"Hehe." Akai couldn't help but giggle a bit at the whole situation. Obviously they were both being a little awkward around one another, but that was only because a big decision had been made! Now they just needed to actually work it out with the higher ups on Wacheza's pride....scary. Akai was never very good with things that scared her, but she was going to have to do this, and she was sure that she could.
"All right. Maybe we can focus on spending some time together while you tell me more about the sea, and we can find your leaders later?" Granted, Akai didn't want to rush off towards them. She wanted to seem mature, like she had thought it through and wanted to do it. She was not a cub anymore, but still had to transition her mind out of that sort of thinking.
She picked herself up, padding off towards the shore where the water danced across the wet sand. She gingerly stepped onto the wet sand, letting her toes get used to the weird feeling. Bracing herself for the water that was sure to rush over her toes, Akai scrunched her face up. Oooh, water! It was pleseant for drinking, but not really for much else. She'd get used to it though. Especially if she wanted to live right next to it. Too bad the volume couldn't be turned down on the waves, eh?

Wacheza gave his own chuckle before he moved up beside Akai and looked out at the sea, feeling his toes in the sand. A feeling he had always enjoyed rather thoroughly. Though... he never really liked to go too much deeper. He was, after all, at heart, a cat. No matter how big he was.
"I hope we can spend lots of time together." Wacheza agreed happily, "And I'm sure we'll be able to find the leaders around." He smiled, still very excited, though he was more calm now. He could hardley wait until Akai lived with him... forever. She had said so. She most certainly wasn't the only one thinking like a cub again.
"I wouldn't worry." He told her, making a promise, "I'll watch out for you. My mom and dad... they're well-liked here, and so am I. I'm sure they'll like you too. After all, what's not to like." He offered, "If the butterflies like you, then who couldn't?"

Akai side stepped a bit, just enough so that she could nudge Wacheza in the shoulder. She couldn't help but want to tease him a bit, and then it also gave her a good excuse to be able to tough him too. Ugh! She was so confused about everything. Maybe they should go find the leader now...but then she'd have to face everything so quickly, and she wasn't sure that she was ready for it. Being an adult was hard business!
"I'm glad," she said softly, watching the waves as they crashed against the water, as well as the sand. Everything seemed so peaceful here, almost like she could get swallowed up into it. Not caring about anything but happiness and peace. It was nice. It would be good being with Wacheza instead of on her own.
She glanced over at him, her red eyes sparkling with a bit of laughter. She was always humored by the swarm of butterflies that seemed to envelop him. She also knew that the more time she spent with him, she was sure to get enveloped in them as well. "I'd like you to watch over me. I'll do the same for you, the best that I can."
