Mya listened closely to Afrit's tale, tilting her head thoughtfully as she tried to find an answer herself. "Thirst for power, wish of independence... could be lots..." she muttered absent mindedly, actually taking a bit to acknowledge Astraea's question. "Huh? Oh, sorry, kinda got wrapped up on my own curiosity... I'm Mya, and my little girl here is Dante!" she introduced them, blushing lightly.
Dante's head turned lightly as she heard her name being said from above, but she shrugged it off. After all, everytime they met someone new they had to say their names. It was a fair trade, you said yours and got theirs. Simple. Wait. The other little person didn't say her name yet. And she didn't know how she looked like too. "Name?" the infant asked, turning her head back to Lorelei.

Dante. That was a name that Lorelei had heard before. Plonking herself back down beside Dante she smiled warmly. Her smile soon faded a moment later when she remembered what Ingina had said. Dante could see like Lorelei could. "Lorelei" she grinned in response to being asked for her name. "You know Ingina?" she asked a short moment later, wanting to make sure she had remembered correctly what Ingina had said about Dante.
"Don't worry about it" Astraea replied, still smiling warmly, "happens to me all the time". Astraea too paused as she mused over what could have caused Afrit to rebel against her master. She had read a little on slavery and it seemed that the reason that Mya had suggested would indeed be fitting reasons to rebel.

The mention of Ingina's name made Dante remember the little girl instantly, her little smile growing a bit. Sure she did! The flight they had with Tayten had been so cool, she didn't even be afraid like Mos or anything! Brave girl with a star on her mind. "I know. She give fluffy keychain!" Dante said, nodding softly. She suddenly jumped into action, running her gloved fingers over Lorelei's face without warning. Alas, in her mind, she had already waited for too long...

Admittingly, Lorelei was rather startled when Dante began to run her hands over her face, although she remained where she was. It was a rather odd experience, her jade eyes watching the other girl with a curious expression. "What's doing?" she asked, careful to not move to much as she spoke, just incase it effected whatever Dante was doing.

"Knowing look like." Dante answered straightly, her hands now going through Lorelei's long hair. Standing out from the rest, the braid got Dante's interest, resembling her own tentacley dreads. Her winglets flapped a bit, showing her excitement (as it usually happens...).

Lorelei grinned as she caught the flapping of Dante's wings. She found it rather strange however that the girls wings were located on her ankles, rather then upon her back like Ingina and Turel. "Why wings on ankle?" she asked, reaching toward the girl's wings. She didn't touch them but merely allowed her fingers to hover about them.
Astraea watched her daughter interact with Dante, releaved when Lorelei pulled up short of the girls winglets. "Do you know much about Dante's passed?" Astraea asked of Mya, still unsure how many guardians knew about the crimes their children had committed.

Dante had never asked that question herself. Ingina's wings were on her back, and were kinda bigger than hers. Like Tayten and Kalu! The Griff and her step sister also had wings on their back! Why did she have to be different on that aspect? How would she fly like that? At least they looked cooler, right? And, as for flying, she was sure she'd find a way... "Don't know, but like." she answered, shrugging. Realizing Lorelei's curiosity, Dante lifted them more, letting the silverish feathers touch on the other girl's hand. "Can touch." she aprooved, nodding.
"Not really... What I know was from a short encounter with a pair of Greek gods..." Mya said, as if it was the most natural thing in the world to happen. To bump into an angry Love godess and recieve the Messenger's protegeé. Well, more 'unusual' things had happened on her life...

"Lorelei like too" Lorelei enthused as she gently brushed her fingers against Dante's anklets. They felt soft against her fingers, much like Ingina's had the first time she had touched them. Withdrawing her hand from the girls winglet, Lorelei turned her attention back to Dante's face. "Hard not seeing?" she asked, as it appeared that Dante had little difficultly dealing with her disability.
Astraea nodded, knowing a little about Greek mythology. "Is was Hermes who had the wings upon his ankles was it not?" she asked, wondering if she was a rusty on her Greek mythology as she suspected she was.

One of the multiple concepts Dante just couldn't grasp was to see. First, even though she had her eyes blindfolded, she never ever had taken it off during her short life, nor did she have any interest on doing so. What for? She only had the vague impression that it was a bad idea, so it's not the best start off anyway! Second, what she could sense replaced her normal sight, forming some sort of image with grays and blacks on her brain. And since she never explained it to anyone, no one had told her yet that it was some sort of 'sight'. "What seeing?" Dante asked naturally, vaguely interested on the meaning.
"Yup. From what I know, he protected Dante's spirit when she died so Aphrodite didn't tear it apart while the council of the gods went on to decide what punishment she should have. Probably the wings on her ankles are a gift from Hermes. Nice guy, if you ask me..." Mya said, nodding to Astraea's guess. Right on bullseye.

