Three sun-lite shapes loomed before Taiyaung. One he immediately recognized. Shimshek.....her feathers were ruffled, and her ears lacked their usual twitch, but it was Shimshek, still as beautiful as the sunrise, his one and only love. A snake coiled around Tai's stomach. Shimshek no longer radiated an unearthly, carefree glow, and he knew that it was his fault. His fault for disappearing, his fault for leaving her with three foals to raise on her own. It pained Tai to see how much his lifemate had suffered, and only more so when it had been because of him.
A paler, female version of himself stood haughtily beside Shimshek, and an ivory, gold-tinted male a little off to the side. Taiyaung allowed himself a proud flutter. His children, all grown up and stunning, like their mother. He cast one last look at Liang beside him, Liang, who had taken his sudden appearance relatively well, whom Tai felt a sudden bond with. He knew that his other two children may not be so welcoming, he in their hooves would definitely had bore a grudge, but in any case, he could no longer prolong the inevitable. Tai cast his eyes to the ground and counted his steps, one, two, three, four five.....until finally, he saw the golden swirls on his love's legs. Tai looked up. "M'lady Shimshek?"

liang was more openingly accepting because well he always wanted to know his father and because his father was quick to explain and he knew his father regreted having not known them from the day they came out of their baskets, he was not gonna hold a grudge. allowing tai to do the talking, he kept silent as he watched is mother and siblings reactions to the sudden appearance of tai along side himself.

That voice! Her reaction was immediate as she turned her gaze to look upon the one she has missed dearly these past months. "...Taiyaung..." she breathed, thinking she was imagining things again and that this was too good to be true. Was he really back? He looked more real than when she was imagining him like many times before. "Taiyaung... Is... is that really... you?" she whispered, reaching out to nuzzle him affectionately. "Darling, what have you been up to all this time...?" Indeed, it was wonderful to see him again, to feel him again, to be amazed at his beauty and strength.
Khepri could only stare. So... so this was Taiyaung, her father. He certainly had the same markings as she did; it was obvious that he was her father, because only he would give her the same coat, the same horn, the same markings. At the same time, she was angry; she was also sad... and annoyed. Her mixed feelings made her want to stomp and shout; she didn't like this... at all. "Taiyaung?" she questioned, when her mother called out to the stallion in such a loving manner she didn't even recognize her mother. "..." Certainly, this was the first time she had learned of her father's name... or was it? She didn't remember, and didn't care to remember. All in all, she just felt like a complete stranger meeting another stranger; her blood sang to her, telling her that he was her father, this golden unicorn, but her mind couldn't accept it...

Xiaodan turns his head toward the unfamiliar voice that called out to their mother and his upper lip curls up in a silent snarl. He could see that it is his father right off the bat because he looks so similiar to their sister Khepri due to the color and the swirls on his body. He narrows his eyes slightly as he stares at Taiyaung without saying any words at all. He could see that his foolish brother is standing by the stranger like he already accepted him while Khepri on other hand is not ready to accept him like he is.
A sardonic smile curves up on his lips as he stares at Taiyaung. "Oh? so we do have a father." He says through gritted grin and a terse smile. He knows that he will get punished by his mother whenever she finally snaps out of the trance this cursed Taiyaung put her in. "Mother..." He turns his head toward her to see if she will finally acknoweldge him.

Tai returned his mate's nuzzle fondly then draped his neck over her name. "Shim, Shim, Shim," he said. "I'm so sorry, please forgive me." Seeing Shim again, breathing in her soft scent, Tai felt like he could take on the world.
Reluctantly, Tai pulled away from his mate. They could catch up later; first, he had some business he needed to clear up first. "Khepr, Xiaodan," he said, addressing his two remaining children that Liang had so kindly named. "Forgive me for not being around. I hadn't even known that Shimshek was pregnant....." he sighed. "It pains me to say that I am only your father in name, and not experience. We know nothing about each other. I wish things were otherwise, but please, let us be friends. If not friends, then allow me to be a mentor. Please," he begged. "It is only my greatest desire to be your father, but I will not claim that honor as a stranger."

He turned back to Shim, although his story was addressed to Khepri and Xiaodan as well. "Shim, you know the beginning of this story. One day my two-legger girl got deathly sick, and she had been weak of body to begin with. None of the nearby healers knew what to do. I decided to leave and take my human, hoping to find someone who could help her. It was only supposed to take a few weeks, because well," Tai coughed and shuffled his feet, "Saika wouldn't have lasted that long." He continued, "But well, anyways, after about two weeks of non-stop travelling, we found a traveling tribe with a skilled healer. I had kept Saika alive so far with my uni magic, but it had been a losing battle. The healer, however, had some unknown power, and slowly brought her back to health. But then, when we attempted to leave, the tribe forbade us. Well, Saika was permitted to leave, but they wanted me. They had never seen a Soquili before, and I was some mystical novelty to them. They captured me by force. I was treated well enough, but guarded constantly. Saika refused to leave me, and she eventually became an honorary member of the tribe. The healer who had cured her even took her as an apprentice. Then, one night, at some two-legger celebration, Saika, using her newfound knowledge, created a sleeping draught and slipped it into all of the tribes' drinks. She freed me and we escaped. However, by that time, many moons had passed, and we were far from the Soquili lands. It took many more moons for Saika and I to find our way back, and we had just returned early this morning."

Liang stepped away from his father as he felt things might get a bit heated between his siblings and father. from where he stood if anyone saw it would seem he was being a bit of a outcast because he stayed a bit away from the group. he had nothing to say and he would allow Tai to explain things since it was Tai who needed to deal with the rest of the family not himself. ruffling his wings a bit, he just listened.
