Ignorance is merely lack of information. We're all here to alleviate that state in ourselves & each other. And be somewhat silly. mrgreen

Eirwyn Ignorance is merely lack of information. We're all here to alleviate that state in ourselves & each other. And be somewhat silly. mrgreen Actually there are two different types of ignorance.. I will call them Passive and Aggressive. Passive is where you just don't know, and aggressive is where you willfully ignore the facts. In ether case the people around the ignorant party have no right to be "sick" of them.. or degrade them or stomp on them or "pwn" them... etc.... Alleviating ignorance is one thing.. rudeness is another. Repeat after me everybody "stoicism is your friend"

This year, there was a Doctor Who one. The scene, however, was only on the BBC website for a very short time. And maybe "sick" was the wrong word to use. I just get really annoyed when people spread rumours like this because I feel that they are wishing away the best Doctor we've had. I hate rumours at the best of times!

Never goto the real doctor who forums then.. the official ones.. they love spreading rumors, mostly because the sun publishes them as true. Its easy to get annoyed. Especially by stupid things, like stubbing your toe. However, to show ones agitation over such small things is crass and tends to be rude. Look at it on the other side, maybe someone gets irritated with something you do and take for granted that it is alright. Be slightly patient, it helps, I know cuz I've been there too. I've lost track of the number of times I've been irritated at people.. just being people. *also sits on a Vulcan meditation stone* I want to goto that kind of prom!

I came from the SciFi forum & I don't wanna go back. :XP: Rhi's been back since I have & she said it's gotten even worse, since most of the original, knowledgeable users got fed up & left. I was one of the first 50 users on the SciFi DW forum, & back then it was fun & cool. Mods there are just plain useless, though. rolleyes
Tennantsbutterfly, did you see the cutaway scene? What was it?

Erm.. I think Katy wasn't trying to be mean about it.. it's just the Sun, of all things, publishes something saying "David Tennant is leaving" and the majority of everyone goes either "O NOEZ" or "OMGZ RLY o___o !!!!1!!"
And I figure I could handle hearing that every once in a while but I hear about it all the time, and it pops up right after we've all established that it's a rumour and that the source(s) aren't really all that reliable anyway. rolleyes
Plus David Tennant is awesome, who'd want him to leave anyway? confused
Not trying to be mean, but merely observing what's been happening for ages now. neutral
Anyways!
I agree with Eirwyn. When in doubt, be silly! razz

Oh man.. the SciFi boards are lame... I mean http://www.gallifreyone.com/ <-Outpost Gallifrey. That is the main Doctor Who board on the net. And it has been for quite some time. The professionals, hardcore nerds, and people involved in the production of Doctor Who go there to post, minus the actors... lets face it those guys don't really drive the show... they are more like the lovely chassie that is the car of the show.

Thanks Ceribri! Eirwyn Tennantsbutterfly, did you see the cutaway scene? What was it? Yeah, I saw it. Basically, the Doctor was doing some composing and a Graske turned up in the TARDIS. A portal opened, and the Doctor talked to the people in the Albert Hall. It was a very silly scene!

David isn't leaving Dr. Who.
In Britain they are taking a break from filming the series because he is doing Hamlet, but he's not leaving.
We still have episodes that have not aired here. Remember that Britain is ahead of us.

hey look i don't know if u know this yet but David Tennant is not leaving!! This pisses me off b/c no one ever listens. Hes taking a leave of absence so he can do Hamlet on tour. Now The show is going to be making movies at least three i think to help the fans. the show will be retuning in 2011. With David as the Doctor.

There will be four specials next year, two written by RTD, one co-written by RTD and Gareth Roberts and one co-written by RTD and Phil Ford, and the series will be back in 2010.
There have been no confirmations of any actors for Series Five as yet (and that includes David!)
