"Ah!" Abacus exclaimed, but whether in understanding or in realizing that his attack was blocked was left to the imagination of anyone watching. He twisted in mid-air, attempting to tumble out of the way. When she yelled, Abacus yelped and attempted to dash away, then yelled his own kiai back at her.

"Well done!" She called as they parted again, grinning from ear to ear. However, she wasn't quite done yet... was warmed up now and turning the tables so she was now on the offensive. Winking, she ran towards him, seemingly doing exactly what she had told him to avoid.
But... she feinted once... twice.... trying to confuse him so she could then fling him with a throw. Kallisto followed that up with a whip-like kick.

"Thanks!" He replied, getting up and du- "Wha? Hey!" He spun to where Kallisto feinted, then -- "AGH!" Not again! Abacus was already feeling the bruises! He tucked himself into a ball and attempted to tumble out of the way, using the flat ground to his advantage to further roll out of harm's way.

She laughed, "What're doing!?" Stopping, Kallisto watched him roll away with a chuckle and tilted her head to the side. "Don't you want a potion?" Falling back into Musubi-dachi, Kallisto waved her hand at Abacus, "C'mon~ Don't give up!"

"Self preservation!" Abacus gasped out, slowly uncurling from his ball and standing up, taking a moment to lean over with his hands on his knees for support, taking a moment to greedily suck in several deep breaths. "You should try it sometime!"
He stood up and eyed her stance cautiously, considering his next moves carefully. He was tired, and chances are her next attack would finish him so... Abacus grinned and straightened up, throwing Kallisto a salute before dashing forward, using the terrain to his advantage in order to deliver a punch with force. Take this!

She nodded approvingly as he came her and tumbled away in an attempt to dodge the attack. As she swept past, and came up on her feet, she swung while still crouching in an attempt to trip Abacus.

Abacus quickly moved to block her attack, trying to stay on his feet and remain... well, in the game. If he failed, it's all over. After the block, he attempted to strike out with his foot in retaliation.

Which she easily caught, not really even blocking, and tugged to throw him off balance. As he moved so did she, putting her kinesthetic strength into the throw as she rolled over backwards trying to send him flying.

He had enough time for an "Ohsweetdiv-" before he was thrown through the air. He tucked himself into a ball and got ready to tumble, blocking the otherwise painful damage incurred from the throw.
And it appeared that there were no divine entities to hear his desperate plea -- or perhaps there was. There wasn't anything wrong with his tucked ball form (it was in top form, actually)... Except instead of rolling around on the ground as he intended, he instead smacked into the ground. If he ever goes swimming, he's sure to have one heck of a cannonball!
From the heap that was Abacus, he slowly uncurled and moaned. "Whaa...?"

Kallisto heard him land and then groaned and smiled to herself, glad he wasn't hurt. She was tired.... he'd done well. Flopping onto her back, she laid out spread eagle in the dirt of the Arena's floor and tilted head back to smile at Abacus. "Well fought Abacus!" She could sense the poor phlegm had had enough stuffing thrown out of him for the time being and wasn't about to press it.
Flexing feet, the sanguine remained there for a moment watching the phlegm before she rolled onto her stomach. Kicking her heels up, she bent her legs and adopted a position very stereotypical of a gossiping girl, cheek in one palm, "Feel free to challenge me again~ This was fun!"

"Nrrrgh," he replied, still trying to make the heavens above stop spinning. He began to flex his fingers, making a mental tally of what's still there after those many throws. Abacus pushed himself into a sitting position and rubbed his head, turning to look at Kallisto. He stared, then laughed. "Agh, you barely broke a sweat. I think I need more practice before I can even consider challenging you again, haha. Ooow."

"Hahaha," laughing, the sanguine pushed herself up and then stood, "More practice, definitely but you did well! I'm winded." Standing before him, she leaned over and offered her hand to him, "Come on then. You must be sore. How about we go for something to drink? Maybe find some ice?" She smiled broadly and wiggled her fingers, "Sound good?"

Abacus groaned, "But the ground is so comfortable!" He took the hand and took the assistance in standing up, wincing as he did so. "Ice, I think, will become my newest best friend after spending some time with it," he quipped, "Perhaps in a couple weeks I'll be ready to challenge you again. But first..." He grinned, "It looks like I'm going to have to do a bit of research on the moves you used so I can have more of a chance next time, haha."

Kallisto tsked, "If you stay still without winding down your muscles will cramp." Laughing, she hauled him up and patted him on the back, "Ice will definitely do you some good," she dusted his shoulders off and looked him over, "still in one piece. That's good."
Again, the sanguine laughed as she stepped away, leading towards where they might find some ice, "Research can help, yes. Or you can come ask for more tutoring. I wouldn't mind that. But it's best you work on the basic skills first. Many of what I used today were the more advanced techniques and I wouldn't want you to get hurt for your enthusiasm alright?
Besides," she winked mischievously, "You could always say no advanced techniques next time too!"
