Farai made faces at Lawahka in return to that - knowing he had the high ground for the moment. And he intended to keep it, thank you very much.

So when Nanako asked that question, he frowned and actually thought about it for a minute or two before answering. "Rogues that live close to where the pride does," he said confidently.

“Rogues are a good choice for a start,” Nanako agreed with a nod. Lions, after all, knew a lot about lions. Farai was also fairly confident with his answer, which was good. Though a grumbler and generally not a very likeable lion, it was nice to know that he had some sort of self-confidence. It made getting information much easier if you weren’t too shy to talk to your targets. “However there are other creatures you can ask as well. Vultures, for example, know a lot more than you might think. So do hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and anything else that lives on the savannah. They will offer you a different point of view. What do you think vultures could tell you about a pride of lions?” Nanako liked vultures very much, if only because they led her to food. They were fairly pleasant creatures as well, not too adverse to sharing so long as they didn’t get chased.

Farai frowned at that... caught up in the discussion despite himself. It was interesting somehow, even if he didn't agree with the principles behind it. Or with being forced into this sort of role against his will.

Vultures, though...what could vultures tell him..?

Oh! "Numbers," he said. "How many are in the pride, 'cause they could fly around and count."

“Yes! Very good!” Nanako praised, resisting the urge to but him in the shoulder when he got the correct answer. While among hyenas it would have been considered playful, one never knew what it meant to lions. Besides, Farai probably didn’t like being touched. That was fine though, seeing as words would be sufficient. “An aerial view of the pride can be very useful. Not only can vultures count numbers through looking, they can also count things in another way. Lawahka?”

The young hyena was quite pleased when it was her turn, and her sulking stopped so she could answer. “’cause they eat scraps, so they know how much food the pride is eating.” She shot Farai a smug look, before returning her attention to her mother.

“Precisely. The larger the group of vultures, the more lions in a pride, since the vultures feed off the kills of so many lions. I think that will be the end of today’s lesson. What we must remember is that every creature can give us a different perspective of the same thing, so we must talk to whoever we can. Class dismissed!”

Farai made a face at Lawahka but at the same time... he knew that he'd gotten more answers in. And gotten more of them right, thank you very much.

So he actually felt a bit pleased with himself at the moment. Puffing his chest out just a little, he got up and sauntered off - intending to go and hunt while he was feeling good about himself.

(( Aaand end? Thanks ^__^ Should we do another one? XD PM me if you want to~! ))
