Valens gave a nod of his head and watched as the lizard girl dashed off, smiling before he turned to Ellie, "Hey... Ellie. Do you want to wait here for us? It wouldn't be a date with three you know." He said, he loved his dragon but it would be strange with her there with them, watching them...
Ellie starred at her boy and gave a huff, "I go."
Valens's ears laid back, crossing his arms over his chest, "You can if you get a date, maybe Damaris's dragon?" He suggested.
Ellie's eyes went wide and she gave a sputtering sound, head shaking back and forth rapidly. No! She couldn't go on a date with the blue, if anyone she wanted to go on a date with that teacher! She blinked, trying to figure out if she'd said that out loud... when she was instantly teased she realized it had been a mental thought.
"Alright then, you wait here. We will come back after the fireworks, ok?" He said, sounding hopeful. Had he actually outsmarted her?
She gave a sighing sound and a nod, "Fine..." If the only way she got to go was to go with someone other then the one she had a crush on then she would stay behind.

Damaris took a while getting herself ready but she finally came back out. She had her hair looking all fancy and she had on one of those dresses her dad bought her...of course she made a few, well, alterations. It was cut, slanted from the knee down and she turned it into a strapless, instead making the fabric lace around her neck. Her stomach still showed which she almost lost her temper over but the thought of a date made her too excited.
Red peeked out the doorway after his girl. He wasn't sure what she seemed so happy about, it was awfully weird. Although he wouldn't say it it made him kind of, happy to see her in such a good mood. He spotted that horse boy again. Was he the one that made Damaris like this? He glanced back into her destruction of a room then back out at the smiling girl and figured he had to have something to do with it.
Red spotted Ellie as well, though he didn't seem to pay too much attention to her. She didn't seem too interested in him last time they met and he didn't really seem to care either.
"I'm ready, sorry for the wait." She said walking up to Valens she was a little nervous but it was just a date right? And Valens being who he was, just sort of eased some of the nervousness.

Valens stood as calmly as he possibly could while waiting. He wasn't used to standing still nor did he do it often aside from when he was in a class so he lifted a hand to play with one of his many braids, his ears flicked back and forth, and his tail swished side to side. His movements were enough to gain the attention of the Silver dragon who could only stare at him a moment before shaking her head.
At least he was behaving she thought to herself before her head lifted, sniffing at the air as a somewhat familiar scent reached her. She turned her head toward where it was coming from and saw the Blue dragon that Valens had mentioned. Her eyes widened and she found sudden interest in the floor beneath her feet. Had he heard her boy? Did he come here wanting a date? How embarrassing!
She was a little relived when she lifted her gaze again and found him no longer looking her way. Thank goodness...
Valens perked up when Damaris reappeared, giving her want of his toothy grins, "Its alright, shall we go then?" He asked before adding,"Ellie has opted to stay here so we can go on our own."

Red snickered a bit to himself and shook his head as he caught glimpse of the silver dragon out of the corner of his eye.
"Aww, thank you Ellie." She said crouching down and stroking the Silvers head, "That's really nice of you." She said before standing up and looking back at her own dragon still lurking in her bedroom doorway, "Red you be on your best behavior and get Ellie whatever she wants." She said wagging her finger at him.
Red huffed and turned his nose up in an act of rebellion. He didn't like being told what to do and acted like he wouldn't do it, however, he would end up listening anyhow.
"Alright!" Damaris said turning to Valens. she smiled back at him before heading towards the door.

Valens gave a wave to his dragoness before giving all of his attention to Damaris, falling into step alongside her once they got outside. He looked up at the sky which was slowly growing darker which meant that the fireworks would start soon, "How far from here is the park?" He asked, wondering if they would have time to make it on food.
Ellie looked over at Red for a long moment before rising to her feet, "My name is Ellie." She introduced herself, thinking it may be good to make friends if she were going to be here all night with just the Chromatic.

"A couple of blocks, not very far." Damaris said with a smile as she walked aside Valens. She was glad that he had come and asked her to go do something with him. She was even more excited that this was an actual date. The Fourth of July was a holiday she rather liked, fireworks, cotton candy, sparklers all that fun stuff.
Red looked at her a bit, she was no doubt a metallic dragon, one of those sickeningly goody goody dragons. Or so he heard. He waddled on down to the kitchen passing Ellie on the way, "Red." He said in Draconic. He still didn't have english down, he didn't care a whole lot about that language but he was learning, it would be useful.

Valens smiled, "Cool, shouldn't take any time at all to get there." He said, wondering how crowded the park would be. He would have to keep close to Damaris if it were anything like the Boardwalk. That place had been very crowded. His hooves clicked on the sidewalk, filling the moments where they didn't talk with rhythmic sound.
There were a lot of scents that came to him when they got close, that of people, of the scent of the burning sparklers, of some various food items, and his tail set to swishing, "Ooo, they have snacks?" He sounded pretty excited, then again it didn't take much with Valens.
Ellie watched him walk by, blinking a couple times. Red?
"But... your blue." She blurted out before looking sufficiently embarrassed over the slip of her tongue, "Sorry, sorry. That was rude." She waited there for only a moment before following after him.
There was nobody else here to talk to and even if he were Chromatic she was able to get along well enough with Hinder and he was a Green. Given and chance and some luck maybe Red wouldn't be so bad? At least he was just a Blue called Red instead of an actual Red...
Those she could do without.

