She made a face then turned away. "That's not funny." She said completely serious. It wasn't her fault that most of the time when she landed it was more of crashing. No one ever taught her to land.
Dark started to laugh and attempted to stifle it only after his daughter glared at him. "Still can't land huh?" He asked clearly teasing her.
Carmine frowned then trotted off, pouting. "Stop makin fun of me." Her footsteps were slowly becoming harder. It was right for them to be picking on her right now. She was happy but it wasn't exactly easy carrying foals in your belly.
Dark smiled and shook his head as she walked off in a mini storm of emotions. It wasn't surprising to him at all. On a normal day a mare could go through a whirlwind of emotions and when they were pregnant it was worse. "Gonna go after her?" He asked Tavarii tilting his head slightly to the side to look at the sparkly stallion. It wasn't his job to go after her right now, besides, he wanted to see how well the young one could handle things.

"I--" but the words were bit back at the half-possessed look she shot him. Oops, his bad... Ears flicked back, then up again at Dark's words, though he chose not to protect her this time.
It was true...she was a stumbly lander.
"She's definitely a pregnant mare," he murmured to his girlfriend's father. Merl was bitchier and bitchier with every passing day and it never let up. He just had to learn how to word his sentences right. "Yeah."
"...Carmine, wait!" he whinnied, leaving Dark behind in a cloud of dust as he trotted after her, his neck low and ears perked forwards.

An amused smirk spread onto his face as the thief followed idly after Tavarii. He was quick to act, or at least it seemed that way. He did wonder just how well this would turn out. After dealing with his daughter for the last few days he was beginning to seem every bit as unstable as her 'uncle'. That of course meant that there were three possible outcomes at this time. The first being that Carmine would settle down and go back to being her old self. The second would promise Tavarii a long chase and the third. Dark's smirk faded. The third would likely end with him going after his fat daughter. He hoped this wasn't a third scenario case.
Carmine looked over her shoulder as her boy friend's voice reached her ears. She gave him a cold look before tossing her head like a petulant child. "Go away ya jerk!" She snapped picking up her pace a little bit.
She wasn't waiting for anyone until she got a decent apology out of both of them. "First they fight like a buncha kids then they tease me like a buncha kids so that makes em a buncha kids an they're both jerks..." She muttered under her breath not noticing how her wings were jerking every time she stressed a word.

He couldn't see Dark's smirk, but inside he knew it was there and it made his skin twitch under his thin pelt. How was Tavarii supposed to know mares went psycho when they were pregnant? You spend a little close time with the girlie and a few months later she wants to rip your head off? Not fun.
And Carmine would probably get worse than his sister because she was more highstrung than Merlei, temperwise. It was something the stallion found endearing.
Jerk? He let out a snort as she speeded up, her stomach swaying gently. Tav hoped she wasn't planning on trying to fly...that might end up terrible.
Thinking if he went any fast than her that she'd get mad at him for being able to -go- that fast, he only sped up as much as she did, flicking his tail as his trot lengthened. "Just lemme talk for a moment, Angel!"

It was like a poorly timed dance where the girl was in the lead. The entire thing was rather funny to watch. It was even more so because neither of them seemed to be thinking clearly. Though for Carmine's sake and his own he hoped that her wings were simply a sign of irritation and not her making preparations to take to the sky.
He couldn't stop a full grown mare from falling, especially not a full grown one.
"You're talkin ain't ya?" She snapped taking note that he was matching pace with her again. It was pissing her off and she didn't know why which was only making things worse.
She wanted to be alone right now and more then anything she wanted to be able to fly. She hated being stuck on the ground. Travel took far too long and she was far too easy to catch. "Some thief I make..." She grumbled. Her brown eyes focused on the ground in front of her for a moment before she finally started to slow. She was getting no where fast and it was just wearing her out.

Well..yes, he was talking. But he needed to talk with her face to face. His gait was a lopsided one, trying to figure out what his girlfriend was doing, what she was deciding. If she took to the air, he was screwed.
"Carmine..."
As the mare slowed, he dropped back to an amble, then stopped completely, waiting for her to look at him. He knew there would be anger in her eyes and he hated to see her mad. He wanted his jovial Carmine back... Which would come in time.

Dark stopped a good distance back having no intentions of getting his head chewed off by his daughter. It wasn't his fault she was upset in the first place. He had done his part in teasing her but the reason she was angry was because she was pregnant. And there was no way in hell he was to blame for that. The thought alone made him feel unbelievable sick.
"Yes?" She said with a hint of poison laced in her voice. If he wanted to talk with her so badly why didn't he simply open his mouth and say what he was going to say. For a few moments she was still before she turned about in a whirlwind of fury. "Why do ya keep waitin huh?!" She demanded taking a step forward.
He couldn't help but laugh at the look on Carmine's face. She looked like she did whenever he took something away from her when she was a foal. He couldn't help it.
Carmine twitched hearing her dad laughing. "It's not funny! Stop laughin at me ya stupid ol' man!"

