[Oblivous] I played a BTB 5-String the other day and loved it. If you're willing to spend $500-$600, that's the bass to get. I have a 4 string BTB. I would say that it was worth every single penny. Its much better than any other bass I have played. But now I want to get a 6 string fretless, so I have a larger range to play with! You wont regret the BTB if your willing to kick out $600!

Okay. New update.
Since I've had so much trouble finding a half way decently priced SRX500, my dad found another bass, an Ibanez ATK300 4-string.
Anybody heard of/played/or liked this bass?

The lowest SRX500 I could find was $474. And I wasn't able to find any ATK300's. I don't even see them on the Ibanez site! I hope I'm just blind.
It might just be me, but the Roadgears are pretty good if your interested in them. I have a RD500, and she works like a charm. Only costing around $400, she was an awsome deal. 3nodding
I'll contiue to look for the other ones online, though. Good luck smile

The bid (which has already ended with only one bidder) said that the ATK series had been discontinued so the good news is that your not blinds.
I'll look into those roadgears you were talking about.
The weird thing is that on some other forum that my dad was using, the only people who had got their hands on the SRX500s had gotten them for under $300 which is a mystery to me, seeing as the lowest price I've found so far (which, believe it or not, was from Brook Mays) was $380 or something like that.
Thanks for the help though.

I would go with one of the soundgear series basses. I have a 5-string one and i love it. It is my favorite bass out of all that i have played.
