l -Xera- l The Dark tangocat777 Drinky McIrish tangocat777 Drinky McIrish Solus Canis Lupus Well, the PlayStation brand is doomed now. It was fun while it lasted....I don't see the PS4 happening at all now. My favorite brand is pretty much dead now... confused Guys, freakin' chill. This was M$'s day. Of course they'll look good now. No kidding, I'm honestly not at all surprised that XIII is getting a port, Squeenix being the pus-sucking money grubbers they are would undoubtedly try to aim for the bulk of the market... What's amazing to me is that it's going to be PS3 only in Japan... Goes to show how little Squeenix really cares about the 360 if you were to ask me, they'll deny the game to their nations 360 owners... All 600,000 of them... I think they care for the 360, just not the owners. So, guys. Wanna see what Nintendo has up their sleeves? Wait no more? Just like that, I am hoarding all my damns and not giving any for this topic. *Bonks* They have a new Wario game. Looks coooollllll. And Capt RAINBOW. THAT'S RIGHT. TINGLE CITY. They have good crack Nintendo has. Sony will come back strong. :3 You cannot defeat my bonking skillz.

At first it was like a slap in the face to Sony, now it's like a slap in the face to Microsoft.
It's like Microsoft is trying so hard to be the cool kid (by stealing exclusives) but only getting half of the deal.

You're taking it too seriously. @Canis: I hope you're being sarcastic. confused You can't tell me the Playstation brand needed FF to exist. No one game is so big that it's losing exclusivity basically crumbles the brand. A brand shouldn't but such weight and importance onto a game that isn't first party. Reason being, There was always a chance that someday they'd release it on more than one console or on another console entirely. It isn't Playstation's only important game. People will come to see that Playstation didn't the series in order to survive. Fans still get to play the game on Playstation so they shouldn't be as pissed as they are. I know I lack sympathy in exclusivity issues but that's because I only cared out if I can play a game not if someone else can too.

I don't even like Final Fantasy...but this is a huge loss in my opinion. I don't have a problem that other people can play it. In fact, I'm more inclined to agree with you that 3rd parties need to go multiplatform more. It's just a huge game like FF to me would seem to carry a lot of weight in influencing the community greatly. What are people going to think when they can get the same big game that's on one console on a cheaper console? I'd certainly feel screwed if I was one of those people that purchased a PS3 just for FF XIII (which I didn't), and now it seems all over the internet I see a lot of people going "I'm selling my PS3 now." I just think it hurts the PS3 the most in this case. So what? MS wants a big game on their console. That's completely fair. I can't argue with that, but they did it in a way where it seems they're intentionally trying to murder Sony in the gaming division. Why not announce both games multiplatform since the beginning? I don't know whether MS came to SE or SE came to MS, but one thing is for sure: this deal was recent. What do you think carries more weight? Announcing a huge game for two consoles at once? Or announcing a huge game for the more expensive console first, and then going "HA HA, now on our cheaper console?" If it was multiplatform at the beginning I wouldn't have a problem, but it honestly seems like MS is lashing out a blow at Sony intentionally.

FF is probably going to hurt Sony a lot, BUT, there are still a few other exclusives left in Sony's arsenol. Such as: Killzone 2 Resistance 2 God of War 3 Kingdom Hearts 3 GoW and KH are two pretty big titles. And I'm expecting a lot out of Killzone 2. And Kojima is still exclusive to Sony so any games he'll make will belong to the PS3. & Wak, exclusive titles are hugely important. Let's face it, most of the games on the PS3 are also on the 360. If they don't get many exlcusive titles that are awesome games, then why buy the PS3 when the 360 has a lot of the same titles and is cheaper?
