He grinned back, "I'm glad you're not hurt. Don't be sorry. I can't say I'm glad that you fell, but I am glad to have gotten the chance to see you again." He winked at her. "Just don't go making a habit out of it. If you need some company, I'm sure I can arrange something without you having to be put into danger first."

Eidel couldn't help but laugh. "You mean you didn't enjoy playing the handsome knight coming to save the day?"

Lovell was a little surprised. Of course he had enjoyed it! But, that doesn't mean it was a good thing that she was in danger. Well, as long as he was dubbed as a handsome knight, he might as well play along. "Of course my lady," he said with a grin and a bow. "And now as your knight, I will protect you and make sure that nothing happens to you again."

Eidel fought back the urge to leap into his arms. Instead she stood and curtsied. "Well then, Sir Lovell, would you be so kind as to tell me how to get down this ravine? There are some berries down there that are calling my name."

Lovell chuckled at her request. "Of course My Lady. If we walk a little ways south, there is a part of the ravine that is not as steep. There is even a safe path that leads down into the valley." He lifted a paw to point in the direction that they needed to go. "Shall I accompany you?" he asked with a grin.

Eidel paused to look at him carefully. "If you don't mind," she said as she daintily held out her paw for him to take. She almost rolled her eyes at her own actions, but she was having too much fun to really care just how silly she was acting.

Lovell bowed to her before taking her paw. "You're wish is my command, My Lady." He grinned as he led her along to the path that led down the ravine. He was quite proud of himself, and Eidel was fun.

And so, they made their way down the ravine. Eidel caught herself looking at Lovell's antlers more than she should have been. While she was distracted by his handsomeness, she stumbled. Since when had she become so clumsy?

Lovell was grinning the whole way down the path. He couldn't help but notice that she would glance at him every now and then, but of course, he was stealing glances at her too. He steadied her when she stumbled. "I'm sorry My Lady, I must not be a very good escort."

Eidel laughed. "I wouldn't say that. Maybe you're too good." She gave him flirtatious glance, then quickly returned to pretending to be ladylike. "Thank you, kind sir," she said with a bow as they got to the end of the slope. They were now in the bottom of the ravine?

Lovell returned her flirtatious glance with a charming smile and then also went back to the charade. "You are most welcome, Divine Lady." He winked at her, and then bowed as well. Yes, they were at the bottom of the Ravine, and Lovell could see the berry bush not far away. He turned and nodded his head in it's direction, his antlers almost seeming to point the way. "Shall we?"

"Yes, thank you," she let go of his paw and made her way over to the bushes. She tried walking as daintily as she could, imagining she was some sort of princess. She was beginning to really enjoy playing pretend. "So, dear Sir Lovell, what were you doing out here all alone pray tell?"

Lovell followed behind her to the berry bush. He quickly came up with a good story to tell her. "Well you see, My Lady, I was following a ferocious beast! It was ginormous! Bigger than a mammoth! It caught my scent and suddenly turned on me. I fought with all my strength, but I dare say, I was no match for it. Then suddenly, I saw you up there on the ledge, dangling, and I knew that you needed me. With all my might I fought the beast back and finished him off with one strong blow from my antlers." He lowered his antlers as he said this, showing them off, knowing that she liked them. He then looked around. "Something must have gotten his remains. It's good to know that I helped some animal get food. And I saved a beautiful princess. That, My Lady, is my most honorable deed of all." He bowed and winked at her again. They had reached the berry bush, so he plucked a berry off and handed it to Eidel.

She carefully touched his antlers as he lowered them. "That's is amazing! You are so very brave," she praised him and stroked his chest as she clung to him. She was imagining that he had just saved her from a terrible beast. She took the berry he offered and ate it daintily.

"Hardly, I only did what I had to." He grinned at her praise. He then took a berry for himself and devoured it. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Princess?" he asked her when they had finished.
