"He is a sweet boy, I know how you feel though. Emmet is Romeo's first friend too, Emmet's really been getting him to come out of his shell." He said smiling as he led Riley to the back door that led to the porch and pool.
"You've never used water wings before?" Romeo asked surprised, "You can use my favorite ones then!" He said with a smile rummaging around in the bathroom until he pulled out the water wings.
"Here!" Romeo said handing Emmet a pair of Batman water wings, "They're to keep you from sinking." He said with a nod before running across the hall into his room and yanking a pair of Green Lantern swim trunks out of his dresser and changing right there. He was still to young to understand the inappropriateness of nudity in front of others, but as were most children his age. He changed quickly and then slipped his water wings on.
"Ready?" Romeo asked, he looked rather cute, the chubby little boy in his nerdy swimming gear a giant grin plastered on his face.

"Likewise with Emmet; He's looking excitable." Riley nodded a bit, following Marco's lead to the porch, finding a place to sit and doing so. "How are your other two?"
Emmet shook his head no, tilting his head curiously when Romeo seemed surprised. "I never had to..." He fallen into the pool once and had figured it out before Riley realized what had happened. "What? REALLY? Thanks!!" Emmet squealed out next when Romeo offered him his favourite water wings. He took them eagerly and inspected them like he did everything Romeo offered him, even flicking his tongue out at them purposely. They smelt funny, tasted funny, and looked funny...but they had to be cool!
He tried to figure out how to put them on and where while Romeo was changing. It wasn't until the chubby little cowlet came back did he realize how they were worn, and put them on like they should be. There was no need for him to change, he didn't wear clothes anyway. He stared at his chubby friend with big eyes, flicking his tongue out at him on occassion. "Who's that?" A white hand pointed at the boxers...Green Lantern was a new one to him, too.
"Oh, ready!" He cheered, slithering around his friend, poking his side lightly, with a giggle. "Chubby!" Emmet said in a cheery voice, then went to poke at himself, his finger poiting into his own belly. "Like me!" His tail coiled under him; his sister was skinner than he was, not that it mattered. It was just a silly little thing that kids pointed out for no reason. "Only we're different colours, see?" He put his literally white arm next to Romeo's dark one.

"Clay and Dei are doing well, Clay's down in the play room watching Air Bud, he seems fascinated with that series." He said with a nod, "And Deidre," He said with a chuckle, "She's having a very important tea party, I was told that she couldn't be disturbed." He said with a laugh remembering the serious look on the little girls face.
"This is the Green Lantern!" Romeo said with a smile as Emmet asked him about the new super hero on his trunks, "I have cartoons with him in it, we can watch some later!" He offered with a grin.
Romeo blushed a little when Emmet pointed out his pudgy size but then smiled again when he added that it was like himself, "Yeah!" He said with a wide smile. Clay had only ever made fun of him for being chubby, he didn't think that Emmet would use it as a way to try and show they were similar.
"C'mon!" Romeo said with a big grin leading Emmet out to the pool. Once they were out on the porch Romeo brought Emmet over to the adults, "Daddy look!" He said gleefully, "Emmet and me, we're both chubby, he's like me!" He said with a big grin pointing out what Emmet had pointed out to him.
Marco looked over to the boys when they came out and laughed when Romeo pointed that out, "I suppose you two are alike, huh?" He said finding it highly amusing that such a strange thing as that could make the boys happy.

Riley chuckled a bit at his description. "They sound really cute. Clay was the one that had scared Emmet when they first met, right? Yeah. He seems like he'd be a tough one. Deidre and Tryst seemed to have gotten along too, which is great." He made himself comfortable on the deck, it might be a little while before he left. Not that he was complaining.
Emmet nodded enthusiastically when Romeo suggested they watch the shows later. He was learning so much from Romeo! He was definitely awesome. The blush that Romeo had given confused him for a moment, and then he was dragged off and towards the porch. Or rather, Romeo moved and Emmet slithered after him. Red pupils moved over Romeo's features while he talked to his Dad about how similar they were. After a glance at their guardians, Emmet put his arm near Romeo's again. "Only we're different in colour. And I got a tail insteada legs." He pointed at his scaley lower half, and completely forgot about his lack of a nose, or the thin forked tongue of his that he used to taste and smell the air...or the fact he didn't have whites to his eyes. They were similar, damnit!
Riley couldn't help but chuckle at the conclusion that the boys came to. Similar, right. "I can definitely see it." He lied, though he did so with a smile; little boys were amusing, no matter what their DNA was mingled with. "So...are you two twins going swimming, or what?"
"Yeah Romeo, lets go swimming!" Emmet suddenly piped up, tugging lightly on the little cow's arm.

