he was rambling now. Giving a small chuckle he purred a little, "I'm not supposing you know what I'm talking about...?" He grinned lightly.
"My whole family pretty much does it, and my dad was the one who taught us. He's the real ninja in the family. I just do it for sport." Speaking of which, he... really hadn't heard many stories about his dad and what he dad or had done. Realizing this made his ears perk, and he blinked. Hm...

"Er... not really," Carlos chuckled. They sounded like gibberish to him. "Is there one I can learn that's not for sports or killing people?" he asked doubtfully.
He saw a change in the other unicat's expression, as if something might have occurred to him suddenly. "What is it?"

Tomo glanced back at Carlos at the inquiry, blinking before giving a small smile and waving it off lightly. "Oh, nothing... I was just thinking." He gave a small chuckle, "Having lived with my parents most of my life, Ive never heard one story from them from when they didn't have kids."
Tail waving behind him, he went back to the previous question. "Mhmm. You could just take certain aspects from different styles and apply them to and for basic self defense..."

"Oh." Carlos' ears flicked back and forth a little. "Maybe they didn't know each other very long before they had kids."
"Sounds like I'd have to learn a lot I don't need to know." He sighed almost silently. "Maybe I'll just take up boxing or something. Or Aikido. I've heard that one's good for self-defense..."

Tomo gave a small shug, his ears flicking a bit, "Probably... Sorry, it was just a random thought." He chuckeld lightly. He mentally shoved the thoughts to the side in his mind so as not to be distratced by silly things.
Glancing at Carlos he blinked, "Mm... Suppose. You can pick and choose what you want to learn. The oppurtunites just tend to go on. Are you just focused on basic self defense?"

"Well... yeah... why would I want to hurt anybody?" Carlos peered up at Tomo curiously, rubbing an ear. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... Maybe he could just get a big dog or something.

That wasn't... quiet the idea he had in mind when he had asked, but he gave a small shrug. He tried to think of a possible scenario but failed and just walked in silence a moment. Personally, he trained for the fun of it, and he never really thought of using it for hurting someone. It was just something fun to know.
He shook his head lightly, "That wasn't what I meant, sorry. Suppose it was a bit of a dumb question. Of course it's just self-defense." His tail waved a little and the uni-cat gave a light chuckle.
