Kaimi grinned back, her new friend's excitement contagious enough that the smell of flowers that surrounded her increased in potency. "Good job!" She whispered back. It was always a good thing to get what you wanted.

Another idea flashed in Ophelia's eyes as she watched her father and the surfer dude carry the board to the register. "You should come over some time!" she exclaimed. "After Levi teaches me how to surf, that is," she added quickly. "I can show you, and you can go in the ocean! Doesn't that sound fun?"

Kaimi beamed, near dancing with excitement at the prospect. "Oh, yes! I would like that! I'll ask my mom..." She hesitated, briefly wondering if her mom had figured out where she'd wandered off to or if she was instead having a fit over the dissapearance of her wayward daughter. "But I would really like that. It was good meeting you, Ophelia."

Ophelia nodded, her grin plastered to her face. "It was good to meet you, too, Kaimi!" She looked around a bit hesitantly and then ran off down the aisle of surfboards, waving goodbye as she went. "I gotta catch up with my dad!" she called."Byeeee!"
