I had a Point to make on Dem-gods They are yes Imortal Yes have extream powers that may be considered to rival those of the gods but that do not have divine powers Such as Gods of death for example they are demi-gods and can be killed God how ever can only be killed for a certain time and can comeback or be sealed away so really a drow who was a powerful enough mage could be considered a demi-god since they are already immortal. I though if your playing someone that powerful though your character shoulds need to me approved or something.

I think I understand what your saying and honestly.. yes, a very powerful character would for all effects be a demi-god. Val'atar could for example make a Demi-God claim if you go by D&D standards. I think a few others might be close to that level as well.. but most people who have ascended have done so by choice and RP only.. not because of actual power.

i'm certainly in no position to be a deity. >.> 22 ECL, not even epic character level... i'm only that from being a drow and a vampire...

Well either way, those of us who are of Demi-God level.. are so because we use the D&D rules. Alot of the folks in this guild don't use them and honestly prolly dont even know them. So we may have to sort out things before to long.. specially when one person who is a renowned assassin tries to kill the 19th level cleric who is going by D&D rules and says that the assassin's death strike ability isnt real and doesnt work on her because she's a cleric of a death Goddess or whatever. Leads to alot of issues down the road ya know?

True that right there is one of the reasons i put in for godhood actually i was using one of my former D&D characters thats been around for like 3 years and is now ecl 70+, and no one really likes that. epic level hand book, deities and demigods, fiend folio, you name it we used it on this one, (plz dont debate me on this or send me pms about it if its just trashing it, I assure you i got it to that ecl through legal D&D means)

yeah, i see what your saying there. still, i am not THAT powerfull, and i know so! xd i can hold my own if i need to against many different kinds of foes, but i don't bother to. i prefer not to get into a fight and make enemies. only if i would be able to make an enemy go away for good without drawing any attention to myself would i even bother. other than that i go the cowards way and hid in my fortress. ninja seige is my strength, not combat. i know how to invade, and how to not get invaded.

Demi-gods have no real DP since they can't grant power to very many clerics and have porfolios already under the control of other more powerful gods...

These are all issues we're going to eventually hopefully tackle. Things have gone a long way from where I was thinking they were gonna go for dealing with gods (that is, I anticipated something simple).

Alot of you are in the mind that D&D should be the basis for gods (though the core books have alot of options that may or may not be used). I've done some research, but am not ready to offer suggestions yet.

Keeping in line with Valatar's original idea, I'm thinking using a basis of the D&D core books (not 4th ed. of course) would probably be useful in dealing with things like Portfolios and follower granted spells/powers (as Chemosh mentions).

I see no place in this forum to ask questions...so I thought here would be the most unobtrusive place.

I see someone--*glare*--has already attempted to pose for my magnificence. Obviously I am contending for the position...of my name.... I wished to ask how one would go about...ousting an impostor....

And I say impostor with the fondest of feeling! ^_^
