Every kid in this country knows how to use Right-Alt wink .
biggrin

And if a Finn is abroad and only has an English keyboard, they are quite capable of converting the ä and ö -letters into ae and oe -variations. =P

Ha! If a Pole is aborad (s)he can use ą, ę and ć (oh wait, there's 8 special characters then) with no problems, still using the pure Polish language xp
Hence, we win 3nodding

You and your funny letters. We're lucky to only have two special characters. But hey, it's difficult to understand some words spellt with ae/oe, eg. äyriäinen would convert to aeyriaeinen, which is a lot of vowels for us, and not so clear to understand. xd

Our letters are not funny, they are pretty, as much as our language is wink .
In old times when mail servers, web browsers, operating systems and other such boring stuff were not so intelligent as to understand multiple character coding schemes, we simply were omitting the extra dots, hooks and lines wiritng for example oszczednosc instead of oszczędność or zlosc instead of złość *hopes your web browsers are intelligent enough to show it correctly to you*

I think Polish is an interesting language just like Russian. How did you find the Finnish language? Since you said you've been here once. smile

And yes, my browser showed your words. biggrin I think the only languages you have to get a programme for to show them are Asian languages (Japanese, Chinese etc.). Otherwise the browser shows the words as squares. O.o

Well, Polish and Russian are from the same group. Russian sounds sometimes a little funny to us, though we're quite used to that anyway, since all people after 30 had some contact with Russian in their lives (soviets made us learn Russian at school).

Finnish sounds a bit strange. But... Olen teide opiskelija wink (I'm not, of course, hell, I can't draw at all - and please forgive the spelling). I knew the numbers quite well, which was quite crucial. But I don't anymore. I was in Finland at the times when you sdtill used marks to pay at stores.

And yes, for Asian languages you need to download character coding extensions for your browsers.

Just like the Swedes made it mandatory for us to learn Swedish at school. (Finland was under the Swedish kingdom back in the olden days, then Russia took us and then we became independent.) The government overruled the law just I think 3-4 years ago. But I think it was a good thing to learn other languages than just English at school, and with Swedish you can sort of understand Norwegian as well.

You got that sentance almost right, it's taide. I liked the FinMark, I want it back, the Euro made everything super expensive. sad

I knew it should be with a instead of e wink .
Euro is fine, I'm already looking forward to its introduction to Poland. Although Polish zloty (PLN) seems to be extremely strong these days. Enough to say that when I was getting mortgage some 32 months ago 1 CHF (Swiss frank) was worth some 2.6-2.7 PLN. Now 1CHF < 2 PLN. My mortgage rate is 200-250 PLN less than expected at the time of signing the contract (that's some 80 euros or so) biggrin .

Anyway, the marks I earned abusing your poor compatriots were enough to buy me a leather jacket and a trip to Berlin.

You Mexicans had to import your language actually. I'm not quite sure whether that means you pwn wink .

Anyway, if you're talking about the special characters... then the Kaszubski language pwns (Kaszubski is the language of the region of Poland named Kaszuby, and my father speaks it, and my mother actually can also write it. I only understand it. Neverthelles, I was born and raised there and my hometown is still there.). Here you go - the alphabet:
Aa Ąą Ãã Bb Cc Dd Ee Éé Ëë Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Łł
Mm Nn Ńń Oo Òò Óó Ôô Pp Rr Ss Tt Uu Ùù Ww Yy Zz Żż

The only bad thing about it is that he is dead. If organisations like that must exist, it's best of they're lead by one of your compatriots wink .

And let's not call him out again, because as much as I dislike the catholic church as an organisation and the catholic philosophy towards certain things, I had a big respect towards this guy. Like every Poles actually, no matter what.

You would hit a woman?

Mexico is on my white list to visit one day.

And btw. We actually had to export a bit more than just the pope for the rescue of others. We had to export our generals to US to help them win their independence, and then we had to export our pilots to UK to save them from Hitler's invasion. I only wonder why we always kept importing Russians and Germans to our country... neutral