He ignored the fact that Dark was several yards behind him. Ears perked up as she stopped, anger immanent in her voice.
He opened his mouth to speak just as she spun on him. His nostrils flared and he took a step backwards, uncertain. Easy there, Tav. It's the hormone's talking...
"Carmine, I'm sorry," he murmured, moving a few paces up to her but not touching her. "I wasn't trying to make ya mad... I know I did, but I'm sorry. What can I do?"

She blinked and stared at him for a moment. She was surprised in an almost conflicting way. She was surprised that it took him so long to apologize and was equally surprised that he got it so fast. In a flash she had her usual smile back on her face. "Okay. You're forgiven." She said with a happy bob of her head. "But...I want an apple...I'm hungry."
Dark let out a sigh of relief and made his way forward. That was easier then he had expected and was not really any of the things he had expected. He opened his mouth to say something along the lines of 'glad your back to normal' but the look his daughter was giving him shut him up.
"You! Go back t'where ever ya were hidin!" She snapped glaring at her father. Tavarii was forgiven her dad hadn't apologized or really shown any signs that he intended to. There was no way he was going to benefit from what her goof did.

He wasn't sure why he hadn't run after her like a colt, screaming "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" from the get go. Perhaps it was a mixture of pride...or perhaps it was the fact that he refused to embarrass himself further in front of her father. Maybe if Dark hadn't been here, he would have.
"An apple?" he grinned. "Sure thing!"
And with a nudge to her wing, he took off in search of a big, juicy red apple, leaving Carmine and Dark alone.

She smiled at him. "Good. Make sure itsa big one!" She called after him. Big apples were always the sweetest and also, she was really hungry. The moment he was gone she rounded on her dad again. "You're not off the hook!" She snapped looking about like she was going to bite him.
Dark looked and was shocked. "How come you let him off so easily then?" He asked looking to where her boy had vanished. He got no answer from her. Just a harsh look that seemed to intensify with every second. "What?" Again there was no answer and Dark was beginning to get annoyed. "I'm guessing you want me to say 'I'm sorry'..." He stared right back at her and shook his head.
"Why not?" She demanded. "Ya were a big jerk and I want ya t'admit it!"
The two stared at each other for a long time. Neither moving except for the occasional twitch of a wing or a flick of an ear. Finally Dark moved.
"Alright, I'm sorry...just stop actin like Luna already."
Carmine beamed and nodded her head. "Apology accepted! Now where's my goof and my apple?"

A really big apple! Got it!
The violet stallion took off at a lope, sniffing and snorting the air for the sweet scent of fruit.
He left Carmine with her dad for a long while, finally finding the biggest, juiciest apple up in the highest possible tree.
He hesitated, gazing between one apple a little bit smaller and then the biggest apple. He could reach the first... But the second might prove tricky...
No. Carmine deserved the best!
So he centered himself, spreading his legs to give him balance, then arching back up on his hind legs. Forehooves touched the tree's base, neck stretching forward to grab the pretty red apple.
With a toss of his head, the apple secure in his jaws, he took off at a gallop to find his angel.

Dark shook his head. It was that easy to calm her down and shut her up. She was a weird kid and Krad would likely say that it was his fault that she was that way. He would have told him to shut up.
"So...this was all ya brought me out here for?" He asked relaxing his posture further. Sure it was great meeting the father of his grandchildren. The sarcasm in it was thick even though it was his inner voice. He imagined saying it like that would provoke another angry moment from Carmine so he kept it inside.
"Yeah." She said with a happy bob of her head. She hadn't missed the bored tone in his voice but she was ignoring it. She had a feeling she knew exactly where this was going and she didn't like it. "And no...I'm not leavin. Goof's gonna come lookin for me and I ain't leavin til he gets back."
It was almost scary how she seemed to read his mind. He sighed again but gave. "Alright but when he gets back we go...like it or not there's someone else that needs to know." He got no answer.

And come looking he did. With his neck arched and his legs brought up like a prancing parade horse, he loped around the bend to skid to a stop beside Carmine. Head tilted, he offered the apple as if it were a precious diamond.
"For you!" he mumbled around the fruit. "Where we headed next?"
After she'd taken the apple, he brushed his muzzle against her swollen belly and took time to nibble on the silky black feathers resting at her sides. Soon his angel would take to the skies again!
And perhaps one or two of their children would as well...

Carmine's wings fluttered as her boy showed up almost as though on cue. A large grin spread across her face as she saw the rather tasty looking apple he was carrying. "You're the best goof!" She said taking the apple happily. Within a few seconds she had bitten of a large chunk.
Dark didn't give his daughter any time to think before he took the chance to answer for her. "To the village." He said stepping forward looking completely serious. "There's someone else who needs to know about what's happened. Right, carmine?"
He turned to look at his daughter who had stopped eating even though she had half an apple left. Not what she wanted to hear he was sure but it was necessary. This wouldn't stay a secret for long and when they found out his head was on the line, not hers.
She frowned. She didn't want to go. She was happy where she was. "Go if ya want dad...I'm stayin with Tavarii." She muttered before taking another bite from the apple.
