I sorta used a pattern. I did find a tutorial on how to make it, then just went from there. xd ....I went to find it in my bookmarks and the blog has been removed!! *sad* It was a sweet one too with how many should be in each row and pictures all the way. I think I have another tut from craftster bookmarked too though... Wait found the blog! Patchwork skirt tutIt's actually a little kid one, but can be adapted pretty easily.

LauralV I love it! For some reason it reminds me of Molly Weasley. You fall hard, You fall deep Even when you're awake, You look half asleep Do you even know what you did last summer? Wandering around deaf, dumb and blind With the girls all hanging around youThat is awesome my dear. And yes, now that you mention it, I can see why.
Is that no or yes? We'll have to guess. Mysterious eyes let you see what you want. Half the time you didn't know any better But half the time you didhanging around Like tomorrow doesn't apply to you

I want to make a full-length one...in corduroy! (mmm...warm) I live in Iowa, where you can't wear any other fabric in the winter.

That's really cute! Did you buy all that fabric or did you use those quilter quarters that they sell in the fabric stores?

sammysoblue That's really cute! Did you buy all that fabric or did you use those quilter quarters that they sell in the fabric stores? I used scraps people gave me for free, but I did go out and buy specific colours. xd Only like 0.5m of each so it was pretty cheap - like 5 dollars or less a thing.

What a lovely skirt! I think I might want to look into making something similar. I love funky skirts with interesting deigns and colors, but too often the ones I like end up not fitting my ridiculous hips. Thanks for inspiring me! biggrin

Nice idea! Looks great! At least it doesn't make you look like a walking quilt! 3nodding

Thanks for inspiring me! biggrin That's why I'm a fan of elastic waist bands cool That and they're super easy to whip up! Only the more fabric you add, the heavier it gets so you kinda have to pull it up often. xd I keep it at my waist 90% of the time so it just rests there on my curves, lol.

I love skirts that have ties you can pull to tighten it, too. I've got that whole hourglass thing, where my hips are really broad but my waist is small in comparison. It's hard to find skirts that aren't too loose around the waist but can make it around my hips. >_< Hurray for elastic!
