Latté, sensing uncertainty coming from Yuri, swam closer. "Here, ride on my back," he offered softly. "You can swim when you want to."

Yuri looked up at Latte. "A-are you...ummm...sure?" She asked as he offered her his back, not wanting to ruin his fun or anything.

Latté nodded. "Of course I'm sure, Yuri." He gestured to his back. "It's not like I'm going to sink or anything with you on," he continued.

"ok... if you're sure..." Yuri said before lifting a paw to get on him. She heasitated with it in the air for a while, before placing it on his back. She jerked it back quikley, mumbling, "Soft..."

"Eh, what was that?" Latté asked as Yuri placed her paw on his back. "Puu, you're going to be a turtle at this rate," he teased lightly. He placed his own paw on hers and looked her in the eyes. "Come on," he said softly.

Yuri pouted. "I'm not a turtle," she said as she slightly puffed out her cheeks, and looked at him. She looked up at him as he placed his paw on hers and un-puffed her cheeks. "Ok..." she said as she walked onto Latte's back.

Latté slowly moved in the shallow water so Yuri wouldn't feel a single tremor. "See, it's easy, puu," he told her as they moved around the edge. "Do you want to test the water?"

Yuri looked down at the water, seeling her and Latte's reflections in the clar surface. She poked her paw in, jerking back at first, but resting it in a little mor and more, until it was completly submerged. She looked back at him, asking with her eyes if this was allowed.

Latté smiled encouragingly at Yuri. Her big eyes nearly melted his heart, and he felt a hot wave flow through his body. "Puu?" he asked, hoping Yuri understood his question about his feelings towards her.

"Puu...?" Yuri repeated before loosing her balance and tumbling off into the water. She sat up, and spit some out as she looked at Latte blankly. She felt stupid, and she didn't like it.

"Sorry!" Latté said sincerely as he rushed to help Yuri up. "I'm sorry, Yuri. I didn't mean for you to fall." He blushed, hoping that Yuri wouldn't be mad at him.

Yuri looked at Latte with obvious embarrassment on her face. "N-no... Don't be sorry... It's my... umm... fault... Yeah! My fault... Not Latte's..." She said as she fought back blushing from embarrassment.

Latté smiled as Yuri stood up. "You shouldn't blame yourself either," he said. "It was my question that caused you to fall. You should probably dry out," he observed.
Back on dry land, Latté gently licked Yuri's fur until she was completely dry. "How're you feeling?"

Yuri looked at herself and nodded. "umm... ok... dry off..." She walked over to the land of the water's edge and sat down, wondering weather to let herself dry naturally or to shake it off. Before she decided on either of them, she looked to see Latte licking herself dry. She sat there quietly until he finished, and replied to his question with a, "good..."

Latté finished licking Yuri and grinned. "Your fur tastes good," he teased. He rubbed against her side, showing it was a joke.
