My happiest memery would be my best friend, Heather. She's so awesome, I would just think of her. She's one of the rare things that makes me happy, and she would definately conjure a Patronus for me.
And my animal would probably be a grey wolf, seeing as they're my favorite animals. Also, whenever I watch movies or something with them in it, I feel a sort of magnetic pull toward them...like they're a part of me. Plus I have a bunch of pictures of them in my room and also those little knick knack things. I know that probably makes no sense whatsoever, but it's just how I feel.

Minerva the Bookwyrm It's too personal to ask what everyone would see/hear when a dementor got near them, but conjuring a Patronus requires a happy thought, and I speculated that people wouldn't mind sharing that. I've had difficulty knowing what memory I'd use in order to make a Patronus; does anyone know theirs?
EDIT: Forgot to ask...What animal would your patronus be? What animal would protect you? Harry's is his father, and Tonks and Snape have who they're in love with. What about you?
Mine would definitely be a white bengal tiger because I've had a framed picture of one on my bedroom wall since I was seven years-old and I used to say, "He jumps out of the picture and chases my nightmares away so I don't need a dream catcher." 4laugh
Hasn't this thread already been done? I know it's somewhere in the guild...just buried somewhere out there. sweatdrop
But to answer your question, mine would be a panther. Personality wise, I am rather like a big cat myself, fierce and lazy (fiercely lazy?), and what better animal to protect me than a big cat. As for the memory, I would probably imagine myself with a loved one instead of remembering something happy. Personally, I don't think I'd be able to remember something happy at that exact moment. I have trouble thinking of one now, so chances are I won't be able to think of one on the spot.

My happiest memory would probably be prom, dancing with Scottie to 'Everytime We Touch' It was probably the single most wonderful experience of my life. If not that, then our first kiss. Or something else involving the two of us. OH! Wait! I know! It's the exact moment when he dipped me on the dance floor and kissed me like that!!!! 4laugh 3nodding biggrin heart
My Patonus would likely take the form of some sort of cat, as I have a bit of an affinity for them (actually, I have an affinity for ALL animals, but it's stronger with cats). It would probably be a Lynx, because that's what we believe is my spirit animal, because it's definatly a wild cat of some sort, and I seem to have a bit of an odd attraction to and for them... when we went to the zoo once and we went to see them, they saw me and walk over towards me, and then just sat and stared at. One was purring so loud I could hear it, and they were looking. Right. At. Me. And I felt this really freaky but cool sort of connection with them....
Ok, for those who don't know, my beliefs are a sort of meshing of basic Christianity and some of the old Native American beliefs so.. yeah. I put a lot of stock in their old legends.

I'd have to say it'd be when I got my cat Scamper. He's my baby boy and quite recently, during tough times, he's the only one who can make me smile. It's like he knows when I'm upset and chooses those times to chase his tail, or roll over and let me pet his belly, or play with my toes. He sleeps with me every night, and he lets me cuddle him. And when I'm sick he always watches over me. He's like my own personal guardian angel. He also looks like me lol! So if I was ever attacked by a dementor, I'd think of all the times we've cuddled and he's acted like a complete nutcase to make me laugh.
That'd prolly make my animagus a cat that resembles him. Though I've always imagined it to be a lion b/c I look like one and b/c I'm brave, stealthy and adventurous like a lion. My cat looks kinda like a lion cub too. So, I'm gonna say my animagus would be a lion cub.

I wouldn't use a single happy memory, but a collection of them. They would be the ones spent with my former girlfriend, who also happens to be my former best friend. While I am saddened that we are no longer even friends, I am happy just thinking about our times together. I'm not even sure it's our times spent together that bring me joy, but the way she made me feel. She made me feel wanted and beautiful. So, I guess it's the feeling of being wanted and beautiful to somebody is that I would think of to conjure my patronus. It sounds really shallow, but I don't have much self-esteem, so that is what makes me happy.
As for what form my patronus would take...I think it would be a wolf. My former gf had this thing for wolves and she had posters and figurines of them all over her room. I felt safe when it was just the two of us in her room, with all those wolves looking down upon us.

That's a tough question. For one, I have no clue what memory I'd use. For the other, I suppose it would be the boy I love. And I would suppose his animal shape might be a cheetah. Fast, strong, and admired.

I don't really have many truly happy memories at all. Most of the time i hate reflecting on myself cause i don't like what i see. Honestly i think my patronus would be a chamelion because i'm adaptable and very easily swayed by others, basically if the crowds doing it i probably will to. Even if i have previosly said i would'nt, my morals change depending on the crowd i'm in and their opinions about issues and people and peoples isses. cry My memoy would probably consist of all the times i was just by myself being me......... that seems to be the only way i can be me, is away from everyone and everything that could possibly influence my thinking. Also when i went to church camp and we were learning about fasting, prayer and meditiation and i tried that. It was just me and God connecting and it was amazing. That would be my memory, is that time with God. Sorry to go all emo on you guys but i'm confused and have some emotions right now about this very issue. My life sux!

I don't think it's been done already. confused LHH told me via PM that she really liked this thread and if it had been done before she'd probably remember. If it is a repeat I'd normally apologise for it, but considering how many great responses this got I'm glad I did it. 3nodding It's cool that your patronus would be a panther; that's my mum's favourite animal! smile

My happy memory would be when I was 8 and me and my best friends I probably will never see ever again were playing Harry Potter, I laughed so hard when my friend did a snape inpresion, although it makes me cry everytime I think about it, it makes me smile as well.
My Pratronus would probably be a Cheetah, because I love cats and I love running, and cheetahs are meant to be the fastest land animal.

I have three memeories in mind that I would think of. One was when I was 2 or 3 and my pappaw and Great-grandpa put me on their shoulders, took me to an ice cream place and we all sing, "Ice cream, Ice Cream, we all scream for ice cream" at the top of our lungs.
Another would be this summer when it was me and my pappaw home alone and we just sat and talked about his cars. It isn't much, but I saw him truely smile for the first time in a really long time. He laughed and I laughed. Now, anytime I hear the words turtle car together I crack up.
The last would be on my pappaw's ATV by myself, going fast and driving in circles in the moonlight watching deer in the field. It's peaceful and I can forget everything when I do it.
My patronus would be a doe. Deer are always the animals I can connect most to. They protect who they love, like their young, are calm and peaceful creatures. They are beautiful creatures, breath taking even. They also remind me of my pappaw and as you can probably tell, he means a lot to me.

I don't have specific memory,but my Patronus would easily come every time I think of the boy I like (George,but not Weasley).... heart heart heart
And it would probably be a big bat,since Snape's my fav.... xd xd

I see what you mean Amelia...I have the same sort of thing, only I would picture (get ready for the extreme pathetic-ness...) Snape, Lupin, Sirius, or Tom Riddle.
My Patronus would probably a bald eagle. I like freedom and I'm brave. Plus, free flight has always intrigued me.

I don't really know what happy memory I'd think of. Maybe getting a good exam in a important test or something.
Anyway, I think my animal would be an owl. They're so beautiful! I especially love Hedwig, shame she had to die really. DD:

Well, first my Patronus would take the shape of a dolphin.
The memory I would use I think would be just a bunch of my favorite memories jumbled together-spending time with my friends, when I went to the Indiana Dunes, winning a tennis match, going to my grandma's house, spending time with my family, my dance recital, and mathletes. So I don't think I could choose just one, it'd be a lot all jumbled together that make me really happy.
