"Looks like someone likes you." Darkmist purred. She heard Flashkit's squeak, and reached out with her other paw to fetch him.
Ravenkit crawled up to his brother. "Mew!" he almost laughed in amusement. Their parents didn't sound any different from usual. He batted at Flashkit's tail.

Crescentkit smiled and mewled, rolling around in front of Teardrop. "Mew mew!" Once finished with her little introduction she crawled back to her siblings, pawing at Flashkit gently, still not learning her lesson.

Larksparrow paused at the threshold of the nursery, pondering on if she should pay a visit to the kits. Darkmist and she weren't on bad terms, but she'd have to step carefully in order to not upset the new mother during this important time. Still, the was a medicine cat's duty to check on the kits, and she finally slipped inside.
Her ears quivered as they caught the sound of kits mewling in the semi darkness, and she slowed as she got closer in order to avoid startling them.
"How are you feeling, Darkmist?" she mewed.

((Timejump! The kits have grown, and so, let's make 'em talk! 8D This is before Crescentkit became mute. ^^))  Ravenkit had just finished his first snake. Who knew something so scary could taste so good? He pushed away what remained, and looked around. The nursery looked the same as always; his home, all his...and his siblings. How could a cat move out of this place?

Crescentkit was batting at a mouse gleefully, her tail high and waving in the air. She was more concerned about enjoying the fun her meal could provide rather than enjoying the taste. But eventually though she grabbed the tail with ehr teeth and ate it.

"I think I shouldn't let you play with my tail again," the young tom teased, "you might not control yourself, and I'll be tailless!" He loved his sister; he loved his whole family. But Crescentkit had clung to him enough to make him more likely to pick her as a 'favorite'.

Crescentkit giggled and rolled onto her back, "dun worry, I'll wait until your a big strong warrior. Then I'll eat your tail, cause it'll be more meaty then," she pounced him playfully, "and less scrawny!!!"

"You cannibal!" he mewed, rolling over and batting at her muzzle. She wasn't very heavy on top of him; maybe he was too used to her weight?

She nipped his paw, "yummeh!" She kneaded at his stomach with her hind paws, "though you can't blame me! you're as squishy as a mouse!"

Ravenkit's nipped paw drew back. "Hey! I'm not squishy!" One of his hind paws tapped Crescentkit's belly. "You're as squishy as a fat rat! You didn't eat Veilkit, did you? Cannibalkit!" he purred.

Crescentkit giggled and put her paw to her dimples, or at least where they would be, "no.~ I'm squishy cause I'm cuuuttteeeee!!!" She hugged herself, "you squishy cause... you ugleh and fat." She teased with a smirk before running away.

He wasn't hungry, so had resorted to sulking in a corner of the nursery. Flashkit usually sulked at a corner, and felt it was much more comfortable instead of his mother's warm pelt. Or his brothers and sisters. But he didn't like them much. Being the only one with blue eyes Flashkit felt a bit outcasted, and he was the runt, so there were other reasons for his actions.

Crescentkit blinked, "Raavveeeennnkiiittttt~! Of course my kidding!!!" She poked his face, "you're almost as cute as me~! And that's a pretty good accomplishment!" She pouted, not liking to see her brother like this, I mean, in her view how Flashkit acted was bad enough.
