I've been stuck for months on the serpent and the rainbow. It's an ethnobotonist's account of finding how zombies are made in Haiti. It's interesting I just haven't had the time to finish reading it.
neutral I really should finish it.

I have been reading Jean Auel's Earths Children Series (Clan of the Cave Bear, The Valley of the Horses, The Mammoth Hunters, Plains of Passage and Shelters of Stone.) Great books not only for reading, but also for referencing herbal information. Of course I cross reference all my herbal inforamtion.
I have also read Eagle Vision: Return of the Hoop by Ed 'Eagleman' Mcgaa. Good native american story.
I also have a lot of Stephen King too. I collect his books.

I switch from chick lit to teen fantasy to regular fantasy and sci-fi.
RIght now I'm finishing up Seeing Redd (part two of The Looking Glass Wars) by Frank Beddor. It's a different take on Alice in Wonderland. It's pretty good. I like the whole darker spin on Wonderland. But the second book got a little weak, reads like a movie almost.
I also love craft books, girly health books and green books. And at the library I love getting just those random books that strike my fancy.
You know...I have yet to read Twilight. I want to check out at the library, but there's over 200 requests for it all ready. I know it's going to be cheesy, but sometimes that's good! whee

Generally I go for fantasy/sci-fi, then historical fiction, classics (mostly Austen and Shakespeare), with a few general fiction, biographies and chick-lit for a change.