Damaris laughed a little at Valens excitement over the food, "They probably have some snack stands set up, yeah." They had to walk over a hill to get there and at the top of the hill you could see the stands set up and the people chattering down below. It wasn't as bad as the board walk but it was still pretty crowded, "Oh look Valens, candy apples, didn't you like those?" She said pointing to a food stand remembering his excitement about them at the boardwalk.
Red grunted a bit at the comment. Of course he was blue, his name he tried not to think much of. His girl seemed to have a rather peculiar sense of humor.
Red walked over to the fridge and tried to pry it open. Damaris had forgotten to lock it back up again before she left. He was in luck. The door swung open and the blue dragon basked in the glory that was the refrigerator for a moment before starting to pull food out.

The horse boy's smile brightened that much more at the mention of candy apples which he believed were the best invention ever when it came to snack foods, "Ooooo, awesome! I will have to make sure to get one before we leave." He said, then set to looking around for a place on the stands to sit. It was looking a little crowded but there were still spaces open, "If we hurry I bet we can get some seats closer to the top, sound good?"
Ellie watched Red as he headed into the kitchen and got into the refrigerator. She sat down, watching him with her silver gaze. He didn't seem to be the most talkative male now did he? She found herself wondering if she should try to strike up conversation but given his mouth was busy with eating she decided against it.

Damaris looked around, she spotted what she was looking for and smiled, "Hang on," She said leaving Valens to go and buy them each a candy apple before coming back to Valens, "Here," She said handing him one, "Now follow me." She said taking a hold Valens free hand.
She saw the hill her dad had shown her last year. It was hard to see, and you wouldn't be able to spot it unless you knew you were looking for it. It was the perfect spot to watch the fire works. It was also far enough off from the main part of the park so that you wouldn't have to shout to hear each other, "I know a really good spot!" She said starting to lead him off.
Red sat there stuffing his face for a while until he felt the Silver's gaze upon him. He looked up from his feast at her. He then returned to his food, thought for a moment again then looked at the Silver again. He contemplated something in his mind, his girl had instructed him to be nice. Maybe if he was nice to this Silver when that horrible man got home he wouldn't lock him up for eating if his girl convinced him not to.
The wyrmling found a chicken in the fridge and rolled it over towards the Silver with his nose.

Valens gave a happy sound when the treat was handed over to him, taking a bite out of it as he was led along toward the 'secret spot'. It must be a secret if it were a good spot and nobody else knew about it.
His tail started to swish behind him, "You know all kinds of cool spots, huh?" He asked, she must go adventuring a lot. First the pretty spot she'd been drawing at in the woods now her spot in the park. He looked completely in awe.
Ellie looked down at the food she'd been offered before she perked up, tail swishing back and forth, "Thank you very much." She said, giving him a toothy smile before she lowered her head to eat the tasty treat.

Damaris giggled a little, "I go out a lot, I always try to find new spots to draw so I found some neat places." She said as she led him to the tiny hill.
She led him behind some trees and up the incline until they were atop the hill, "We should be able to see the fireworks really well from here!" She said as she looked at the sky.
"Thanks...for asking me to go out tonight Valens." She said blushing a bit and slightly leaning against the horses shoulder. She owed him a lot, first time she met him he had made her feel better when she was terrified from an old childhood fear. Now when she was dealing with a crisis he came to see how she was doing and ask her to go out and do something. Not even mentioning a word about the way she looked.
Red gave an acknowledging grunt before he returned to his hoard of food. At least this dragon had the knowledge that he was being kind to her and he didn't at all have to give her food if he didn't want to.

"We should go adventuring sometime together." He suggested as they made their way up the hill and he looked out over the lay of the land that they could see from the top of the hill. His ears turned forward, tail swishing as he looked around, "Nice view."
He turned his attention to Damaris when she leaned against him and he gave her a grin, "Thank you for coming along." He said, he was actually rather honored that she would go out on a date with him, "Shall we sit?"
When she was through with her meal the Silver laid down, crossing her front legs and watched the hungry Blue. He seemed determined to finish off all of the food in teh fridge she thought to herself then gave a little grin.
He was a little on the chubby side but it made him look more cute then anything... not that she would say as much out loud.

"That would be fun." Damaris agreed with a smile as she sat down at Valens offer, "Thank you for asking me...it means a lot to me." she said to him. With all she had been going through, the fact that some one went out of their way to find out where she lived and even ask her on a date. It meant the world to her. With all her inner turmoil Valens seemed to calm that, if only for a night.
Blue dragons were notorious for gorging themselves and Red was no exception. He ate everything in the fridge until the point that if he were to eat anymore he felt as though he may pop.
Content with that feeling he laid himself down right there on the kitchen floor quite proud and satisfied with himself.

Once sitting the horse boy gulped down the rest of his candy coated treat, careful not to get any of it on his face, hands, or in his braids. When it was gone he tucked the stick into his pocket. He turned to Damaris, "Its no problem, I like hanging out with you." He said, giving her a bright smile before he looked up to the sky. It was darkened enough that the fireworks should be starting soon.
He set to sniffing at the air and his ears twitching from side to side as if trying to catch any sounds or scents that would say they were starting. Nothing of that nature yet, just normal earthy scents that went along with the park.
Ellie did her best not to chuckle when the Blue dragon flopped down and laid there looking quite swollen from his meal but content as well. She lowered her head to rest it on the ground as she watched him. She didn't mean to stare but he was the only Blue she knew, she wanted to learn about him and about them which meant watching or questioning.
The latter seemed like something that would go better.
