badloki Thank you, Ella and Nopenname for applying. I have added you both to the applicant list. However, Ella, I do wanna make sure you know that, although this is a "job", it's not a paying job or anything like that. It's all on a volunetary basis. I'm not actually "hiring" anyone, just looking for good voluneteers to help with the guild. I'm sure you know this, but I just wanted to clarify just in case. wink Yeah, I know. I don't mind. Like I said, my library job is a volunteer job too. biggrin

GPG join date: I've been around more than 8 months, so probably close to 9 [or more? Maybe.]
Experience: I am not a parent but have been doing child-care for the past 3 years. I am now in charge of a 6 year old everyday 3:30-8:00PM [But I have internet access]. I have no mod experience but I fill out reports daily to do my share.
Reason for wanting to be a Crew member: I would like the experience and I have a LOT of extra time that I want to do something constructive with. I am a "helper" type of person, so any time I can be of assistance I want to be.
What do you think you can contribute to this guild as a Crew member? Like I said, I have a LOT of extra time. I have read a lot about pregnancy [even though I have not yet experienced it] and could answer questions. I LOVE children, and I have read a lot of child-care books and I have a lot of experience with children around the ages of 2-6. I am a calm and cheery person in nature and I like to lend a helping hand to anyone I can with a smile.
How often do you read/post in the GPG? I read new threads/posts multiple times a day [as soon as I log into Gaia], but I don't post very often because not a lot of the threads that are active apply to me so I don't think I could offer anything constructive. I have posted a few times though, but I do read it every day.
How much time would be able to spend a day being a Crew member? In the mornings for about an hour [6-7AM PST], and later in the afternoon [3-11PM PST]. I am online most of the day unless I'm doing something.
Any other helpful info you feel we need to know about? Mm.. not really. I would just like to contribute and help out and fill in the boring time during my time with the kid I watch since he is usually more interested in the television when he gets home from school.

Anymore applicants for the Crew positions?
If I don't see any more applications come in within the next two days, then i will consider it closed and start the decision making process with my Vice Captain and Crew.

Alrighty, as of today, I am no longer taking applicants. The applications we did recieve will now be discussed and decided upon. Those who are chosen will be notified as soon as a decision is made. I will also post to this thread when we have made our decision.
So applicants, please keep an eye on this thread AND your mailbox! This could possibly take a couple few days though.
Also, if you do not happen to be chosen, please do not take it personally. We're just going with those who are best suited for the job and who we feel would do well at it based on the info you gave in your applications AND your behavior while being a member here. But I recommend to apply again in the future, you never know! wink

UPDATE: Just wanted to let you applicants know that we have NOT forgotten about you! I have just been waiting to gether opinions from all my exsisting Crew before I assign the 2 new Crew. One hold up has been the holidays. In Canada, it's Thanksgiving, so our Canadian Crew have been quite busy in real life and unable to respond, but we WILL have a decision made within the next 2 days if not sooner! We have it narrowed down, but we just wanted to iron out some finalities before I assign anyone. So PLEASE be patient with us for just a bit more. Thnaks!! mrgreen