"Okay!" Romeo said smiling at Riley and Marco before following Emmet to the pool. He didn't bother using the latter to get in, like most children he jumped right in doing a cannon ball splashing water on the side of the pool.
When he resurfaced he smiled and looked over to Emmet. The little cow was so glad that he had a friend come over. Emmet was lots of fun, and he was nice too. He already knew tonight would be lots of fun.
Marco laughed a little at the boys. He was glad to see Romeo so active and social around another child. Usually around other kids he tended to be quiet, he never approached other kids, that was for sure, "They are quite adorable aren't they?" He said keeping an eye on the boys.

Emmet watched Romeo jump and cannonball in to the pool, and had to admit he was jealous. He could climb, he could swim, he could lunge...but he couldn't jump. He pondered how to mimick Romeo's way cool entry, and after a moment or two he started to slither back and away from the pool itself. It was then he curled himself into a tight little ball, his tail coiled around him securely. He rocked back and forth a bit, until he had enough momentum to be able to roll forwards on his own, and kept it up as his momentum built and the pool got closer; eventually he flew off of the edge and landed into the water in probably the closest rendition to an actual cannonball than any other kid his age could pull off.
Of course his splash wasn't as wide as Romeo's, he didn't have the height to make it that impressive...but it worked!
While underwater he uncoiled himself, swimming back to the surface without much difficulty; he broke the surface laughing, his thin blue hair matted wet to his white face. "Yours was much cooler!" He grinned at Romeo, shaking his head before giving a flick of his tail to send himself sailing towards his friend, splashing at him once.
Riley had leaned over to literally sit on the edge of his seat while Emmet curled self into a ball and tried to mimick Romeo in the best way he could. He didn't think that the boy was able to do that! Eventually he turned back to Marco, when Emmet was in the water and playing with Romeo. "Adorable." He agreed.

"No, yours was awesome! You looked like a real cannon ball." Romeo said impressed with Emmet. Once the splashing started though Romeo grinned returning the favor. Their movement in the pool would limited from the water wings but it was still more than enough fun for two little boys.
Romeo paddled to the other side of the pool to grab two pool noodles, "Here Emmet." Romeo said sending one the snakes way. He lunged onto his, resting his belly on the noodle and stretching his arms out in front of him as he kicked his feet, "Look Emmet, I'm Superman!" He said looking back to Emmet with a smile.
Marco laughed a little at the boys, they seemed to be getting along so well together, it was so great, "Riley, would you like to stay for dinner? I'll be starting to cook it soon, and you are more than welcome to stay." He offered looking down at his watch figuring once the boys were done swimming he should start on dinner.

Emmet really wanted to get his water wings off, no matter how cool they were...but he couldn't take them off, it was a rule and if it was one thing that Riley taught him, it was that rules had to be obeyed. He tread water with his long tail curling and twisting underneath him as he watched his friend get the noodles. He grabbed his when it got to him, draping over it while he watched Romeo play Superman. Emmet let out a high pitched laugh, letting go of the pool noodle for a moment.
"Cool! Look Romeo, I'm a shark!" Taking a deep breath he closed his lips tightly and dunked his head into the water so he was floating face down, one hand coming up to form a makeshift fin on the top of his head and using his tail to push himself through the water. After a moment he surfaced again, grinning like a fool and loving it. "I can be the Loch Ness monster, too!" He giggled, pointing back at his tail. The very end had been lifted and the rest had been buckled, making his white scaled hide look somewhat similar to the blurry pictures of the monster.
"Dinner sounds great, actually...if you don't mind my staying." His eyes were still on the boys, and more on Emmet than anything; the kid could laugh. The military man had no idea that sound could even come out of him! It was impressive, if not amazing to hear. He kind of wished Emmet would do it more often.

