"Ch-ch-chuuuuuu!" ChuChu stumbled and toppled off the pillar, hitting the ground hard.
Almost before ChuChu had recovered, Renekai shouted, "Rollout!"
"Rai!" ChuChu grinned. This would make that Arcanine howl in pain! This was a super-effective move, this time for sure, sorry about the mistake last time!
ChuChu pulled in a lungful of air, leaped into the air, and landed with a resounding thud, sending a cascade of sand and stone to whirl its way at Aura.

"Use your speed and dodge her, Aura!"
Barking, Aura instantly jumped out of the way of the attack and landed perfectly near her trainers' platform. Snarling, she crouched and pawed at the ground again. Aura wasn't going down THAT easily! Not by a long shot!
"Okay Aura! Chase her down and use Crunch to stop Chuchu! We can't let that attack increase!"
Able to manuver better on the soft, heated sands, Aura took off after the rolling pokemon with her jaws opened wide. Fangs glimmered in the light as the Arcanine bore down on Chuchu once more.

"Rollout of the way!" Renekai called, hardly aware that she was using an attack to dodge.
ChuChu quickly created another Rollout, causing herself to roll backwards while the debris rolled forwards, right into Aura's path. No way to dodge that one! Unfortunately, ChuChu clipped the end of her tail on one of Aura's teeth, causing yet another world of hurt directed on ChuChu lovely and wounded tail. "RAI!" ChuChu shouted in anger, recieving a mouth full of sand. ChuChu spat, got up, and scampered to a safer distance, not yet daring to look back to see if her attack hit...

Aura cried out as the attack connected, causing her to tumble into the ground as a wayward stone smacked her in the cheek. She layed there for a few seconds before standing and shaking the sand from her fur.
Jen bit her lip, pondering a new move while fingering Abiba's pokeball. She needed...something to switch the battle to her advantage! ANYTHING! Blast the four move rule!
"Use Fire Fang again, and aim for her body this time!"
The arcanine darted after the rolling Raichu again, flames glimmering around her tounge and teeth. This pokemon was beginning to get to her...No wonder Aeon didn't like this Raichu!

((That was a 150 damage attack))
"Roll out of-- I mean, Rollout of the way again!" Renekai shouted, but too late.
"Geh!" ChuChu gasped as the wind was knocked out of her. She struggled her her feet, feeling the fur on her back. Well, at least the fur wasn't falling out, never mind the smell. ChuChu grimaced, then hit the ground hard. Once again, the ground rose and whirled, tumbling and rolling and gaining speed, at Aura. This battle was getting even more serious.

Aura stumbled after the attack hit her, exhaustion causing the pokemon the slump slightly.
"ARGH!" Jen gripped the railing of the trainer's platform, glaring at Chuchu. This wasn't going well.....why where they having so many problems today? Maybe Jupiter was out of alignment or..something weird like that.
Eh...whatever. Might as well finish things off.
"HEY! USE STRENGTH!"
Getting back onto her feet, Aura grabbed one of the large chunks of rock with her mouth and hurled it at the rolling Chuchu. She didn't stop at one though, as the other sailed through the air, Aura grabbed another one and tossed it so it followed suit.

"ROLLOUT OF--"
ChuChu didn't wait to hear the rest. With all her remaining strength, ChuChu made another rollout, the force causing her to tumble heads over heels, but luckily she stopped rolling before she got hurt. The falling rocks fell short or overshot their small target.
"--of the... way..." Renekai finished weakly, a small grin of relief forming on her face. That was a bit scary.
ChuChu made a V for victory at Renekai, then stuck her tongue out at the dust where Aura must be. But was it too early to be celebrating...?

"Again! AURA STRENGTH!"
Aura launched another barrage of rocks at the rolling Chuchu, while panting with exhaustion. NO MORE!

"Waaargh! Rollout, roll, c'mon..." Renekai moaned, wanting the battle to end. Both pokemon had worked so hard! And, Aura especially, they were reaching their limits.
"Rai! Rai!" ChuChu squeaked as she was hit, bruised, and buffeted from side to side. Luckily, the damage still wasn't massive. Panting heavily, ChuChu created yet another Rollout, this one feebler than the last. It was getting harder...
Warily, ChuChu got up, staring hard into the dust where her attack had hit. No celabrating until she could be sure... Keep on guard...

Aura simply slumped over in the sand; the battle finally became too much for her and the fire-type pokemon blacked out on the field.
"Aw man.....Poor Gal..." Holding out the pokeball, a beam of red light enveloped Aura and drew her back into the pokeball. Jen smiled and gave the device a gentle squeeze before placing back into her backpack.
"You did good, girl. But now..." Picking up the pokeball she had been fingering before, Jen enlarged it and tossed it out onto the field. "Lets have another go! Abiba! Yer up!"
With a burst of white light, Abiba appeared on the field...terrified to pieces. With the biggest, saddest teary eyes she could muster, along with her tail tucked against her body and ears pinned against her head...well, Jen swore she heard a couple of the spectators go "AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!" at the sight of her Pikachu.
Eyes glimmering, Abiba turned and pleaded to her trainer. "Pikachu pika! Pi pi chu!" She didn't wanna battle!
"Come on, Abi! Please? Just this one time? For me?"
A light sigh and a slow nod. Abiba simply couldn't say "no" to her favorite human.
"Okay! Now let's go!"
"PIKACHU!" A determined expression took the place of her sad one. Let's see if she had gotten some of her fathers' talent.

((How we determined it was that when a pokemon is defeated and the trainer sends out a new pokemon, they can't immediately attack. Rene then has a chance to either switch out or keep ChuChu in and attack that turn :3 ))

"Good job, ChuChu," Renekai said, smiling. That had been a rather tough battle, both pokemon being so determined. "Come on back!"
ChuChu gratefully clambered up to Renekai and sat back to watch the rest of the battle. ChuChu winced a bit; she was aching all over and her arm and tail hurt especially.
"A trip to the pokemon center as soon as we're done." Renekai promised the Raichu solemnly. "Okay, Bell, your turn," the young trainer whispered to her only pokeball that contained a pokemon. "Please don't be mad at me," she added before the red beam ejected Bell onto the battle field.
For the first time, Renekai was paying attention to her opponent's next pokemon. She had heard the crowd coo, of course, but she had been preoccupied with the safety of ChuChu. Anyway, nothing could have prepared her for this!
"Abiba! Wha, no!" Renekai, like nearly everyone else, loved Abiba. "But... She's so cute... She can't... We... I mean... Well..." Renekai's voice dwindled until no one except a person who was of excellent hearing and was less than two inches away from Renekai could hear. "Well," Renekai repeated. "Well... Are you ready?" she asked her Delibird glumly.
"Del!" Bell stated firmly, her eyes narrowed and ready for battle. She, apparently, had no problem with fighting a cute little Abiba.
"I was afraid of that..." Renekai finished sadly.