An expression of confusion crossed Lorelei's features. Although she knew that Dante couldn't see, she had thought that she would know what it meant. "Seeing is...." she started, chewing her lower lips in thought. "Seeing is using the eyes" Lorelei started agian, "using them to people and flowers and ponies". She grinned as she said ponies, hugging the one she held with her tightly. As of late she had become rather obsessed with them, and was never seen without one of her cherished plastic ponies. "Dante see in another way?" she asked, remembering how the girl had touched her face to 'see' what she had looked like. Slowly Lorelei was beginning to realise that perhaps you didn't need to be able to use your eyes to 'see'.
Astraea nodded, agreeing with Mya even though she had yet to meet a god. "Did he say why he need to protect her soul?" she asked, wondering what the blue-haired infant could have done to so anger Aphrodite.

Using the eyes? To people, flowers and ponies? It was strange. Why did someone need the use the eyes? And using them for what? Maybe... "Seeing is to know look like?" Dante asked, tilting her head a bit. She touched her own face with her little hands, wanting to know if she had eyes as well or not. At first, her lighter attempts found only the blindfold's soft fabric, but as she pressed on, Dante found the orbs called eyes. She had them alright. Why didn't she use them as well? She shook her head at the idea, pushing it to the back of her mind. She could 'see'. Why wouldn't the others' sight be like hers? "Uh-huh. You there, mommy there, little girl with no legs there, two big people there." Dante pointed out as she spoke, missing out no one.
"No, but I have an idea. You can't judge a soul if it's been ripped apart in tiny pieces by a pampered godess, right?" Mya said, shrugging. A reply echoed on her head, rage patent on the voice as it rang on Mya's brain.
I heard that!
"So kill me..." Mya muttered, maybe a little too loud than it should have been.

Lorelei nodded. "Yes seeing is to know look like" she repeated, smiling warmly at the other girl. With a curious look crossing her face, Lorelei continued to watch the other girls movements. She watched as Dante touched her own face, pressing firmly against the blindfold. As Dante proceeded to point out where everyone stood, Lorelei gasped in quiet amazement. "Whats things look like to you?" she asked, wondering whether Dante saw the same colours and images that she did.
Astraea nodded in agreement, smiling in amusement at the comment that Mya made about a pampered goddess. "I'm sorry?" Astraea asked, frowning in confusion, having heard Mya's comment about killing her.

Lorelei's gasp reached Dante's sensitive hearing, a small smile curling on her lips. Of pride. Of how good she was. Now, what they looked like... The infant remembered a game Kalu played with her when she was taught about the names of things so she'd talk better. "Shapes." Dante said, forming Lorelei's contours with her fingers as she saw her. It wasn't exact, but close to reality.
Mya blushed, realizing her slip. "I wasn't talking to you... I mean... Er... Well..." Her blush grew deeper by the second. How was she going to explain that the subject of conversation had decided to bug in on her mind? She didn't need to say anything though, as a white dove came in to furiously peck a hole in her head, a raged look showing through it's deep blue eyes.

Lorelei watched Dante, clearly mesmerized by what the girl was able to do. She had never expected that someone who couldn't see with their eyes like other could, would be able to 'see' as well as Dante seemed to be able. As Dante began to form Lorelei's contours, Lorelei's jade eyes watched the girls finger with stunned amazement. "Hard to learn things?" Lorelei asked, as she herself had found it difficult to learn about things even with her normal vision.
Astraea's eyes widened as a white dove began to peck furiously at Mya'a forehead. "Leave her alone" Astraea cried, swatting at the enraged bird.

Dante shook her head, pointing back to Mya. "Mommy and Kalu best teachers ever! Let touch and tell things of many things!" she explained, not finding another word for things. She was proud of all she knew, of how it all seemed so easy for her to learn.
"Alone? Alone??? I will certainly not leave this wretch alone when she keeps badmouthing me and claiming being better than me!" Yes, the dove speaks! Aphrodite hadn't been too happy with the way things had been succeeding, seeing Mya and the little horror so happily living, but the comment about being pampered... And the offer... It had just been too tempting. Of course, it didn't make her imune to getting grabbed by a certain pissed off someone...
"Like it isn't true..." Mya mocked, trying to keep her cool as to not squeeze the bird morphed godess on her hand. "Astraea, meet Aphrodite."
