Ah, the future was a tricky bit of their powers. But quite logically, she and Jino had agreed that if they saw something in the future- whether they told or not, it was to happen. Them telling would simply help to bring it about, not prevent it. But that was the tricky part of it.

"We could," she said, "If you really wanted to know.."

"If there was something specific you really wanted to know about," Jino added in immediately, making it sound like a rather natural flow of the sentence- almost as if it were rehearsed, though they didn't need to practice when they were seers.

He had noticed the change in expression prior to asking the question, but did not care to ask on it just yet. Information was something he never needed to worry about getting, and he would satisfy his curiosity if he felt the need to do so- but this was the more important side of the conversation now.

She glanced between both of them, finding them utterly mysterious and yet scary too. She wouldn't say it out loud, but their powers madeher nervous. She didn't know that seers often brought discomfort to immortals. Didn't realise that they held powers that a god could never hold.

Even still, Pelli was better at being careful than her other half and she tried her best to still these fears.

"Erm, we don't know!" She admitted. Maybe she should ask if she ever got to kill her mother. Whether she got to find out why her father abandoned her. Maybe she should ask whether she'd master her powers or find love and start a family.

But somehow, knowing those things now would put an end to the excitement of not knowing.

But out of the blue, the dormant side of her persona took control.

"Will Nyoka ever love us?" This was said softly and sadly. "We don't think he ever did...before."

Kinagiri watched thoughtfully as the goddess made an effort to think of a question for them, wondering if they might be able to provide an answer. When she finally decided on a question- it was a very surprising one that came up. It was a difficult question, as well. They could see events, watch from an outside perspective- they could not get in the minds of those they saw and determine if there was love there.

And everyone had a different idea of actions that showed love. They were not always affectionate. Before she could speak up, though, Jino interrupted- as if expecting she might comment such ways.

"That is a difficult one," he said honestly, already having weighed the pros and cons of deceiving the lioness. He came to the same realizations as Kina had, unless he could foresee Nyoka saying 'I love you' and absolutely meaning it.. there wasn't much he could say for certain.

That didn't mean he couldn't fake it though. He only hoped the goddess would not see through a lie, if she wanted to believe it perhaps it would be easier to accept, harder to detect the lie. He made a genuine effort, though, and rising up a bit he swayed lazily for a moment as he searched for future interactions between Rokopelli and the serpent. If such an instance could be found, he would need to be wary. If it was all-out hostile, hinting that there was kindness and love there wasn't going to work.

With a slight shudder, he came out of the daze.

"Yesss," he hissed lightly, "Ssomething understood, not verbal."

Her eyes flickered between the odd pair. They certainly were a good team, each one boosting one another's strengths and hiding their weaknesses. She craved a time when she and Nyoka could be like that. The green snake was her saviour, the one to bring her back to the world. She had loved travelling with him, talking with him and teasing him.

Now he was gone there was a place in her heart that was empty and cold.

Her ears drooped as the snake spoke what she had been fearing. Was there no way to see into another's heart? Was there no way to see whether one's feelings were genuine or just a disguise to keep their true intent hidden?

She watched as the snake swayed, eyes locking on him intently. She leaned forwards in preparation for the answer and when it came she looked a little dumb-founded.

"Not verbal?" She blinked and sat back on her haunches, curling her paws against her chest. "But why not? Why can't he say it?"

Kinagiri did not need to know what Jino had seen to be able to answer the questions that followed. They were ones that did not necessarily require seer powers, and that was important because it definitely made them seem more genuine. And from here, Kinagiri could not rely on her seer abilities so she generally seemed much more natural than Jino.

"There are many reasons," she offered lightly, thoughtfully, "Sometimes you don't know how you feel, don't realize it. Sometimes you won't admit it."

"Actions ssspeak louder than words," Jino continued from what Kina said, trying to clarify exactly what the lioness suggested. When Rokopelli met up with Nyoka again, it might not be what she hoped but.. there was something between them already that would have to be worked out.

"Love is a tricky thing."

The goddess seemed to consider this for a long time. Then she stood and took a step back, glancing to the sky. "We hope you are right." She said softly. She seemed to have been afected greatly by their words and their 'visions'.

"We thank you muchses." She fixed her bi-coloured eyes on them and spread her wings wide. "We think it'll be okay eventually. We'll make it up to Nyoka and things will be back to normal in no time."

She was silent for another moment, glancing at the snake and the lioness, her heart aching for the familiar presence of Nyoka rebuking her. "We better go now. We're trying to get someplace and the sooner we get going the sooner we'll remember where the place is." She smiled. "Maybe we can talk again." And with that she spread her rainbow pinions wide and swept up into the air.

Now they were in a situation where Kinagiri was at a complete loss. At least when the subject spoke, argued, did.. something other than stay quiet and reflect .. Kinagiri would know something about the situation they were in. As long as Jino did not panic, though, she would not panic. And when Rokopelli spoke up, she only had her own judgment to analyze the tone with. Deciding it wasn't threatening, wasn't unfriendly, she dared to smile encouragingly.

"And we wish you luck working it out," she offered in return, stepping to Jino and holding up a paw so that he could climb up.

Jino was much more patient, much more at ease than Kinagiri was- even though Kinagiri managed to keep herself perfectly calm in appearance. He nodded when the goddess finally spoke up and prepared to take her leave. He did not immediately take the paw offered him, and instead kept his eyes upon the goddess.

"Maybe," he agreed with a slight smile, watching Rokopelli fly upwards- doing his best to brace himself against the rush of air. Then he turned back to climb up to Kinagiri's back- his favorite perch and mode of transportation. The pair of them watched the goddess fly off, and then went on their way, muttering to each other about what just happened.
