Mkia giggled and crouched down, glancing over the hill quickly, then she ducked back down, "Better plan... there are a whole bunch of them over there. There's a white one with a long black stripe... we'll go after that one. You can go over the hill, and I'll go around the back. There's two of us, we'll have it surrounded!"
She liked that plan. After all, she wasn't all that hungry. She just wanted the leopard whom she had automatically placed in the 'friend' collumn. It tended to be a little automatic with her.
"I'm ready when you are!"

Taking in everything she had said, he gave a quick nod. Yes, he'll get one! With a flick of his tail, he took lead and headed towards the top of the hill. Not sure if she would give a que when she was ready, the hungry leopard gazed through the grass. He saw a white one...but there were other white ones too. Which....?
Instincts. They took over without him even giving it a second thought. His legs lunged forward and for a split second Kenya was soaring in the air like an eagle but gravity took hold and landed on the ground. Right in front of the rabbit.
"Ahah!" He roared childishly. "Got you!"
With one last pounce he quickly snatched up the rabbit in his jaws. Adrenaline pumping in his veins. Where was Mkia? She better have been watching.

Mkia gave a light laugh, watching the other leopard run. He was pretty fast, that was good! He could probably catch his all on his own... and besides which, he had gone after the white rabbit was no stripe, instead of one with one.
So, she ran and caught the other rabbit, while the others bolted away from the two leopards as fast as they possibly could. She grinned at Kenya, taking her own lunch towards him and nodding her head in approval.
"Great job! You're pretty fast!" She told him, dropping her own kill at her feet, "And now we'll both have enough to eat for now!" She seemed incredibly pleased about that. After all, with all her energy she had to eat a lot, or she would crash.

Kenya grinned, gripping the rabbit in his mouth. He was quite pleased with himself. This had been an extremely lucky catch, but he supposed he could only get better with practice. Now since he knew where these rabbit dens are, he could come back for more later. The male dropped the rabbit at his feet and dug in. With fresh food in his stomach, his mood was slightly more pleasant. He enjoyed this girl around, even though she was kind of weird. The young leopard was getting tired, probably needing to get some shut-eye before tomorrow. With a yawn, he dug into the grass and laid down. Without even saying anything to Mkia he drifted into a slumber. Whether they would go separate ways or not, it was up to her and he would find out when he awoke tomorrow.

Mkia smiled and nodded as she watched Kenya finish eating. She had decided that she quite liked the grumpy boy, and she was glad that she had been able to help him. Now he would be safe... and she knew perhaps she should leave but... but...
Well, it was partially selfishly that she remained close by. The very idea of being alone again sent shivers down her spine... She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to go. She didn't want to be alone again. She didn't want to scream.
So she didn't leave.
Besides, he was younger than she was. He obviously didn't know enough about hunting to be left alone yet... and even if that wasn't the only reason, Mkia was a good girl at heart. She wouldn't have been able to bear it if anything happened to him when she left. Or if she were miserable the second she did.
Besides, he hadn't asked her to leave... and so she decided to sleep near-by. And as always, she felt much safer and better doing that.
