Shezaam smiled, wagging her tail.
"I shall never be queen, I have no need for it."
She nodded.
"I do not think Id like being an Alpha..That could prove disastrous, Im sure."
But just as she had been smiling a moment ago, she cowered underneath him as he jumped over to stand above her.
She knew why he did it, so she did not fear for her life..She knew that his dominance over her would put her in the mindset he needed her to be in..
She lowered herself, ears back, tail to the ground, and she was licking his muzzle in submission.
She wasnt an aggressive dog,and she had felt no reason to try and fight back..He clearly was dominant to her.
"Im sorry Chocolate. Its just how I feel sometimes."
She said, hoping it wasokay for her to speak.

Chocolate frowned as he saw her lower herself and tenderly nuzzled her giving her muzzle a light lick. "You shouldn't, and you shouldn't let me frighten you...I'm sorry." He muttered and lightly nudged her to get up.
"Come now princess, I know you've got fight in you, you just need to believe in yourself to let it out." He chuckled "I suppose you don't feel very intimidating, but your bright as the sun and I'm sure you could be with practice."
His warm eyes took her in and he waited until all signs of her submission were gone, he felt quite the monster for having frightened her. Maybe someday in the future he could come back, find her, help her...NO! He backed away from his own thoughts, he could never do that. If he became close to her the agony of loss would be...he shuddered. Worse, he might fear her loss so much he would bully her into the same solitary life he led, and clearly she was made for the bright and social world of the rest of their kind.

She stood up quickly, her tail still low frompractice of showing her dominance to almost all the members in her pack excluding the omegas..
She was only a rank higher than they.. and yet she was the daughter of the Alpha.
"Oh Chocolate.."
She sighed.
"I'd love to be stronger, but I am kept on a tight leash by my mother.. I think she would hate for me to stand up for myself. My brother has already been banished, for reasons I dont know.."
She wagged her tail though,and nuzzled into his neck, licking his cheek..This time as a sign of affection, over a sigh of submission.
She trusted him..She felt she could.

"You'll be old enough soon to decide for yourself if you want to stay in a pack that holds you down." He murmured softly against her ear and nuzzled her comfortingly. For a moment a wicked thought crossed his mind, to simply snatch her for himself and take her away, to show her she could be fine without her family. He berated himself for the flash of the idea though, he had suffered too much loss to tear her away from the ones she might suffer for.
"You are strong inside princess, you'll see someday." With a firm nod he moved back away from her.

Shezaam smiled, even as he pulled away.
"I hope you're right, my new friend.."
She said, her tail wagging..
The sun was setting..Meaning that night was falling, and her pack needed her now.. Her father hated her out after dark.
"Im sorry,Chocolate, but I have to go before my family comes looking for me."
She licked his cheek, bashfully smiling, and then bolted away, giving him a howl to remember her by, until they met again.
