((Aw, sorry FFN!))
"Faith, look away!" Day yelled.
Faith turned her head down, trying hard not to look into Adira's captivating glare. Eventually, she brought her tail in front of her eyes.
"Now use rock smash!"
Faith knew it was another super effective move. She clenched her paws into small fists, and rammed them into Adira's pile of bones and rocks, trying to send her falling.

The two of them watched as Faith started to charge towards the small mountain of rocks and bones Adira was currently standing and coming fast! If Kayla is recognizing correctly, Rock Smash will be a high damaging for a cranidos.
"Get off of there, Adira!" Kayla shouted.
Faith was only moments away from smashing into the small mountain when Adira jumped off and running back to where she started this battle.
Now out of harms way for the moment, Kayla had to think of another strategy to bring down this raichu and fast!
"Let's do Ice Beam!"
Adira took a deep breath, which cause a light blue ball of ice energy to form in her mouth. The ball of energy was starting to overwhelm Adira's mouth before she released it, hoping to freeze Faith in time for a while.

Day had never seen an ice beam before, but she heard Kayla, and knew what would happen if Faith didn't move. She was stuck in a few bones and rocks, but it was just enough to make it impossible to move. The only place to go was underground. "Faith, use dig!"
Faith saw the blue ball in Adira's mouth grow as she struggled to get through the hill that she partially destroyed with her last move. Finally, just as the icy beam left the Cranidos's mouth, she burrowed into the ground. Sniffing around for her opponent, Faith crawled under the field, until she was right under Adira. Faith scrambled up to tackle her in the stomach.

"Arugh! Not again!" Kayla shouted in frustration as Faith went underground again. Even though, the raichu hadn't used it in this battle, just dealing with a digging pokemon is annoying. Now they have to listen carefully or they might be an easy target. "Be careful, Adira!"
When Kayla finished her warning, Faith burst out from underneath and slammed into Adira's underbelly, causing her to shoot up into the air.
"Use Ice Beam again, Adira! Full force!"
Adira opened her eyes and prepared another ice beam attack. Once she started to decend to the ground, she released the attack and hoping to catch the electric rat before it could escape.

"Faith, use dig again!" Day shouted. But it was too late. Faith was frozen in place like an ice sculpture. Until she thawed out, which would take a long time due to the field, there was nothing Day or Faith could do.

 "Finally!" Kayla relaxed a bit as the Raichu is now frozen stiff.
Adira was already almost dead on her feet but she managed to turn the tables around.
"Let's try to finish this quickly! Use Earthquake!"
Adira jumped into the air and stomped the ground with her tail as a second wave and caused the ground to shudder. The waves of the earthquake aimed at Faith.

"FAITH MOVE!" Day screamed as the crack got closer to Faith. Again, she was unable to move, and the tremors of the earthquake caused the ground under her to fail, and sent the block of ice sliding around a bit. A crack in the ice signaled that Faith could move in a couple of turns.

"Good work, Adira. Now we need to try to bring Faith down a few more notches and if possible out of this battle." Kayla coached Adira as the cranidos started to walk towards the frozen Raichu.
Adira smirked. The electric rat had placed a number on her since the start of the battle but no more. She was going to show the mouse that she was top predator and not her.
"Let's use Dig again!"
Adira went into the ground in an instantly. She swirled around Faith a few times before charging up and at her.

 Adira slammed into Faith again, this time cracking the ice and also, Day reasoned, leaving Faith with very little energy. She could see that it would only take one more attack to break her out, and so she didn't bother even making a command.
Faith's senses were beginning to return, but whatever she could see was glazed over with ice. She wondered how long she had been frozen, because she felt very weak. All around her, and filling her ears, was the sound of ice slowly cracking and melting. One more attack from Adira would get her out, but Faith worried that it could finish her off too.

As the ice was melting off the raichu, Adira was starting to tire again but that didn't stop her from continuing the battle. "Now Adira, use Earthquake!
Once again, Adira leaped into the air. While in midflight, her feet started to glow before landing hard onto the ground, sending a shockwave crack towards the newly unfrozen Faith.

"Faith, jump!" Day yelled.
Faith unfroze just in time to leap out of the earthquake's destructive path. She landed closer to Adira, ready to attack. She didn't remember being frozen, but she still felt chilly and weaker since the last time she was able to move.
"Time for another iron tail! Move from above!" Day ordered, so relieved to see that Faith was freed from her icy prison.
Faith jumped up again and sailed towards Adira, her tail glowing a brilliant white.

Adira growled angrily when the little rat jumped to aviod the possibily fatal attack. Her tail lashed in show of her irritation, Adira's hackles raised high.
This was not how she had hope would happen and even more so when she missed seeing the iron tail slamming into her side that caused her to fall over and skid to a stop.
Kayla winced as she watched Adira slowly rise. This has got to end soon. "Dig, Adira!" When both back feet were planted onto the ground, Adira dug into the ground and disapppeared.
Using her tough skin and senses, she aimed her attack at Faith's location.

Faith couldn't tell where Adira was going to come up, and, pretty positive that she would lose the battle anyway, didn't make an attempt to move out of the way, despite Day telling her to use the nearest tree as an escape from Adira's ground attack. So, just as Faith wanted, the dinosaur hit with enough force to bring Faith down to her last bit of energy.
Day knew that this would be Faith's last attack of the battle, and to make it easy on her, gave a fairly simple attack to perform. "Faith, we aren't going down without a fight. Use that last bit of energy on mud slap!"
Faith used her tail to scoop up a big clump of mud and rocks and hurled it at Adira, feeling her strength dwindle down to almost nothing.
