I cast her a look. "What do you mean?" I asked. I sat on the edge of the lake again, not putting my feet in this time. Instead, I reached for my socks and pulled them on, followed by a pair of black leather boots that came up to about mid-calf. I pulled my white skirt down over them, and drew my legs up against me, hugging them.

I sat down and sighed, causing the water to play in swirls in front of us. My wings twitched again and i closed my eyes. My white tank top made me look paler and the torn baggy blue jeans hung loosely around my waist. I was wearing a pair of converse shoes. I felt lazy this morning and went with what was on my floor. "I don't belong in the Unseelie Court. and the others are starting to catch on."

I snorted and shook my head. "You're not alone," I said. I trusted this girl for simply saying that. Which was a mistake. Someone could be using her to lure me into a false sense of security, then strike. Then again, I knew how to defend myself. The knife under my skirt spoke for itself. "I'm the queen's ex-assassin," I said before I could stop myself. "I quit, and people hate me for not being executed. But I quit because I don't want to be here. I'm trying to figure out how to get into the Seelie court, but I don't know how." I sighed. "I think I heard once there's some sex ritual, but I'm not whoring myself out."

I chuckled slightly, I was rather sexual, i had always thought a good sexuall appetite was god for me. "Wow, That is a big deal. My parents raised me in hopes to be The prince's choice in a bride. I can't stand him. He's too cocky and thinks he's our gift from god."

I chuckled darkly. "Cocky isn't the word I'd choose." Of course I knew the prince. I knew him rather... intimately. "And speaking of c**ky, you'd be disappointed... greatly." For part sidhe, he was rather... lacking.

"I figured as much, I can usualy size them up if I get close enough." I had been forced on occasion to dance with him at certain gatherings. I continued to cause the water to dance around us without even getting us wet.

I watched as the water floated in the air around us, not quite amazed by the fact this girl could manipulate it, but at the beauty itself. "Is that your Hand?" I asked, nodding to the water flowing around us.

Keary sat back to back with himself, his earth aspect smiling and looking forward as he guided their perch over the ground with arms outstretched. His fire aspect scowled at the dust trail they left behind them, arms crossed over his chest. "I am bored." Both mouths speak as one. "This is no longer any fun." Keary heard a croaking sound and turned a scowling face toward it. He took in a lungful of air before breathing fire on the first toad he saw in the foliage. A direct hit! The rock stopped its forward momentum for Keary to watch with both pairs of eyes.
"Ah, stupid thing... it keeps hopping around. The fire is spreading!" Now a large fire would be more fun, but it would draw attention. Keary was in no mood to be lectured just yet. His earth aspect raised an arm and balled his hand into a fist. Earth rose up and curled in around the fire, smothering it and crushing the toad. Both of Keary rose to their feet and hopped down from the rock, moving closer to survey the damage.

I nodded with a simple smile. content and happy until i saw the murderous fire death of a harmless toad. I stood, looking at the two boys, twins, presumably the root of the incident. "And what could you have possibly have gained from that?"

"Entertainment." They both replied before looking toward the source of the question. Their expressions did not change, one scowling and the other smiling, but Keary was confused. It was just a bit of fun; what was this one interrupting him for? "This annoys you. I do not understand that."

I leapt to my feet as I felt heat against my back. There was a fire. What looked like identical twins had burned a frog to a crisp. The girl I had been sitting next to was already yelling at the boys. I smirked at her bravery. I may have cared for other living things, but I wasn't going to go on a rampage because of a toad. It was then I realize... "Oh my god," I breathed. "You're one of the..." I couldn't finish my sentence. I had seen the pictures, but... I couldn't believe it until i saw it.

"One of the what?" Two pairs of eyes turn from Darcy to Rebecca. Keary did not often think of the fact that being born intercourt made him of interest to others. It did not much matter to him beyond being angry that his father was unknown to him.

"He's one of what?" I asked, and then it hit me, "Oh..." I walked up to him and circled him, and then, for good measure, I poked him, a sharp jab in the ribs. Yup, he was reall, and cute!

" And so it behooves us, brothers and sisters, to accord the treatise with the earth crushers with as much regard..."
Laoinsidhe slowly opened one eye, shifting ever so slightly on his seat to relieve the growing pressure. Ten hours of this monotonous drawling would put even the most patient of Undines into a stupor. He sighed and idly twiddled his fingers, sifting out the other-words ingrained in his fellow courtier's sermon. A trip above world was in order, he decided, once this chore was finally over. By leaf and stone, this old windbag certainly had stamina! He was putting half the court to sleep already and that was no mean feat.
"It would seem that the music of the tides affect Laoinsidhe."
He paused mid-yawn and shook his head, silver-white strands falling over and veiling his face.
"The tides drag us all into weariness but not today, Rhaynansidhe."
Their expressions never wavered but the whole court rippled from the politely delivered insult. Laoinsidhe lifted a shoulder in casual shrug, immensely relieved when her majesty took this chance to dismiss the court. He stretched to his feet and took a step when her musical voice forestalled him.
"It would please me to confer with Laoinsidhe."
He rolled his eyes and turned around, gracing the queen with a deep bow. "It would do me honor to remain in your majesty's presence." Only her attendants remained in the hall and he knelt at her feet.
"Tell me Laoinsidhe, do you take perverse pleasure in making enemies?" He smiled and shook his head. "Your Majesty gives me far too much credit; who am I to be regarded as such?" She made a sound of dissent and shifted. "What wind stirs at court my sage?" Laoinsidhe shrugged and raised his head. "The dogs remain cowed by your majesty's assertion of her authority last winter. The sheep are quiet and content. The double edged swords remain sheathed. There's nothing to fear from this pack of rats."
She raised an eyebrow and he clarified. "Rats... bottom feeding above world animals looked upon with disgust by all." Her majesty's chuckle made him smile, but her next words wiped it off his face. "The time you spend above worlds...your enemies may fuel my jealousy." Laoinsidhe stiffened and quickly recovered, bowing even lower, "My loyalty lies first and always with my queen." Her majesty's favors were as fickle as the wind; every one in her court was a potential mate and her hold was bone deep. "Nothing can compare to the wonders of your court." Mollified, she dismissed him with a pat to the head and he made a hasty escape.
Court was suddenly becoming a tad too exciting. In a trice, his courtly robes had disappeared, replaced by the strange assortment of clothes the above world dwellers called Jeans and T shirt. A black ball of the bases cap appeared over his braided hair and he pulled man wrought constructions called shades over his nose. This would allow him to blend with the children of the mud. Laoinsidhe cast a careless look around and made for his personal portal.
((Forgive the longness ^^; trying to catch up))