Romeo laughed as Emmet started to play shark and Loch Ness monster, "Oh no, it's gonna eat me!" He said giggling as he tried to paddle away from Emmet playing along with him. It was fun to have some one in the pool that liked playing with him.
The cow boy was not nearly as good a swimmer as Emmet was, the snake had him beat. Though Romeo didn't seem to notice Emmet's great swimming skills.
"Not at all." Marco said with a smile, "Is cheese mostachioli alright with you?" Marco asked having gotten all of the ingredients for home made mostachioli he hoped it wouldn't be a problem.

Snakes were always great swimmers; the only thing Emmet had a real problem with was getting in and out of the pool, and holding his breath...and of course getting tired. He was a good swimmer, but he was still a little boy.
The little leucistic laughed the high pitched laugh of a small child before taking a breath and putting his head back under water to swim after his friend, his hand back over his head. He lifted his head up once to take a breath and to see where Romeo was...and of course when he did he pushed forward through the water and grabbed one of his friend's ankles. "Gottcha!" He giggled out.
"No, that sounds good to me, actually." Riley looked away from the boys while they played with eachother, instead turning his attention to Marco. "Did you want any help making it?" It would make him feel awkward if Marco did everything...Riley had to ask.

"Oh no! The shark got me!" Romeo said falling off of his noodle and laughing at their make-believe game. Romeo pretended like he was being eaten by a shark before resurfacing and laughing more smiling at Emmet. Clay and Dei never wanted to play pool games like that with him.
"No that is alright, though I think I should get going on making it. Would you mind watching the boys while I go put the noodles on the stove?" Marco asked Riley as he stood up. His kitchen wasn't very large, the dining room and kitchen were both conjoined, the dining area being the larger of the two. It could be quite difficult moving around in the kitchen portion with more than one person in there.

Emmet gave a hiss that was probably what he thought a shark would make, swimming under the water with Romeo just because he could, resurfacing just after his friend did. He was giggling as he took to swimming around Romeo, gliding along just under the surface with his tail, his head just above the water along with his arms, which were really only up high because of the water wings. "Have you ever heard of Marco Polo?" He asked excitedly.
"Ah, okay. Go ahead I don't mind watching them." The Military man smiled, leaning back in his chair. His head and gaze turned towards the boys, but whether or not he was actually watching, and not in deep thought, was up for debate.

"Yeah!" Romeo replied just as excited as his friend, "You wanna play?" He asked with a smile. His dad taught them Marco Polo, the kids thought it was pretty funny because their dad's name is Marco so they always had a riot when he played with them. Romeo floated as Emmet decided to swim around him, the cowlet wasn't a great swimmer so he could appreciate Emmet for being one, "You swim really good!" He said noticing how easily Emmet glided around him.
"Thank you." Marco said with a smile before heading off back to the house. He had made the dish many times before so he had the recipe memorized, he boiled the water, put the noodles in, got out the cooking pan, dusted it in flour, the works. He was even making fresh home made tomato sauce from real tomatoes.

"Yeah, I wanna play! I'll be it, too!" Emmet offered energetically, rubbing at his own hair. When Romeo complimented his swimming, Emmet looked both proud for the praise and embarassed because it was pointed out. "Ah..thank you! Its fun." After that, he closed his eyes and put his white hands over them to make sure he couldn't peek. He called out suddenly.
Riley sat in silence, watching them.

"Polo!" Romeo said with a giggle after he swam a ways away from Emmet. The cowlet seemed to be enjoying the game thoroughly, though it probably wouldn't take Emmet to long to catch him. He tried his best though, dodging out of Emmet's way, though his swimming skills were not good enough to elude him for too long.
After a while Marco opened the back door and came out with a couple of towels and laid them on the lawn chair he had been sitting in, "Okay you two, ten more minutes until you have to dry off, dinner's going to be done soon." He said smiling at the boys.
"I made enough for Emmet too just in case he decides that he is a little hungry, it should be ready in about fifteen minutes, would you mind drying the boys off when they get out? I can't let the sauce sit for too long." He asked Riley.
