spelling errors are not a big deal. in my case it's mostly a typing error. skill with spelling isnt much of an indicator of intelegence, to a certain degree. insualting the poor speller for it is in most casses un-needed and un called for. chat speak is a difrent matter. When i read somthing i automaticly assign that person a voice, and when i read thier statments thats the voice i hear. when i look at chat speak the only thing that come to mind is a "im a 12 year old dumbass who just relized that to and 2 are the same sound! My god im brillant *sniker sniker sniker" and thats not a good thing. im an actual chatting type situation were you need to comunitcate quikly im more forgiving. if the difrence in time it takes to say "wear R U" instead of "revial to me your current location" can mean your buddy getting trounced by orcs, i can understand it's use. but gaia is a message board. you have all the time in the world; use real words goddamn it.
Grammer on the other hand Is a good indicator of intelegence. For one to sound intelegent, one must abide by gramatical convention. if i do use improper grammer it becuse im useing an accent or dialect for the hell of it. xp
in short
typing errors=nothing to be concerd about
Chatspeak=3V1L (FYI, |337 and chatspeak have nothing to do with each other. leet is a cypher, chatspeak is laziness)
bad grammer=well, bad.
fun accents=.......*ahem*...........fun

I just generally dislike people using phrases such as "wear R U" even when time is of the essence. I mean, the extra half second it takes to type "are" opposed to "r" is quite meaningless. Actually, regular spelling has just been burned into my brain, and I find that it takes more time and effort to write "r" instead of "are". I only ever shorten words when there is limited screen space for the messages. Like while playing Runescape domokun
